“I promise ya, a shield was supposed to be on me.” Apparently people found it amusing that he had a hooked trash can lid as a makeshift shield. But, the great thing about being able to adapt to the situation and richochet it to keep his enemies at bay while his swordplay was focused on those close to him. Though, he dared to never try that with his actual Hylian shield.

“Hmm? Oh. It’s just a tune that a horse o’ mine enjoyed back home. She gets so excited when she hears it, she could be far away and come gallopin’ right besides ya.” He explained. Playing an exerpt of the tune through his whistle. The sounds of the grass whistle reminiscent of music that was so common place in the rural and country side of Hyrule. He did long to return to his home someday. The city itself while never short of surprises. It didn’t have the charm that he’s grown to love in his upbringing.

“Then you are luck then, We share the aim and goal.” He gives a reassured nod. Perhaps this was a blessing to find a woman with unflinching bravery as the maiden before her. A look into her eyes was enough to convince him for what he was about to ask.
“My name is Link. I have been goin’ around and savin’ those I come across outside the city. I figure that we will have better chance escortin’ these folks if we work together. The sooner we can prevent harm to befall on people. The better in my book.” He extended an open palm and an open chance to gain a like minded ally. There were people that were quick to give in their pessimism and say people won’t rise to the occasion. But, Link continues to see evidence to the contrary among those he encounters and believes that any hero can come from any place.
A smile rose upon Micaiah’s face as Link confirmed that they shared a goal, especially because it seemed he was not about to refuse her help. She took ahold of Link’s hand and spoke: “Micaiah. My name is Micaiah,” before shaking his hand. Her smile faded a moment after, at which point she looked over her shoulder and at a nearby group of refugees.
“We should hurry, now that we have met. Those here… If they were to be attacked, it’s likely that they wouldn’t be able to defend themselves, depending on the attacker.”
She looked back at Link before asking, “Where are we taking them?”
He looked across to see said refugees. Well it seems Micaiah was well on her way doing her part out of the kindness of her heart. This was very convenient for him seeing how all that remained was guiding them to a safe house, far away from any danger.
“I know of a couple a’ that takes in folks just fine. I work with Hive City Heroes. We got barracks back in the base that people can stay with if they don’t feel too safe.” As he takes his residence at the headquarters as of late. As residing in the districts with how dangerous things are now outside would be foolish to linger there any further.
“We got food along with medicine to patch anyone injured” Now that he was on his train of thought. “We should get rollin’ soon, Miciahah. Our buildin’ is located in Sector 006. Do you have any means of defendin’ yourself in case somethin’ happens?” He asked to be sure as Link had to be mindful of several people’s safety including her’s.
With that kind of cheeky response. He was convinced that it had to her. Considering her penchant for rapid fire teasing around him. In that case, he supposed he could ease around her. A small smirk graced curved to the side. Tilting his head to the side since the other was already well on her way to shake his head around so freely.
“Wait, you’re are feelin’ mighty genereous? Now I am definitely skeptical. Are you feelin’ ill Midna?” Meeting her words to the beat of his own. Meeting her words with a jest of his own knowing some of her habits don’t die down so easily. In any case, he could probably guide her hands away from his sight but for now it seemed he would remain in a stalemate and attempt to coax her hands away from him as he took his position.

I’ll be sure to keep that in mind for whenever I feel like I should be nice to you. “ A note she would keep to herself perhaps if he was ill she’d pounce on him to make him feel even worse. Better yet, perhaps shoving him into a body of water would be more humorous to the Twili.
♚ “ You’re absolutely no fun, “ she’d state while removing her hands from his eyes to give him back his sight. “ There you are you can see now again mister hero. “ Her tone at the end though would be a slight mocking and teasing one toward him. A small hum would come out of her though as she thought on something, but only because she remembered the wise words of a certain princess in the city. “ I do have to ask though…what is the last thing you remember from home? Because if you only remember me as a imp…perhaps you shouldn’t turn around. “ Why would she ask such a question? Only because the princess last knew Midna when she as in her cursed imp form. The only way to know if he was from the same time period as the princess was to only simply ask.
In response to that, a small laugh escaped him. Already the 'slander' was being clawed out among the two. 'Absolutely No fun? I think you are off by a bit there, Midna.'
Though when presented with the strange question he blinked. Before going to turn around and seeing the Twili himself. From there he was assured it was here and a easy smile of relief course through him. Even if it had been just a few weeks since she entered the barrier back into her realm. It felt like it ages seeing the Twiili once again. Though he still has yet to get use to seeing her in actual form. He was so used to seeing her as imp during their journey it hadn’t settled in quite yet.
'Last thing I remember was headin' off to see Princess Zelda. She invited me over to the castle’. Had to be somethin’ important if it was sent to me personally. Hopped on a horse and rode off.. What happened after is.. well all blurry to me.” He shrugged. While that was one reason to travel to the capital, he also was curious to see the reconstruction period of the capital. After taking care of two power hungry dictators. It was no surprise the aftermath left things in disarray.

Call it having moments of unyielding optimism. Even when situations have proven to test the limits of his resolves. He still held on to some hope and faith of his fellow people. When others are quick to dismiss such comments. Link still had faith of those who were kind and or compassionate. After all, he never discounted the kindness from people willing to assist him. In this case, a young woman who wield what seemed to be a wooden staff. Link had insisted that the injury was only minor and that he could shrug it off. However, once the pain sparked into his sword arm, Yuna was more than convinced on her claim
With that he, he gave in to accepting the healer’s help. He held out his arm as much as he could while he waited patiently to see her magic in action. “I thank ya kindly for patching me up. Lucky of ya to show up when ya did.” He had to wonder if this would be a recurring pattern. The gods blessing him with people kind enough to aid him with his injuries. Thus far, Two ladies helping with his wounds. He should really start to be mindful of his aggressive nature in bouts. This string of luck could end at any moment and he couldn’t let luck carry him through this.
Yuna gave a soft laugh, before tending back to his wounds. One Cure wasn’t enough for him; either the wound was deep, or she had underestimated how much the city had weakened her. She couldn’t complain. Yuna could still heal. That was the important thing.
The young man had a very strange accent though. In all of her travels, she had never heard anything like it. Yuna had to try so hard not to giggle. It wasn’t nice to laugh at things people couldn’t help, but it was so…!! “It’s alright. I’m just glad you’re okay.” After a couple of Cures, it seemed like everything was alright. “Can you move your arm now?” Hopefully, it would have been enough.
Link proceeds to slowly move his arm to test the waters if her magic work. It wasn’t often that he came across cleric around these parts of the city. Nor does he recall meeting a lot of him back when he was traveling across the lands of Hyrule. A quick glance had him curious about the type of clothing she wore. It’s certainly a very elegant garb for a cleric.
He grasped his hand on his shoulder looking to turn his arm in a wider direction. He blinked as he felt all the pain that once burned into his nerve seep away at an instant. “Yeah, in fact. It feels like I never injured it at all!” He commented as this type of magic could benefit him should he need to ask of Yuna’s assistance. Before he continued on that train of thought. He realizes it probably would be limited in use. If they replaced his sword and shield with something not as good. They could have tampered with the power of magic users as well.
“Any other surprise y’all are holdin’ out on me besides being a healer?” A light and playful jest. He never was intuned with a magical side himself. Besides being the bearer of the Triforce of Courage. He prefered to go up close and personal with his blades and or fist. Still he could understand the work that’s put in to conjuring up magic spells. It probably took a fair amount of concentration and know how to get it to work properly.

None that Link has encountered so far. But knowing this city, I am sure there will some less than savory characters that can make his list of enemies. Those that seek to do harm to others or out to cause destruction will definitely have you on his enemy list (White Fang could be a good example). But no personal enemy he has to face while in Citta just yet. I do anticpate that day (that or if a TP!Ganondorf decides to app tbh)

On a broad scope. He does miss all of his friends and companions back in Ordon Village. He is unsure how time works in this realm, for all he knew, time would work differently and feel like it would be years after when he eventually returns. More specifically, he does miss Ilia. Since she was the go to person for him to talk to him about anything. He can already picture that she is probably worried since he has no real means to communicate with her and she wouldn’t know of his situation.

Currently he can’t use the stone that allows him to transform int a wolf. Though he doesn’t really miss it seeing how he won’t need to rely it so often to get the job done in helping out folks whenever he can. He has his own skills as a fighter and swordsman to get him through the various conflicts he will soon face.

Yuna wasn’t sure how it had gotten to this point. Somehow, the two of them were sitting together, with the young man - she still hadn’t even caught his name - telling her a folk tale from his home. She nodded along, listening intently. When he had finished, Yuna clapped for him.
“That was wonderful! Do you know any others?”
“I got a couple more tales. But they are more of my adventures across where I am from if you eager to listen!” He added. One thing that never seemed to fade was his enthusiasm to tell others of was his experiences of traveling seeing all sorts a things he only dreamed off being a simple country boy living his life among village. It made him much more appreciative of his opportunity to broaden his horizon and view of the world around him.
“But, before I get a head of myself. I haven’t given my audience member a proper introduction. Names Link. Your personal story teller for the day.” He jested with a chuckle looking at the other with a lax grin on his face. He had to restrain his focus on weaving his tales to get to know the woman who stayed from beginning to end.
“I thank ya kindly..” He winced. A pained breath escaped him as the assistance was very much appreciative considering she could have had nothing to do with him. “Reckless? Me and ‘reckless’ have been good friends for a while now..” It’s not like she was wrong really. Then again. the number he faced seemed rather tame compared to odds that a lesser man would find insurmountable the moment the sign of trouble arises. Sometimes, going with his gut seemed to get the job done at the risk of getting less than favorable results at times.
“Perhaps. Even more so. I had arrived in this city a recently and it was fine before this boiled over..” Call it perfect timing on his part to arrive right before the main event would explode upon the city. Now everyone was frantic, panicked and erratic. Though he was no strange to this situations. Because of this. he could assist those who couldn’t fend for themselves. It was a duty that sometimes lead to thanks or none. That was simply the nature of things. He has accepted that for as long as he started his journey back at his home.
“I don’t think things were ever fine here,” even before the uprising; something was always going on and the situation itself was unpleasant despite the comforts the city offered. She’s happy to have this chance to see her friends again, but at the end of the day they were mere test subjects at the hands of the scientists. Rummaging around in her jacket pocket she reveals a key; likely to the place she planned to take her new acquaintance. “Seems like you had some pretty bad timing then huh?” Her smile is amused, but only briefly as it was hardly a matter to laugh at. Approaching a building complex, a rather run down one at that, save for a door painted a pastel pink with flower baskets hanging outside. Definitely it stood out compared to the rest of the buildings in sector three, but it was a place she was proud of, having worked tirelessly to attain the small building to hopefully one day sell her own flowers here.
“Here we are,” unlocking the door to allow her companion inside. “Hello~?” No answer. “Looks like Cloud isn’t here,” as he too had a set of keys to the place. Inside the shop was a little barren as it was still a work in progress but beyond the backdoor was a garden filled to the brim with flora. “All right lets have a look at that injury then,” hands on hips as she leans forward a little towards the other, “is it just your side?”
“Bad timin’ seems like the understatement of the year, miss.” Brows creased. There was no denying that being held captive against their will by people who saw them having as much worth as rats was ideal matter. Even then, he would have preferred how settled the city was when he had arrived at a time. Even if such calmness was fleeting or short lived in such a foreboding an eerie place of the concrete city. His eyes glanced around at his surroundings. The pink door itself was much of a breath of fresh air the sights seeing as everything surrounding it was rather uncared for if not run down.
When brought inside, a quick glance around led him to imagine what this place would eventually look like given enough time. If there was enough tender love and care as much was put into the door. He could see this shine like a beacon in the most thickest of fogs. “As far I know, yeah. Seems I have a real knack for people tryin’ to strike me there.” That being side. To make her work easier, he released his hand where he was just grasping the open wound from the right side of his body. Quite the lasting gift from his most favorite of ‘fans’ with a short bladed knife. It was clear that the aggression and hostility would only escalate since the NPC’s were willing to test their mettle with weapons.
