why'd you come, you knew you should have stayed. i tried to warn you just to stay away and now they're outside ready to bust. it looks like you might be one of us  Gabriel Thomas || 23 || senior
Zach chuckled at that and nodded as he handed back the book. “I know what it is,” he replied and shrugged his shoulders lightly. “I was just tryna read the title, bro.”Â
“I’m not your bro,” he glared at the other. What was his name even? “Yeah, it’s for my thesis,” he shrugged his shoulders before showing him the cover of the book: Women, Fire, and Other Dangerous Things by Lakoff.
“I did actually, you gonna own up?” he asked, a single eyebrow raising. “you could totally make sugar free cookies for the pta, and have mimosas at sunday brunch.” he nodded, humming a jaunty sitcom toon. “spending fifty dollars on a bottle of booze is stupid even if you’re filthy rich.”
“When my kids are at school and my filthy rich, old husband is at work, I have all the time in the world for a pilates class and fucking the pool boy. Fuck dude, I totally am going to be a middle-aged mum,” he laughed. “Whatever you say, boo. So, you’re going to get drunk, or what?”
It was sort of strange that they were friendly, given how they tended to clash and burn when there weren’t substances interfering. But Drew wasn’t about to waste any sort of time wondering about their relationship - even drunk there were better things to do. “Rather be a peasant than middle-aged mom who can’t pick which fancy wine to serve,” he retorted. “Besides, there’s nothing wrong with being poor, please join us in this century.”
“Oh, did you just compare me to a middle-aged mum?” his brows shot up in surprise but he couldn’t help but laugh a little at it. “Yeah, I see it. If I did my hair a bit to the left, I could blend in,” he joked with an eye roll and took the last drag of his cigarette. “There is nothing wrong with being poor but see, even poor people can have a TASTE.”
“Hey, wait!” Zach called out, leaning down to pick up what the other had dropped and moving to catch up to them. “You dropped your uh… Thing,” he said as he looked down at what he’d picked up then back up at the other with a smile.Â
Gabriel turned around when he heard someone calling out for him. “It’s a book, did you forget what is it?” he asked, whilst taking the book he dropped from Zach’s hands.
“Sorry to disappoint, Thomas. I’ll try harder next time,” he told Gabriel and winked up at him playfully before pushing himself up off of the ground. He rolled his eyes at that and let out a sarcastic laugh. “Ha-ha, very funny, Gabe. No, I was not trying to do that.”Â
“Yeah, could you do a backflip next time? And maybe land with a split? That would be a real highlight,” Gabriel let out a small chuckle and moved a bit. if Axl had the strength to talk, he also had the strength to get up on his own. “Somehow I don’t believe you, you reek of desperation.”
“I do which is the problem. I have a lot to do but my phone keeps blowing up with these morons asking me to do their work for them.” At that moment her phone started vibrating again in her bag but she was done. They could struggle on their own…or she’d answer them later because this was her grade too after all. “Group projects are the fucking dumbest things ever invented.” She finally decided to look over at who was talking to him and she was taken aback with how casually he was lounging around. No care in the world.
“Order them to pay you for your work,” he simply stated, not looking up from his phone, as if it was the most obvious solution in the world. Since he was a tiny boy, Gabriel has learned that money is what controls the world and people. “Group projects are shit,” he agreed with the blonde and looked at her. “But you need to stop taking it so bloody seriously. By the way, do you think that a guy writing in his bio that he’s skilled with his magic wand is either a wizard or is he just pretending his dick game is strong?” he blurted out, pointing at the screen of his phone.Â
“The waves are shit today so I wouldn’t waste my time.” The boy had actually gotten into surfing a few years before, having never really gone to the beach until he moved here. Moving to lay down, he padded in heading for the sand.Â
“Do I look like a bloody surfer?” Gabriel scoffed, barely even looking at the person talking to him. He was in a weird, in-between state -- he wasn’t drunk but he wasn’t hungover yet and this was an absolute torture. However, the sound of the actual ocean waves, not the shitty ones on Spotify, had always a nice, calming effect on Gabriel, immediately relieving his pain.
“There was another party going on down the rude, dude,” he explained with a grin still spread on his face. It had ended unfortunately, but party hopping was just another part of life to Drew. “It’s not that bad man, you just have to get drunk enough. And then it all tastes the same.”
“Whatever,” he shrugged his shoulders. it’s not like he missed Drew or couldn’t handle not being with him for longer than an hour. In fact, they didn’t even like each other when they were sober; only after alcohol, the guards were down. “See and this is where you are wrong. But you wouldn’t understand that, you have the palate of a PEASANT,” he scoffed.
Skylark wasn’t necessarily paying attention to his assignments, but he knew he had to start his charcoal sketch assignment today or else he’d never get it done. He walked around campus, trying to figure out what he should draw. Abruptly, he got a sudden bout of courage and gave a sheepish grin as he tapped someone’s shoulder. “Uh, hi, listen, you may be busy but I figured I’ll take a chance and ask anyways. Um, can I draw you? For an assignment?” he asked softly, even holding up his sketchbook and supplies as if it’d make his claim.
Gabriel must have been an IDIOT if he thought that he was going to get some peace and quiet on campus. He should have stayed at his apartment. He was sitting at the table outside, book in one hand, a cigarette in the other and a Starbucks cup of coffee on the table. He was actually doing some reading for his classes, something he didn’t do very often because there were always better things to do than school work. His body stiffened immediately when he felt the light tap on his shoulder, his resting bitch face turning even bitchier. “Excuse me?” he furrowed his brows at the kid’s request. Fuckin’ Art majors.Â
Axl was rushing as he made his way through the crowds. It wasn’t as though he had anyone or anything waiting on him, the boy was just hungry and wanted to get to something to eat asap. He wanted nothing more than to throw his backpack aside and collapse onto the closest horizontal surface with his face buried in a plate of food. In his rush the boy stumbled over his own feet and fell flat on his face. He groaned and rolled over onto his back as someone stepped up beside him, squinting up at them. “I’m fine, really. I’m totally not hurt, the ground just looked a little lonely…” he said, smiling up at the other sheepishly.Â
"You’ve had more spectacular falls, this one was quite BORING, Veliqi,” Gabriel was standing above Axl, rolling his eyes at him. “Ah, the floor was lonely, eh? Did it want you to fuck it?”
“Yo, it’s dat boi!” Drew yelled as he walked into the party. “Let’s get drinking,” he screamed, lifting his bottle of vodka to the sky. “Shots! Shots! Shots!”
“You’re already at least few shots behind, boy,” Gabriel rose his brow and tilted his head to the side and pulled a pack of cigarettes out of the pocket of his jeans. “At least you brought more alcohol, I can’t deal with that cheap piss anymore,” he pointed at the empty bottles on the table nearby whilst lighting up the cig and exhaling the smoke directly at the other’s face.
Fritz wasn’t even geared up in her lab equipment, and it was probably not a school accepted experiment she was performing, however was happening anyways. Her glasses were set crooked on her face and an energy drink at her side while a half alive rabbit laid on the sterile table with it’s head cut open with precision to have access to its brain. “Maybe if I mess with only a part of the motor cortex it won’t-” She felt the presence of someone intruding her space, and the idea of them gawking while she worked made her uneasy to the point where she had to acknowledge them for it to go away. “Do you need something? A professor, some tools, maybe a lobotomy? What’s up?”
Gabriel stumbled into the lab, drunk, half-naked and with a giant grin on his face. “I just need a piss and here’s the nearest place?” he blurted out, looking around curiously. Being a Humanities major, he never went down to the labs -- there was something creepy about this place, something that made him want to turn back the clock and study harder to choose one of the biology-related majors and have the time to explore the place. “What you doin’ in here?” he walked up to the lab table and looked at the poor rabbit, lightly poking it in the tummy, because what are the safety rules and responsibility?
“Oh, was this yours?” Dyre asked, having crawled out of his room for a midday snack. He had only woken up roughly 15 minutes before and had taken out the first thing he had seen.Â
“No, no, go ahead. I saw some freegan take it straight outta trash and leave it for later,” Gabriel only shrugged his shoulders. If that was his food, he wouldn’t have been this nice and forgiving. “You look as if you haven’t eaten in a month... Jesus, learn to chew your food, okay?”
“How are people already behind in class? The year literally just started.” Sophia rolled her eyes as students rushed past her to the library, staring down at her phone and wishing she hadn’t given her group project teammates her number. Seriously how did they already need help? “I already need a drink..”
“Why do you even care? Don’t you have anything better to do?” Gabriel didn’t look interested in the conversation at all, too busy swiping left and right on Tinder, his feet up on the table and his bag thrown into the corner, along with the assignments that needed to be done over the summer break. But since she started, replying was the polite thing to do. Apparently.
do you do intro posts? no? i do, fite me. ANYWAY, i’m caro and i’m 22, i’m a lazy ass, constantly looking for a daddy and eating a lot of cake and peanut butter cookies. i like puppers and cats and all the fluffs and idk. enough about me, let’s talk about this trash son, i can’t wait to see what will i come up with bc i was too lazy to do it earlier :)  hmu for plots??
is that bill skarsgård? no, it’s just gabriel thomas, a senior student at lakeridge university who studies cognitive science and linguistics. they are twenty threeyears old, and identify as cismale. as with everyone else, they have secrets to keep. still, they are known to be confident, but also impetuous.
&. spoiled trust fund babyÂ
&. he’s the son of a influential politician and a news anchor
&. his parents never had a lot of time for their son, instead, they bought his love with money and toys and now he can’t get it into his head that there are things he can’t get, no matter how much he pouts and screams
&. everyone thinks that we’re perfect, please don’t let them look through the curtains -- gabriel’s parents are the perfect spouses and parents when the cameras are on, when nobody sees, they basically can’t stand each other but they need each other for PR reasons ;; they both have multiple affairs, which they cover up and they do a good job covering their tracks
&. almost a good job, because once gabriel was old enough to understand how does the world work, he immediately put the puzzles together. knowing that these affairs cannot see the daylight, he used this information to get even more advantage over his parents.
&. he’s not stupid, he wouldn’t actually tell the press anything because broken reputation = no $$$Â
&. aside from being a manipulative arsehole, he is also very, very hot-tempered and always ready to fight, even over someone eating his last cookie (same, Gabe)
&. drinks a lot, smokes like a dragon, occasionally does drugs ( mostly bc half of bill gifs are of him smoking)
&. won't say no to sex either
&. deep down inside he’s a giant nerd and a fluffball -- catch him reading harry potter for the 38th time or taking care of stray cats ( ps. he will make sure u don’t tell anyone )
&. he’s never been the one to excel academically, he’s very intelligent but he’s also, very, very lazy.
&. he’s studying cognitive science and linguistics bc i study linguistics and won’t have a job after that so he won’t have a good paying job either.
&. much to his father’s dismay, who’d love if he studied like law or something more ambitious
&. i bet there’s more i could write but i’m too lazy tbh
&. i’ll do his wanted connections page in a bit
