i apologize for my absence, this last con i went to this past week was absolutely crazy ( i actually almost died ) and i’m starting to get back into the swing of just going to work and trying to start on new cosplay stuff. i got some great pictures and such but all that will be posted later. anyway, i just wanted to drop by and say i’m still here, just slowly getting the hang of things again so please bare with me.

LISTEN UP 

starting tomorrow at 6:30am i will be sort of inactve ( more so than i already am lmao ) due to Anime Weekend Atlanta. my friend and i are driving three hours to pick up another friend then driving four hours to the airbnb we’re staying at. this con is a four day con and IT RUNS 24 HOURS. so i’ll likely be dead but i am bringing my laptop if i do have any time and will power to be on here and do drafts. other than that, you can catch me on these platforms if you with to talk or see what i’m up to during the convention!

          HE DOESN’T mean to be staring like he was. maybe its just because he had the time to stare now that they were back on earth and the war with the galra empire had finally calmed down. of course, there was still plenty of work they had to do but for now the paladins were recovering from any injuries they had sustained during the fight. he wasn’t sure how he ended up in lance’s hospital room, nor why he’s been there for a good amount of time... perhaps it was because he was the leader of voltron, he’s already checked up on pidge, hunk, and allura. lance was his last stop.

          LANCE WAS going on about something. hopefully it wasn’t anything serious or something he was concerned about because keith was spacing out hardcore. what had his full attention? lance’s eyes. have they always been that....blue? surely keith’s noticed them before, right? why now was he so captivated by them? purple eyes narrow slightly as he focuses on them, thoughts running through his mind rapidly until he notices lance stopped talking.

          “H-HUH? WHAT were you saying?”

     There was a lot on his mind, clinging to him since the weeks they had  known each other better. His feelings had slowly turned to something else, something stronger than just the normal friendship. The feelings were overbearing, irritating him until he couldn’t take it anymore. So then, he just…he just did it.

     James was going to step away, but he heard the breathless protest. It  caught him by surprise actually. He then felt his hands cup his cheeks, pulling them back into a kiss. Shock rippled through his body, a shiver running down his spine. His eyes widen at Keith’s actions, expecting him to be very angry with what James had done. 

     Their lips together felt unreal, so sweet in surprise. James’ shock quickly washed over, muscles relaxing, and he shifted a bit closer to Keith. He wasn’t so sure what to do. James didn’t want to make the other uncomfortable, so he only leaned into the kiss, his expression softer than it was before.

          HE CAN’T describe this feeling. he’s not quite sure how he feels, exactly. he knows it’s a good feeling yet at the same time he feels nervous, almost scared. still, keith lets her lips move together, shocked by just how well they seemed to be in sync with one another. the kiss was sweeter than the first one, softer and more gentle but there was still an undertone for passion behind it.

          FINALLY, WHEN keith is forced to pull away from lack of proper air, his hands don’t drop from james’ face. he’s breathless, chest rising and falling as he stares up at james through dark bangs. “should i have asked first?” he questions quietly. of course he had noticed how james seemed to be unsure, too shocked to really do much.

          CLEARING HIS throat, purple eyes search jame’s features before he finally drops his hands back to his sides. he doesn’t bother stepping away, actually liking how close the pair seemed to be. “i just wanted to see if you could kiss me better than that first one.” a joke. he’s surprised he can still joke with his emotions running haywire but joking had to be a good sign, right?

Keith didn’t like him. That much he knew. 

Well, maybe “didn’t like” wasn’t the right phrase. Hunk told him to watch his phrasing or he could hurt himself. “Was paranoid of” seemed closer. It really wasn’t that Kuro thought Keith hated him. Kuro just knew when he wasn’t wanted as well as he knew what pain was.

So why the fuck was Keith coming up to him now? 

“Need somethin’, Rosebud?” Kuro lowered his training knife (Allura wouldn’t let him have real knives in the holodeck) and tilted his head. “Takkyun– Er, Shiro– ‘s up top. Yanno, since you’re probably lookin’ for him. Or somethin’.”

          IT’S NOT that keith didn’t like kuro and honestly it was a stretch to say he was just paranoia. more so, keith was just wary of the clone, wanting to keep him at arms length until he got to know him better. of course, they was only possible if keith actually made an effort to get to know kuro. up to this point, keith was either with the blade and when he was back with voltron, he was always close to shiro. he had no desire to get to know kuro for the longest time ( and he still didn’t want to ) but after shiro had a talk with him, keith knew he had to at least try.

          KEITH SIGHS heavily upon seeing the male, purple eyes narrowing at the nickname he had been given. “he’s part of the team now, keith. we can’t function if you two don’t at least try to get along.” he could hear shiro’s words in the back of his mind. it was almost annoying that shiro was always right but keith should have expected it at this point.

          “I’M NOT always looking for shiro,” he responds quickly. eyes never once leave the other’s form, almost as if he was studying the male before him. “i was actually looking for you. allura told me you’ve been here for a few hours so i was gonna ask if you were hungry or something.”

ALRIGHT GOOD NEWS. i’m starting to get back into the hang of writing. that being said, i’m going to pretty much drop most things and start new things. i’ve just let stuff sit around for too long and have lost the muse for a lot in my drafts now. stuff i’m not gonna drop i will message muns once i’ve decided but other than that --- LIKE THIS FOR SOMETHING NEW WITH KEITH.

thank you tho, i love your pidge too! and yeah, it just sucks to be so busy and not have enough time or motivation to actually get on and do replies like i want to. and i have so many drafts that i’ve just let sit there while i try to get everything in line for an anime convention i’m going to in like 11 days so there’s like....3-4 cosplays i’ve been working on and i just hdkjslkashkfdl not to mention work

      The rough kiss lasted a few seconds before it took a softer tone. His eyes fluttered shut for a moment, taking in this feeling. His heart was racing within his chest. A first kiss. James never imagined his would be something like this, and let alone a person that was seen as his enemy once ago.

     James broke apart from Keith, eyes reopening once again. He looked at Keith for a second or two before he cleared his throat. He wasn’t so sure why he did what he did, but it made his heart fly high, and he wanted to do it again. Although he couldn’t bring himself to do it.

     He shifted away from him, letting go of Keith’s shirt. His eyes dropped to the ground, “ I…sorry. ”

          HIS LIPS part slowly as they separate from each other. keith was still trying to wrap his thoughts around the action that had just taken place but he found his mind was far too preoccupied with other thoughts so he was unable to actually think about this situation rationally like he would have. it was shocking, the fact that he had just had his first kiss with james of all people --- someone who he hated so many years ago...

          STILL, IN the split second they parted, there was a wave of panic that washed over him. it was unlike anything he had ever felt before and for the first time, keith could admit to himself that he was afraid of loosing someone. james meant something to him, that much he realized, and he’d be damned to let this go.

          IT TAKES everything within keith to snap out of his thoughts, block them out and just act. “no!” the protest leaves him in a breathy tone, his hands quickly moving to cup each side of james’ face before he’s pressing his lips against the other’s once more.

     The snap threw him off a little, and he saw the regret on his face as soon as he had said those words. He had never seen Keith like this before, clearly, something was really bothering their new leader. “Yeah, right” Lance rolled his eyes, trying to lighten up the mood a little bit “and I am an alien prince”.

     “Look, I know that… I’m maybe not the number one person you would go and talk about your problems,” He sighed, looking down at his own fingers fidgeting with each other. “but I’m your friend, if anything is bothering you or if there’s anything I can do to help you… just tell me.” He smiled.

     Lance placed a hand on one of his shoulders, hoping he would meet his eyes. He hated seeing him like this, there was so much stuff he didn’t know about Keith, he wishes he could trust him.  

          HE SHOULDN’T look up, no matter how badly he wanted to. he would never tell lance, but he could be rather comforting and gentle ( two things keith found he needed more often than not ) when the time called for it. feeling a hand on his shoulder, he gives in and finally meets lance’s gaze. the frown on his lips only grows before there’s a sigh escaping his lips, eyes suddenly trying to focus on anything but his fellow paladin. 

          “THIS IS going to sound so stupid, honestly...” he trails off. keith needed to let it out, needed to say it out loud then maybe he’d realize how dumb he was being. maybe then he’d be able to just forget about everything. “i’m jealous of you, alright?”

           Nothing beat coming up here to stargaze on days he found it hard to sleep. The beautiful of the glimmering stars never failed to soothe him, especially with the rare peaceful atmosphere–

           The sound of someone approaching caught his attention, and he craned his neck to see the other. Setting his sights on him, his expression relaxed a little.

           “It’s a little late to be out and about, don’t you think?“ He really wasn’t one to talk, but–

          DESPITE THE tiredness in his voice and eyes, a small smile spreads across his lips as his steps come to a stop next to his leader. “i could ask you the same thing now couldn’t i?” he questions sarcastically, a laugh leaving him through his nose.

          TURNING HIS head, he sets his eyes on all the stars, letting them dance around before he finds a rather bright one to focus on. “just have a lot on my mind,” he explains.
