This may be a hot take and I may be just yelling into the void with this post but I feel like specifically the designs for Cy-kill and Leader-1 in The Challenge of the GoBots (despite how cheese they can look) are the best looking designs for the two.

I just fell like a lot of times when they are shown as their original comic/Japanese designs or the more recent 2019 designs that the designers just miss the point or there is no real interest in the way they look.

The TV show did a pretty good job at showing the difference between the two. Like how Cy-kill is short and wide while leader-1 is more thin and tall, or how Cy-kill is more pointy in the face while leader-1 is more rounded.

My favorite example of this has got to be with there mask like facial features, where they show the exact opposite traits of each other. Leader-1’s mask is round while Cy-kill’s is pointy. Along with the fact that the two’s masks are the exact inverse of each other’s colors.

I know that technically it’s still the same thing in the original designs, but the yellow pupils for Cy-kill with no markings around it and the yellow face mask thing for Leader-1 just doesn’t add the same kind of interest or contrast. You really have to look closely to notice that it’s was even a design choice to begin with.

Idk, just an interesting thought.

I know I haven't directly said anything to you yet, but I think your li'l guys are so cute and silly and adorable and I'd very much like to see more of them if possible ^v^

(Also Tomodachi Life in general has been taking over my brain lately so any crossover with existing interests is very welcome hgftgjhk)

You may! I hadn't played Tomodachi life for a hot second but it was nice to jump back into it.

Part of the reason I haven't posted the gobots anymore is because I had to re-draw them all for my main save and that was really annoying, but I got up and finished Small foot this morning!

Slowly getting the gang together. I'll probably do Turbo next since A.J. needs her bestie. Crasher and Leader-1 have been on the island for a while though, long enough to get up to some shenanigans.

My Island is like. 80% OCs lmao. But me and a friend have a running joke that Crasher's type is Bald, given she used to have a crush on Leader-1 in the show.
