Purpose: Student Appreciation Day

Description: Our school held student appreciation day for all the students. We had free cookies, drinks, desserts, bounce houses, and sword fighting. I enjoyed this event all though this was the only picture I got (I was having too much fun).

Description: I learned the definition of plagiarism and what different forms there are. I realized the differences of quoting, paraphrasing, and directly stealing from source.

Description: I’ve never really been to the academic support center, only passed by it on the way to the library but I was surprised at how many wonderful resources they really had including tutors and the math and writing help.

Purpose: Participate with my new classmates on the first day of class.

Description: Welcome week is the first week of the new semester where they host events where you can win prizes and meet some of the faculty. I had the question of what sports do we currently have at FSW.

Description: My composition two teacher holds a writing contest every year for students to join in hopes to win money for their work. I submitted a poem last December but unfortunately did not win.

Purpose: To be informed on the horrific event.

Description: When the holocaust train was at our campus I visited a few times with my classes and with friends. We all learned a lot about the events that went on with the victims. We realized how must we really didn’t know about the past events that went on and what the victims went through over the few years.

Purpose: To be aware of what different forms of sexual abuse and harassment there are and how to prevent myself from getting in those situations.

Description: I completed this course to learn about sexual violence. I learned how and where to reports acts of abuse not only at school, in the work place but also in my day to day life.

Purpose: Discuss my transfer to a university next semester. 

Description: We spoke about how my credits would transfer and how many more I need to complete my AA degree. She gave me valuable advice on how to handle new life at a bigger college.
