âIndeed! Where Iâm from, you can tell a dragonâs strength based on the color of their scales. The Chroma Conclave had a black, blue, green, white, and a red dragon. The red dragon was its leader, a gargantuan beast by the name of Thordak, the Cinder King. Iâd say he was about the size of a castle.â He said with a light shrug of his shoulders. Though as the other spoke of his own experience with groups of people, Vax blinked slowly. What did he meanâŠan âepisodeâ? Was it simply something akin to having an episode? Had he thought he was a pirate for some time? He wanted to askâŠbut he tipped his head slowly.
âDonât you have any friends, Gal? People who can help take care of you? Doesnât it get lonely traveling by yourselfâŠ?â He couldnât imagine traveling by himself. Even before Vox Machina heâd at least had his sister andâŠhe wouldnât have wanted to go anywhere without her. And after his family had formed? WellâŠhe didnât want to part from any of them either. They argued sometimes and threw insults at one another butâŠthatâs what a family did, wasnât it?
However, something he didnât expectâŠwas for Galavant to suddenly break into song. Vaxâs eyes widened slightly with surprise at firstâŠand then a grin split across his lips. He truly did feel as though Galavant was similar to Scanlan. No one could replace Scanlan, of course, but this one was a character of sorts. And he felt as though heâd fit right in with his group.
âImpressive, really. I only wish that the rest of my friends were here. Iâve a feeling theyâd take a shine to you, Gal. And you, them.â
Now dialogue have turned into song. On any other day such a use of vocal talent would cost the studio a tidy sum of cash. But there is not studio, No ABC. No fat cats to stop him from even going here a non glee musical could go.Â
Copy-righted music. Â Maybe not now.
â« A spin-off, a revamp
Something new for the champ
A man who felt so lonely
Going where he may boldly
You Vax, when I was a child
My father was a knight, nâer gentle or mild
He told me as a warrior I must be strong and true
But never let my feelings out or through
Wear it on your sleeve, youâll get along great
A single adventurer, no friends to stop you at the gateÂ
However I know, that the journey taste better
When I have somebody with me to lend me a sweater
A supporting cast, thatâs way fun
In the end I get way more sum   ⫠Â
He sang as a man behind him joined in with a piano. His own foot on a table as he spun his tale. Of how Galavant was in fact a lonely man of thirty something. But story of others, teaming up for adventure sounded like something he never knew he craved. Until now. Has his heart softened or what but this sounded too good.Â
â« So off we go to steal some steel
Maybe catch it on a reel
Two of together, maybe more
Fly through the night to find a Dragon soar-
-ing near us so we may again
Find virtue, ladies, and to attain
Our name written in song and words
On those carriges that look like metal birds  â«
