So I was wondering, with the art you make of the Castlevania angle/demon AU (which I absolutely love), could you explain what goes on in the AU? Like is there a story behind it or anything? I wanted to know because I really want to write a story based on it. (Fanfiction, of course)
hi there! there’s not much as i only really combined stereotypical angels and lucifer’s fall with the story of castlevania for funsies. in this AU, an angel’s body and wings reflects on their perception of themselves, so lisa’s and sypha‘s wings are both brilliantly white due to their high morals and self-love/respect. trevor has difficulties with his his status - his ancestors being powerful warriors of light - and his self-confidence, but he refuses to give in to hatred. alucard once again is the offspring of lisa and drac (who is our classy luciferan angel-turned-devil with bat wings, ashen skin and changed eyes) and feels the burden of being both light and dark. i can see him turning into a full blown angel or just owning both components, but he carries too much sadness and conflict within to see himself as the beautiful being he is. i hope he continues to let go of his burdens in season 3 and be proud of himself.
i actually had hector and isaac drawn out, too, but i scratched the pictures. hector still has his wings (they’re a dull greyish-purple) and isaac straight up ripped out all of his feathers so only the skeleton is visible. the only reason they didn’t turn into devils is because they didn’t step over a certain line that makes it even more difficult to come back. looking at the ending of season 2, isaac is coming very close, though.
i’m a firm believer of people being able to change and be forgiven if they are truly sorry, or at least deserve to get help if they want to try to be better. that’s why i love the idea of lisa going back to dracula over and over again to help that one part of his soul that cries out in loneliness and suffering. he, like every being, just wants to be loved, but earth isn’t as light and easy as the heavens so he has forgotten his true divine nature and let himself being corrupted instead.
