My family started a charity to help black youths get scholarships!

Hello, I know this blog is mostly fandom stuff, but I actually wanted to talk a little about something going on in my real life. After the passing of my grandfather, my family got together to create a Foundation to help other people. My grandpa was a man who really prided himself on helping others in need, and would always be there to help those in his community.

Now that he's gone, we'd like to continue this legacy of helping other people. So, my family has created a charity to do just that! We are currently setting up a fundraiser for our very first scholarship, and have a lot of big plans already being crafted to get resources to more black youths in america!

Tumblr Staff, after making a half hearted apology for mass banning trans women, has just today mass banned trans women a second time

I don't have exact numbers yet, but at least twenty users were terminated at the same exact time, recieving an "internally generated report" refusing to declare reason for the ban. I quote, "Upon review of your account we have determined that it does not align with our terms of service". No reason given, this was clearly a deliberate action by staff as they themselves claim

Tumblr staff is currently mass banning trans women again. Make them know this is unnaceptable

I wish I felt stronger emotions about the waves of termination of trans women over and over, as facilitated by hateful smear campaigns and dogpiling because it just. Keeps. Happening. I have old no illusions about the atitudes this website has towards its most vulnerable populations because they've shown their ass literally every year since this website's been in fucking operation.

The fucking gall of it is that it's always the girls who take up the mantle of educating and encouraging other trans women to free themselves fr.

Quite literally, without fail this website will punish trans women for being outspoken (whether it's about discussing transmisogyny, cracking eggs, or demystifying bottom surgery), a clamour and protest will be raised to varying effects depending on if the TMEs care to. Well care. Period. And in some small, nearly insignificant way Tumblr will acquiesce. Only to let perhaps 2 weeks pass before they go back to the same old shit.

And honestly, to see the manufactured consent for this applied retroactively in real time feels very much like how it felt when I was a teenager, seeing black blogs get terminated during the BLM movement and particularly the Ferguson riots with the flimsy justification that they're fucking Russian bots influencing US elections. The laser-focused scrutinization of trans women's paraphillias is wielded like a cudgel in a much more deliberately insidious way.

estrogesis (idk how to spell her url), yay-bunnies, predstrogen, thicced-witch, miiyoria and literally countless others were bloggers and mutuals I had the pleasure to interact with before they got fucking terminated. All of them are punished for being authentic and unabashedly themselves.

I don't have a point to this post. Fuck this website. Reinstate all of the blogs of trans women you've terminated in prejudice.
