Hermetic Lots

The Hermetic Lots are the mathematical points which are calculated with the Ascendant and two other astrological points in natal chart. They are used in Hellenistic astrology in order to assign additional topics of the visible planets. There are seven Hermetic Lots, just like seven visible planets we use in Hellenistic astrology. Similar with the planets, the rulers of Hermetic Lots are very important and are something that you should check out.

Here are seven Hermetic Lots!

☽ Lot of Fortune

Also known as the Lot of the Moon

How to calculate it:

Day chart: LoF = ASC + Sun - Moon

Night chart: LoF = ASC + Moon - Sun

This is probably the most known Lot in astrology. Many ancient astrologers, such as Vettius Valens mentioned that the Lot of Fortune acts like the second or the alternative Ascendant. The Lot of Fortune represents the additional points of the planet Moon, such as body, livelihood and the fortune as the synonym of the circumstance of your life you don't have much control over.

☉ Lot of Spirit

Also known as the Lot of the Sun

How to calculate it:

Day chart: LoS = ASC + Moon - Sun

Night chart: LoS = ASC + Sun - Moon

The Lot of Spirit signifies the additional points of the planet Sun, such as intelligence, power, faith, beliefs and thoughts. It describes what your soul is being drawn towards. It is also known as the Lot of Hidden.

♀ Lot of Eros

Also known as the Lot of Venus

How to calculate it:

Day chart: LoE = ASC + LoS - Venus

Night chart: LoE = ASC + Venus - LoS

The Lot of Eros represents the additional points of the planet Venus, such as love, pleasure, sex and your desires. It describes the type of person you are going to sleep or have a sex with.

Also known as the Lot of Jupiter

The Lot of Victory signifies the additional points of the planets Jupiter, such as blessings, hopes, dreams, your honors and achievements. It shows the area where you're going to "win" or get the blessings.

Alright, here are the things that we look at for sex (freaky astrology as you said)!

We look at Venus, because it is a planet that basically represents sex. It can tell which type of people we attract.

But if you want something more concrete, we can look at the Lot of Eros, like you already mentioned. It is also called the Lot of Venus. It's a specific point which we get from calculating Venus with the Lot of Spirit. The Lot of Eros represents our desires and which type of people we are going to have sex with. Here's how to calculate the Lot of Eros:

LoE = ASC + Venus - Spirit (day chart)

LoE = ASC + Spirit - Venus (night chart)

If you don't want to calculate it mathematically, you can calculate it online at the Astro-Seek website.

And lastly, we also look at the 5th house for sex. The 5th house is the house of Venus, since Venus rejoices in that house. This is why the 5th house represents sex and pleasure. Do you notice a pattern? Venus is that planet which represents everything about sex.

To conclude, we look at Venus, Lot of Eros and the 5th house to see something about a person's sexual desires. Look at their placements and their rulers to see something about your sexual desires.

Why I Don't Use The Outer Planets

This is the topic I have always wanted to make a specific post about. Many people ask me about the outer planets when I make observations about planets, since I never include outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto). I wanna make a post about why I don't use them in practice.

I don't use the outer planets because they are unnecessary in my practice. I practice traditional astrology (Hellenistic astrology if you will), where there are only seven visible planets: Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. That doesn't make traditional astrology limited, stagnant or unprogressive. Keep in mind that astrology is mostly about pattern recognition and predicting the future events, not just about who you are and what you are here to do. Your birth chart should reflect your overall life and your ups and downs in life, not to give you fairytales on how to live your best life.

We all know that the Sun is the center of the solar system. The planets revolve around the Sun. The Sun is a light giver, meaning that it gives light to other planets in the sky. The Moon is the fastest moving planet, while Saturn is the slowest moving planet in astrology. The Moon takes 2-3 days to change a sign, while Saturn takes 2-3 years to change a sign. But the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) are slower than Saturn, which is already a distant planet. The outer planets are too far away from the Sun, therefore they don't have much of an influence in our lives.

Another reason why I don't use the outer planets is because the meaning of the outer planets are taken from the seven visible planets. Let me show you some examples!

Uranus

Uranus is mostly considered the co-ruler of Aquarius or even the ruler of Aquarius on its own in modern astrology. Uranus is mostly described as a planet of revolution, change, unpredictability and rebellion and is often called the higher octave of Mercury. That doesn't make much sense because Mercury already represents sudden changes of fate and unpredictability. Mercury is not only about communication, guys. You can use Mercury to see which area of your life seems contradictive and changing. Mars already represents revolution and rebellion in astrology. Why would we use Uranus for things which are already represented by Mercury or Mars?

Neptune

Neptune is always considered the co-ruler of Pisces or even the ruler of Pisces on its own in modern astrology. It is always described as the planet of illusions, dreams, ideals, art, music or eternity and it's often called the higher octave of Venus. The Moon already represents illusions and dreams. Have you ever realized how many artists and songwriters write about the Moon? That is because the Moon makes us feel dreamy, imaginative and melancholic. Jupiter already represents the ideals because Jupiter is the legitimate ruler of Pisces. Venus already represents art and music, since it's a planet of pleasure and it's also the exaltation ruler of Pisces. Why would we use Neptune for things which are represented by the Moon, Jupiter and Venus?

Pluto

Pluto is always considered the co-ruler of Scorpio or even the ruler of Scorpio on its own in modern astrology. It is described as the planet of transformation, death, rebirth, destruction, power and darkness and it's often called the higher octave of Mars. The Sun already represents transformation, death, rebirth and power. Whenever a planet (except the Moon) gets too close to the Sun, the planet eventually dies, get burned and then get reborn after that. Speaking of power, the Sun represents kings and presidents of a country. It represents those who are famous, noticeable and respected. Saturn already represents death and darkness, since Saturn is so far away from the Sun. Mars already represents destruction. Why would we use Pluto for things which are represented by the Sun, Saturn and Mars?

Planets in the 2nd house: Money and Possessions

Did you know that the 2nd house can tell how much money you are going to make in this lifetime? The 2nd house can also tell what job you are going to do to earn your income. That is because the 2nd house represents our livelihood, the things we need in order to survive, such as money, food or clothes, but there's a strong emphasis on money here. The 2nd house is a succedent house, which means that is next in line or follows the 1st house. That's why the 2nd house strictly represents your money.

In traditional astrology, the 2nd house is called the Gate of Hades, which makes the 2nd house as one of the darkest houses in astrology. You may have heard many times that money is the root of all evil, right? When people have too much money, they lose themselves and become greedier. All of the wealth, money and jewelry are hidden beneath the surface.

Main Significances of the 2nd House:

livelihood, money, income, possessions, finances, job you do to earn money

Here what each planet in the 2nd house tells about your own money! If you don't have any planet in the 2nd house, then look at the planet that rules your 2nd house.

Moon in the 2nd house

If you have the Moon in the 2nd house, then your money is going to fluctuate in your life. That is because the Moon is the fastest moving planet in astrology and represents life cycles. Sometimes you have money and sometimes you don't. The Moon also represents climax and has eight different phases. With that being said, your money may come into your life, reach its peak, downturn and then fade away. This placement can indicate instability in your finances.

Mercury in the 2nd house

If you have Mercury in the 2nd house, then you may experience a complete 180° when it comes to your money. That is because Mercury is a cosmic contradiction representing chaos and friction. This can indicate changes in your finances, since Mercury is a fast moving planet, representing sudden changes of fate. Mercury also represents transactions, buying and selling things. This means that money is going to come into your life quickly and also leave your life quickly because of you buying and selling things.

Venus in the 2nd house

If you have Venus in the 2nd house, then you may be lucky in terms of money and finances. That is because Venus is a benefic, a planet of good fortune and harmony, representing the area of your life which goes in your favor. Venus comes after Mercury in Chaldean order. This means that after some friction, there is going to be peace when it comes to your money. You may have some privileges in terms of money as well. You may own things that some people cannot afford.

Sun in the 2nd house

If you have the Sun in the 2nd house, then money may be the central theme of your life. That is because the Sun is the center of the Universe, giving light to the other planets. The Sun is also the most stable planet, meaning that you are going to have a lot of money at some point in your life. Financial prosperity is also possible with this placement. One of the ways that this can manifest is having a stable job and a solid income.

Mars in the 2nd house

If you have Mars in the 2nd house, then you may face some financial hardships. That is because Mars is a malefic, a planet of bad fortune and disruption. You may lose your money disruptively and suddenly. But the positive thing is that Mars moves slower than the Sun, which means that those financial losses are going to happen rarely. Mars is a planet of sacrifice and taking risks, which can indicate that you may sacrifice yourself in order to earn an income.

Jupiter in the 2nd house

If you have Jupiter in the 2nd house, then you may be blessed financially. That is because Jupiter is a greater benefic, representing blessings and forgiveness. You may get financial prosperity after being forgiven for something. It can also indicate receiving money by your allies and not returning them anything in return, since Jupiter is about unconditional love. Jupiter is also a slow moving planet, meaning that money is going to come to you slowly, but you may have a stable income.

Saturn in the 2nd house

If you have Saturn in the 2nd house, then you may experience extreme situations with money. That is because Saturn represents extremes and oppositions. Maybe you have an extreme amount of wealth or you come from extreme poverty. Saturn is also about lineage, meaning that you may either experience generational wealth or generational poverty. Saturn is a greater malefic, which means that you may have financial struggles, unless there are some mitigating factors. Saturn is also the slowest moving planet in astrology, which may indicate stability over your finances.

Remember that this is just a baseline. We need to look at your birth chart to see something concretely about your finances. Dignity, sect and angularity are important to see the overall condition of a planet.

Planets in the 1st house: Your Personality

Welcome to the new series of my astrology blog called Planets in Houses, where I'm going to interpret different planets in specific house. I hope you're going to enjoy this series. This series will be based only for tropical astrology and the whole sign system for houses.

Did you know that the 1st house is the most strongest and important house in astrology? It is the strongest house because it's an angular house which is placed on the Eastern horizon, where earth meets the sky. The 1st house is also called the Ascendant, a place where the sky is rising. This is why the Ascendant sign is also called the Rising sign. It is also the most important house because it basically represents you and your life.

Main Significances of the 1st House:

body, personality, self, life direction, how you behave, your tendencies, individuality etc.

Keep in mind that Mercury rejoices in the 1st house. Since Mercury represents duality and chaos (combination of a spirit and a body) and the 1st house represents life, there's no wonder why life is often about duality. Also, Mercury is an independent planet, it doesn't belong to any sect (it's neither diurnal nor nocturnal), while the 1st house represents independence. That's why Mercury finds its joy in this house.

Anyways, here is the interpretation of all planets in the 1st house! If you don't have any planets in the 1st house, then look at the planet that rules your 1st house.

Here are the planetary rulership:

Moon in the 1st house

If you have the Moon in the 1st house (or Cancer Rising), then you're probably expressive, outgoing, social and even naive. The Moon is a luminary which gives light and exposes the secrets. This can make you someone who is talkative and who shares secrets easily. The Moon represents changes and fluctuations, since it has eight different phases. Because of that, your personality may fluctuate or change a lot, depending on your environment. Your life direction may also fluctuate or change a lot, meaning that you may travel a lot in your life.

Mercury in the 1st house

If you have Mercury in the 1st house (or Gemini/Virgo Rising), then you're probably knowledgeable, smart, curious, tricky, funky and adaptable. Mercury is a cosmic trickster and it's the most common planet to be retrograde. By saying that, you may follow a certain path of life or have specific features, such as dark hair, only to switch your life direction or change your specific feature. You may tend to learn something new and look up for the truth. You may be a good writer or speaker.

Venus in the 1st house

If you have Venus in the 1st house (or Taurus/Libra Rising), then you're attractive, social, loving, artistic, hedonistic and acceptable. Venus is a benefic which increases the quality of our lives and represents beauty and good fortune. You may tend to be the beauty standard of your environment. You may be able to have find peace and harmony in life and tend to accept things as they are. You may also be into any type of art, such as music, painting, film etc. You are very comfortable to be around people who may be prone to you. You tend to see the world in a pink-colored glasses and are likely prone to hedonism and having fun.

Sun in the 1st house

If you have the Sun in the 1st house (or Leo Rising), then you're probably intelligent, logical, respectable, expressive and generous. The Sun is a luminary as well, meaning that it gives light to all other planets. You just radiate light and warmness. You tend to entertain other people and to keep some beautiful memories alive, even if those memories happened many times ago. The Sun also has a tendency to hide some things and because of that, you tend to hide your real feelings. You may not show your sadness or depression because you have other people in your life who rely on you.

Mars in the 1st house

If you have Mars in the 1st house (or Aries/Scorpio Rising), then you're probably courageous, defensive, thick-skinned, malicious, unapologetic and competitive. Mars is a malefic which decreases the quality of our lives and represents war and bad fortune. Life is like a battlefield for you. You may tend to sacrifice to get what you want in life. You are a risk taker who tends to do something that is seen as dangerous and risky. Mars is about separation. With that being said, you are able to separate people or things in life you don't really need in life and to keep other people or things that make your life better.

Jupiter in the 1st house

If you have Jupiter in the 1st house (or Sagittarius/Pisces Rising), then you're probably moral, spiritual or religious, friendly, social and devoted. Jupiter is a greater benefic which represents things in our life that go to our favor. You may tend to have a strong moral compass and to preach to others what is the right way to do, live and act. You have an ability to bring all the people with the same beliefs together. You may have a very social life and many friends in life.

Saturn in the 1st house

If you have Saturn in the 1st house (or Capricorn/Aquarius Rising), then you're probably reversed, introverted, revengeful, imaginative and melancholic. Saturn is a greater malefic which represents things that make our life more challenging. You may tend to hide secrets and keep things to yourself. Your are an outsider in your environment and tend to do many things alone. You may live in a small farm, isolated from everyone, since Saturn is about farmers and isolation.

Okay!

Having Saturn in Gemini tells me that you were born in 2000 or between 2001 and 2003. So, it's still a little bit too early for you to think about Saturn Return, since we all go through Saturn Return either at the age of 29 or at the age of 30.

The 3rd house mostly represents your siblings. If you don't have them, then this house represents your best friends you are so closed with that you call them brother or sister. The 3rd house also represents travel and spirituality in a sense of how you practice your beliefs everyday.

By saying that, Saturn is influencing the life of your siblings (if you have any), the life of your best friends (if you have any), something about travel or spirituality. When you go through your Saturn Return, your natal Saturn placement is going to get activated and you're going to experience some events which Saturn shows in your chart. That thing is going to get activated, whatever your natal Saturn symbolizes in your chart.

With your Saturn in your 3rd house, your Saturn likely symbolizes separation from siblings or your best friends, since Saturn represents hardships and endings. It can also indicate traveling or relocating from one place to another and staying in that new place for years, since Saturn represents longevity. It can also indicate starting an indigenous spiritual practice, since Saturn represents tradition and lineage, while the 3rd house represents spirituality and the way you practice your beliefs.

That's basically it! This is just a general interpretation of your natal Saturn placement, because I don't have much context about other factors from your natal chart. Anyways, I hope it's understandable. See you and take care!

Pisces

Disclaimer: This post is based only on tropical astrology.

You know when people say that Pisces is ruled by Neptune? This is why people associate Pisces with imagination, spirituality, creativity and artistry. But in traditional astrology, we do things in a little bit different way. Let me explain!

Originally, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is already a spiritual planet. Why would we use Neptune as a domicile ruler of Pisces for the same reasons? Also, Jupiter is a cosmic opposite of Mercury. Mercury rules both Gemini and Virgo. Gemini and Sagittarius are the opposite signs. We know that Gemini is ruled by Mercury and Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, right? Also, Virgo and Pisces are the opposite signs as well. We all know that Virgo is ruled by Mercury too. So, wouldn't it make more sense that Pisces, which is opposite of Virgo, is also ruled by Jupiter like Sagittarius is?

Jupiter represents law and order. Not just governmental laws, but also spiritual laws, such as law of attraction. By saying that, it's very contradictory to say that Pisces people have no boundaries. It's a huge stereotype. Since Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, this sign definitely has some standards.

Many people will say that Pisces is a spiritual sign because of the 12th house. First of all, Pisces has nothing to do with the 12th house. Second of all, the 12th house is not a spiritual house at all. If you want to see the characteristics of any zodiac sign, you need to look at the planet which rules that sign. And that is Jupiter for Pisces. Maybe Pisces is a spiritual sign, but the 12th house is not a spiritual house at all. This is why I made a 'Pisces vs. 12th house' post months ago.

Pisces is also known for its creativity and many people with Pisces placements (Ascendant or Moon in that sign) are artistic, but not because of Neptune. Did you know that Venus is exalted in Pisces and that Venus is the exaltation ruler of Pisces? That's why Pisces is so creative and artistic. People like to claim that Pisces is artistic and that Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, whatever that means. But Venus already represents art, pleasure, creativity and harmony. Why should we use Neptune instead, when Venus is already saying everything about art, music and creativity? Pisces is also a feminine water sign, which is why this sign is able to bring things into fruition. For example, Pisces natives might be more talented in drawing than Aquarius, a masculine air sign.

Another stereotype about Pisces is that Pisces is a lonely sign which is meant to be alone. I don't know if people say this because they use Neptune as a ruler of Pisces or because they think that Pisces is like the 12th house. Pisces is actually ruled by both benefics, Jupiter and Venus. These are both social planets which bring unity, harmony, collective organizing and acceptance into our world. So, how can someone say that Pisces is a loner when it's being ruled by two social planets? This 'loner' narrative belongs more to Aquarius, which is ruled by Saturn, a planet of solitude and loneliness.

Since people use Neptune, an outer planet, as a ruler of Pisces, many of them describe Pisces as a second coming of Christ or some form of progressive and spiritual being, such as a lightworker or a starseed. Pisces is a mutable sign which moves forward and it represents a transition between winter and spring, preparing us for spring. Because of that, Pisces can be about redemption, light at the end of the tunnel and giving second chances. However, that doesn't make Pisces progressive and beyond others spiritually.

The point of this observation is that Neptune is not a legitimate ruler of Pisces. It's true that Pisces is an idealist, but that's because of Jupiter, the domicile ruler of Pisces. It's also true that Pisces is a creative and artistic sign, but that's because of Venus, the exaltation ruler of Pisces. People often claim that Pisces is a misunderstood, lonely and altruistic sign which is always alone, when it's basically a social sign ruled by two benefic planets (Jupiter and Venus).

I interpreted saturn as delays, obstacles, and going through the same tough stuff until you finally break free from cycle, thus teaching you an unshakeable lesson. Yes, Saturn does represent delays, obstacles and where challenges show up in your life. In whichever house your Saturn is placed in your chart, the themes of that house may be very challenging in your life. So, you're right on that.

However, saying that Saturn is about lesson can be misleading. Keep in mind that Saturn is a malefic, so even if Saturn shows a favorable outcome in your chart, this favorable outcome may come through some challenges or patience. The reason why you hear all the time that Saturn is about lesson is because of modern astrology, which started in 19th/20th century. Modern astrologers will tell you that you can prevent negative events from happening in your life by learning your karmic lesson, which is simply not the case.

There's nothing we can do to prevent our negative life events from happening. If Saturn shows some negative event, that negative event is still going to happen, no matter what you do and no matter how much mature you are as a person. If you want to be mature, then be mature. Saturn doesn't care whether if you're mature or not.

Saturn represents some kind of a person or some kind of an event that is going to happen in your life. This event can be positive or negative, depending on the condition of your natal Saturn. For example, do you have a day chart or a night chart? If you have a day chart, Saturn is then less harmful and more beneficial. Meanwhile, if you have a night chart, then Saturn is your most challenging planet in your chart. It's also important whether your Saturn is exalted in Libra, or fallen in Aries. Is Saturn domiciled in Capricorn/Aquarius, or detrimental in Cancer/Leo? Or is Saturn in its neutral sign like Pisces? Those are things you cannot control, but they impact Saturn's condition in your chart.

Astrology Misconceptions 2

I just realized that I haven't been posting anything here on Tumblr for a month. So, here I am! This post is going to be the second part of the astrology misconceptions. This post is based only on tropical astrology, like usual.

Myth: Evolved vs. unevolved signs thing. For example, evolved Leos have only good qualities of Leo, while unevolved Leos have only bad qualities of Leo.

Fact: I have never understood this statement. Like, what do you mean that there are an evolved Leo and unevolved Leo? Not that it's just a false statement, it doesn't make any sense at all. What I hate the most about it is that people describe evolved signs as spiritually aligned and people who have everything together, while unevolved signs are described as negative people who complain. The fact here is that every sign has both good and bad qualities at the same time.

Myth: Saturn represents karma and lessons you need to learn. All you need to do is to learn your lesson and Saturn will reward you.

Fact: No, it's not going to happen like that to all people. Yes, Saturn is about maturity, discipline and wisdom, but that's only half the story. Actually, Saturn is about extremes. It can represent both maturity and childishness, discipline and laziness, wisdom and ignorance, wealth and poverty etc. Saturn is never in the middle. It is definitely not about lessons you need to learn. If you want to talk this way, then every planet can be about lessons and karma. Every planet can teach you something. Saturn is actually a symbol which indicates an event that is going to happen in your life, whether you're a mature person or not. And this event is going to be positive or negative, depending on how Saturn is placed in your chart.

Myth: Astrocartography shows you where you should live in order to fulfill your life purpose.

Fact: I don't know any professional astrologer who uses astrocartography in practice. The idea is cool, but it doesn't really make sense. Like, if your life sucks in New York, your life is going to suck in Los Angeles too. If your love life sucks in Berlin, then your love life will still suck in Paris. That's your life pattern and it's going to follow you wherever you live, unfortunately. It's not about your mindset and where you live, it's about the conditions of planets in your chart. Domiciled and exalted planets give favorable outcomes, while detrimental and fallen planets give unfavorable outcomes. The karma of your birth chart doesn't fall away, whether you live in Dubai, London or Miami.

Myth: North Node is your life path you need to follow, while South Node is your past life you need to let go of. But at the same time, you need to balance the Nodes to get in your destiny.

Fact: I have already said about this, but I don't mind to repeat it. North Node is actually about the area which increases in your life, for better or for worse. It's about the area which is present too much in your life. On the other hand, South Node is about the area which decreases in your life. It's about the area which is present too little in your life. With that being said, you cannot just balance both North and South Node, because the Nodes are about disbalance in your life. They always form opposition aspect together, meaning that North and South Node are completely different from each other. You cannot balance two completely different things tho.

Believe it or not, every planet culminates in the 10th house, including luminaries, benefics and malefics. That is because the 10th house is the highest point in the chart, representing, power, status and career.

When it comes to the annual profections, I just found out a better way to interpret the annual profections. A Persian astrologer Abu Ma'shar used annual profections as a sign-based profections, not as the house-based profections. So, when you interpret profections, try to say that you're currently in Cancer profection year. The planets that are in this sign and the planet which rules this sign are going to be the prominent themes this year. The Sun topics and Saturn topics are a primary things that you're going to experience. The Moon topics as the ruler of Cancer is the secondary thing that you're going to experience, while the 10th house topics are the last thing that you're going to experience this year.

The reason why you experienced bad things with this profection year may be because you have Saturn in Cancer. Saturn is in its detriment in Cancer. When a planet is in detriment, it's dysfunctional and it doesn't function as it should. When Saturn is negatively placed, it indicates marginalization, discrimination and rejection. Take a look on what your Moon is doing in your chart too.

Pisces vs. 12th house

What is the difference between Pisces and the 12th house? Having planets in Pisces is not like having the 12th house placements and vice versa. Trust me, you would rather have a Pisces Rising than the 12th house placements. And here is why.

The thing is that the 12th house is not a water house at all, it is actually a cadent house. The cadent means that it's falling away from the angular house, the 1st house in this case. That is because houses go in a counterclockwise way in diurnal rotation. The 12th house used to be the 1st house, but it lost its strength and fell off. Since the 1st house is about self, personality and life force, the 12th house represents everything that goes against ourselves and our life force. That is because the 12th house is averse to the Ascendant. The 12th house is called 'bad spirit' because it represents everything that afflicts and negatively impacts our mind, such as isolation, depression, mental illnesses and discrimination.

The 12th house is not the house of Jupiter nor Neptune, it is actually the house of Saturn, since Saturn rejoices in that house. Saturn is a greater malefic which represents the outcasts, darkness and isolation, making the 12th house one of the most negative houses in astrology, if not the most negative one. It's the house of marginalized people who are exiled, discriminated against and forgotten from the community. The 12th house is also about losing your way in life, not knowing how to move forward and suffering. This house can also describe your enemies and how they show up in your life. It's not a spiritual house like people usually say.

Meanwhile, Pisces is so much different from this. Pisces is a mutable and water sign ruled by Jupiter. Mutable means that its season goes between winter and spring, representing transition in life and moving forward. Water is a cold and moist element, making Pisces slow (coldness) and reliant on the environment (moisture). Water is about bringing things together. Jupiter is a domicile ruler of Pisces, while Venus is the exaltation ruler of Pisces. Jupiter makes Pisces a forgiving sign which gives second chances, while Venus makes Pisces a creative, artistic and accepting sign.

When we put those things together, we get Pisces, a social sign which has some ideals, hopes and dreams. This sign believes that every person deserves a second chance in life, no matter how bad their past was. Pisces is not a sign that is meant to be alone. That is a huge stereotype. Pisces actually thrives in collective organizing and likes to work with people. Jupiter and Venus are both social planets, which says a lot. Mercury is the only planet that doesn't like Pisces, since it's in its detriment and in fall in that sign. That is because Mercury is more of a logical and rational planet, while Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, which is an idealistic and redemptive planet.

To conclude, the difference between them is that Pisces is a social sign which moves forward in life by accepting things as they are and giving second chances, while the 12th house is more about isolation, losses, enemies and struggling to move forward. It's very unfair to say that Pisces is the same as the 12th house.

So, as I previously said, there's a difference between the 10th house and Midheaven (MC). The 10th house is usually your profession, the work you do, the knowledge you contribute to the world, the skills and talents you have. Meanwhile, Midheaven is more about your reputation, what you're known for and what you're going to be remembered for. You can also look at your Midheaven as your another career option.

Since you have the 10th house in one sign and Midheaven in another sign, this can indicate that you may have more than one career, job or calling in your life. As your life changes, your job and career may also change. It can also mean that you may have one profession (10th house), but you may be known and remembered for the completely different things (Midheaven).

Aquarius vs. 11th house

It's very common to hear in astrology community that Aquarius and the 11th house are exactly the same. But objectively, that is not the case because those two energies are completely different from each other. Let me explain!

The thing is that the 11th house is not an air house at all, it is actually the succedent house. Succedent means that it is next in line to become the angular house, the 10th house in this case. That is because houses go in a counterclockwise way in diurnal rotation. With that being said, the 11th house represents friends, supporters, allies and basically everyone who supports you to get success (10th house). Astrologers have never believed in self-made success stories. They have always known that every successful person has many people behind the scenes who support them. And the 11th house perfectly reflects that.

The 11th house is not the house of Saturn and neither of Uranus. Actually, the 11th house is the house of Jupiter, since Jupiter rejoices in that house. Jupiter is a greater benefic symbolizing blessings, hopes and dreams, making the 11th house one of the most positive houses in astrology, if not the most positive house. The 11th house also represents hopes and dreams, because we have hopes and dreams when we want to succeed in anything. The 11th house shows how and when you are going to get prosperity in life as well.

For example, the Moon in the 11th house means that you may get prosperity earlier in life, while Saturn in the 11th house means that you may get prosperity later in life. Mars in the 11th house means that you may get prosperity after some challenges in life.

Aquarius is completely different from this. It's a fixed air sign ruled by Saturn. Fixed modality means that this sign is about continuing down the path that has already been established or something eternal and unchanging. Air element is hot and wet, which makes Aquarius fast. Saturn is about isolation, discrimination and ostracism.

When we put those things together, we get an isolated and self-sufficient sign which is devoted to its ideas and is unwilling to change them. That is Aquarius. Since Aquarius comes from darkness (Saturn), this sign doesn't really have much clue about how the world works, so it tries to make sense of something that doesn't make sense. It's like having revolutionary ideas which are not practical in reality. Aquarius is about ideas, but not about action to make these ideas possible.

Aquarius is not that social and humanitarian sign how people portray them. It's doesn't really have a tendency to work with people. Aquarius tends to address the needs of people who are marginalized, exiled and forgotten, but not the humanity as a whole. This is why the Sun is exiled and detrimental in Aquarius. It's a radical sign which is about extremes and opposition, but not this liberal and progressive like people think.

For a conclusion, the difference between Aquarius and the 11th house is that Aquarius is an isolated and radical sign which does things alone, while the 11th house is more about friends, supporters, allies and prosperity. Aquarius is not about friends because Aquarius is a loner.
