best part of tristamp is the clear evolution of wolfwood’s “ah this guy is cute at least babysitting shouldn’t be that much of a chore,” to “ah fuck, why does he get into so much trouble, why is it so hard to keep track of him,” to “vash quite literally no one deserves the depth of kindness that you are expending and causing yourself harm for, for the love of god please stop,” to finally, “i’ve fallen so hard for this stupid fucking guy that it’s actually biblical and i’ve decided to join the priesthood about it”

Possible TriMax 98 anime spoilers? But I think we all know...

All I need to have them round out Wolfwood’s character is have him (now that he is free) to show up and stand against Knives for Vash (with Vash) and die for Vash. The “I love him! I would kill for him. I would die for him” *perfection*! Because as much as I’d love for this to have a second season of Stampede (or another re-telling etc just more!) where Vash and Wolfwood meet up again like 10 years or something from now and basically have the ‘98 anime retold (plus Milly and Meryl of course), I can’t get my hopes up that we will see that. And I doubt they will let Wolfwood live (he never has before *cries*) soooooo he has to die for love (just like in the manga, you can’t convince me that Vash and Wolfwood were not in love thank you).

Edit: Saw the preview for next week's episode....Wolfwood...is still alive? I mean they wouldn't show but like...I swear if he just fucking leaves, I will be so pissed! Wolfwood cares more than that, or at least trusts Vash more than he did Knives right? (This is just a preview it won't show everything yes but....I will be really sad if he just up and f-in leaves)

I had a fun au based on something similar to this. But what if the plants since they are unable to survive on their own but also don’t want to bound forever in a pod gain the ability to fuse with humans? Making more superhuman types. Honestly it popped up because I like the idea of Wolfwood sacrificing himself to save Vash from Knives but don’t want him to stay dead XD So the plant that fuses with him brings him back to life. (bonus points if the plant saw how distraught Vash was in his grief since they communicate and can hear each other, felt bad, and that’s why it chose to fuse with Wolfwood. The first plant/human fusion! Knives would be like O.O)

Stampede Wolfwood: some weird bozos found me at my orphanage and claimed i passed their tests, so they turned me into their experiment. they didn't really try to hide what they were, which is why a kid i knew from back then was able to follow me. i know the eye of michael will keep using them as their test subjects if i don't do what they want, so what choice do I have?
