The GADALA Specialized Centre of Teaching Oriental Belly Dance in Athens Greece was founded in March 2005 in order to promote middle-eastern dance and the rich Egyptian culture. It is the only specialized center teaching oriental dance that for the first time in Greece, gives you the opportunity to obtain a recognized Amateur or Professional qualification with the validity and reliability of the Middle – Eastern World Dance Organization M.E.D.W.OR. (Middle Eastern Dance World Organization for Distinguishing the Cultural Heritage and Folk Art of Egypt and Countries of the Middle East). Its founder is the greek - egyptian Choreographer – Dance Teacher – Art Director, Gadala Fotini, examiner and editor of the internationally recognized by the Middle Eastern Dance World Organization (MEDWOR.) technique of oriental belly dancing for professional and amateur examinations. Our aim and objective is to promote the rich Egyptian tradition and popular art and the valid, essential, qualitative and comprehensive learning and teaching the structure of oriental dance. Our main vision is the correct perception and in-depth understanding of the misunderstood oriental dance, avoiding controlling speculation and historical inaccuracies that have nothing to do with the rich Arab culture, tradition and folk art. The origin, the experience as a teacher, the rich methodical teaching of the founder of the GADALA Specialized Centre of Teaching Oriental Belly Dance in Athens Greece Ms. Gadala Fotini, after years of research and successful activities in the education sector and technical teaching of oriental dance and the success rate of students, make the GADALA Specialized Centre of Teaching Oriental Belly Dance in Athens the most competent and specialized professional teaching faculty of oriental dance in Greece.
