Mostly aimed to have fun more than anything. Played around with the Purple-Yellow styled contrast.
Will include older design when I'll settle on how exactly I want it to look like, this is one of the drafts that got refined / rendered.
The Creature's intended to be Bird/Dragon/Raptor looking, The name's Lightbulb (due to very early design choices making it look like one, instead of scrapping the idea - building atop of it.) And it is also meant to be Spectral's Pet. (Spectral is the character alongside which idea for Lightbulb started)

Took stupidly long to settle on an idea (initially was going for a different card, The Judgement, but none of the sketches suited it so moved on to other card for this Arc (4 cards total. 3 upright and 1 reverse, for symbolism reasons) and overall had much easier time.
Will be making art of the other relevant cards later on, when I get fitting ideas, as I do want the symbolism page to rely on my own art than images off of the internet.

Mostly relying on my memory when it comes to different story arcs for majority of my characters.
In case of Neo's story - every arc brings something new to her design or a piece of change. Mostly affecting her outfits or hair. Alongside contracts/deals with other characters which also influence something about the character. (Like contract with polymorphic virus -- which most often choose to be monstrous centaur like creatures -- would give you some sort of monstrous feature as well, either directly do body or clothes)
Bit by bit making and refining her dedicated page on toyhouse, figured that referencing any relevant changes across her story would be good even if for just keeping track which design pieces appear when.
This ref is also to show the DataStrip state - as a Lead Developer, she would've had golden metalic bones and perma-shadow on the Dataframe, but after fatal error, only broken code pieces are left behind. Her bone still retained the metallic texture, (anyone not on developer team has matte by default. Unless it's gained through a dev or a hacker or other means)
Mostly done for the fun of it, personally love the type of contrasting and/or glitching visual. The audio piece felt like a perfect fit for this character lore piece, although likely not directly in the story itself.
+ uses the gif animation loop I recently shared as well - mentioning as it is the key piece of the background in this one.
Additional Context alongside some written down description of the main idea:
Can treat it more like a viewer introduction to the story, like a hook point to get started, although other than viewer point of view, there is also focus on the element of not just past and present time of the character in the piece (Neo) but what brought her into that drastic of a change,
In this instance, it is about The Fatal Error, which is partially why decided to lean on the funky visual choice of contrast and glitch.
"It's all mixed up in my head, The images, The sounds, The smell" - Initially woken with no memory, barely any, and then flood of them all just appearing as if directly inserted/imported into her mind. The images of the past, human life and during, entering digital world and something going drastically terribly wrong, Sounds, mixed with the past time, just any casual days, including the one's of working overtime on this digital reality, and panic of her team as realisation set in. And a hint that she does have the faint memory of how her mind was fried up in the real world during the Fatal Error and how did it smell before pretty much her memory got scattered over like puzzle pieces yet to be put together.
Good chunk of beginning of CodeBreaker she isnt aware yet of any of it. Partially due to needing to not think about it and having to approach it slowly.

The freshly made gifs are in the exact same time frame, of the same character, except, the "human" is dead now.
The fatal error was literally fatal to her human conscience and body, bringing her present self into existence in the digital world that brought her demise, but as much as it killed her - that "sacrifice" sparked the world into life on it's own, a functional ecosystem in digital realm sparking into existence alongside her, just her waking taking enough time that she appears only a while after things started.
In the story, she's both aware and unaware - aware of her memories, knowledge and so on, but unaware as she didnt connect the dots just yet. There are also a few characters that knew her human self + some side stories in the same world alongside (yes, I worldbuild for every single character story of mine, can't help it, it's just fun)
+ lil fun fact: for this specyfic story, things like Hair lenght, clothes, design details and so on are puzzle pieces connecting time-frames, events and animations between one another, each character has influence on one another pretty much
Other than the story, design choice is intentional and is a note to how old the character is and is like a nod to THE OG version of her that started her existence before her story began being properly worked on. Too nostalgic to alter her main design, and there are already plans for the story to build atop of the currect looks, so it's for the human design to hold onto what remains of the past. Representation of the old concepts.

Mostly focused on make it fit alongside the audio, so is kinda fastpaced + first proper animated attempt like this one. But started it and now only on a path to improve ^^
