Following on from what @midukki was saying,

1984 - ‘Oru Kochu Kadha Arum Parayatha Kadha’ - Meena had a role as Mammooti’s daughter.

2001 - ‘Rakshasa Rajavu’ - Meena was opposite Mammootti as his wife.

2014 - ‘Balyakala Sakhi’ - Meena as Mammootti’s mother.

And the saddest part is, all the comments under this photo were talking about how ‘ageless’ and ‘immortal’ he is.

I miss drinking rooh afza with water. Rooh afza, for those of you who are not familiar with it, is a type of sherbet. Although it has fruity ingredients, it is usually referred to as rose syrup, because the first flavour that you absorb from it is the rose. In the summer we would sit on the verandah and play a traditional game of pallanguzhi with cowry shells. The eastern breezes were low and hot (garmiyan ki lu) and we would each have a glass of rooh afza and water to keep the tropical heat at bay. It was a wonderfully cooling drink but it also made you feel magical, like you were drinking something secret. Secrecy is steeped in the flavour of the drink, memory-vignettes, and most of all the dreams of burgundy roses blooming in the dusk that followed.
