Who Are We? An Introduction.
Galactic Grimoire, admittedly, started as a tiny discord server to bring a group of friends with experiences in witchcraft and occultism closer together as people, in a server that we knew we could talk about the topics without judgement. It's grown since then- from a server for friends, to a server for acceptance, to a server that still yet reaches it's roots out and grows as people join.
We're still a server, of course. We've expanded from three Administrators to three Administrators and four moderators (which will expand). We went from three people to over a hundred! Welcoming with open arms those who are new to witchcraft, who are experimenting, who are learning.
What can you expect in the server?
We try to keep a protected space. To enter the server, you not only need the invite link, but you also have to go through an easy verification process. We have channels locked specifically for our minors as adult-free spaces, and channels locked specifically for our adults as minor-free spaces, that require age verification for access of.
Events
As a server, we try to be active! That means mods host a variety of events! We have weekly streams, where you can watch and interact as some of the mods get terrified at games like Phasmophobia, Lethal Company, and Escape the Backrooms. Other mods frequently stream art, and you're welcome to stream as well!
On top of streams, we host classes! Every two weeks for the general chat, we host a class on a variety of topics (topics change each time before cycling! So if you miss a class, don't worry! It'll come back around). As beginner witches, a lot of people get daunted at the idea of research. We want to help you start your research by giving you a solid foundation. Between the classes (both streamed and asynchronous ones) and our baby witch forums for any questions, we can help clear up any potential confusion or help explain concepts that might be confusing you!
Tumblr?
The tumblr is a bit of an experiment, a bit of a new thing to expand on. While we have a community now, with people who have been with us for an entire year now, we're still interested in expanding our bases. We're learning, we want to encourage learning, and we want to encourage community. With that in mind, we've set out to try our best to run a blog as well as the server.
