Greetings, Dudes and Dudettes, my name is Fifi Mae and this is my new blog.

This will be primarily an art blog, for a while there will be a mix of old art from my archives and brand new art.

My main types of art are fashion and graphic designs.

I have had a passion for fashion since I was nine; i used to use these plastic stencils to draw dresses and outfits that were usually not the most stylish, but it helped me grow. Over the years I filled many many sketch books with designs as well as other experiments with art, including character design. My designs have been described as ‘Unique but not costume-ie,’; many of my designs are inspired by food, fantasy, my nerdy interests and other miscellaneous objects, and are designed in a way that you know where the inspo comes from without being tacky or…well ‘costume-ie’.

My love for graphic design started when I was 13, I had this Chromebook and started using free art programs like Deviantart Muro and SumoPaint (shout out to anyone who use those programs too,). The programs included brushes with paderns and stamps and using those I would make wallpapers and folder covers. As I got older I continued with other programs, including ibisPaint and Audodesk Sketchbook, and eventually ProCreate. I have experimented with Logos but my main love is wallpapers, journal and notebook covers, phone, tablet, and laptop cases, stickers, posters, and in general what ever I can put my designs on.

Overall my art is very colorful. I have a love for celestial themes; stars and galaxies, as well as the sky and sunsets. As well as nature themes especially flowers. I also use a lot of ornate swirls and mandalas. My favorite thing to do is recreating textures, mostly glitter and denim/fabric.

Outside of digital art, I also love textile arts; sewing, arts and crafts, knitting and crocheting, embroidery, jewelry making and more. I have been sewing since I was 12, continuing and improving as I got older, tho I mostly stick to smaller projects. I was big into jewelry making when I was 14 and still enjoy it to this day. I didn’t really start knitting/crocheting till I was 18/19 when I finally got the hang of it.

That’s all I have to say for now, I will start posting soon but I wanted to make this Intro for the new blog.

After quite a few months I have gotten WAY better at crocheting.

I’ve made so many things over these months but this has been the biggest and best project. This Bag took a little under a month (Dec 26th 2023-Jan 23 2024), there was quite a bit of trial and error but in the end it came out really cute.

Very Smol! like a thimble.

Attempt Two:

bigger and a bit better but still too tiny to be a hat, and has a mixed of odd stitches, sewed some leftover tshirt material i had lying around as lining and turned it into a holder for my paper clips.

Attempt three:

Itty bitty bucket hat, tied it to the paper clip holder as a lid.

I'm still figuring it out lol, but hey practice makes prefect.

My first hand-sewn project bag, with sashiko style quilting to keep the sides upright.  

This being my first bag, I made some rookie mistakes.  eg: I forgot to hide my raw edges between the exterior and lining fabrics; so inside the bag, you can see raw edges.  

But I did make a little pocket for a crochet hook!  

Anyway, I’m extremely pleased with how it turned out–especially for my first try!  I learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed stabbing this a bajillion times.  

I’m also very excited to show off this bag: “I made it!  It has a pocket!  And inside is something else I’m making!”  😄🥰

Spent a week making this zipper bag.

This is actually the second time sewing on a zipper, but the first time was when I was 14 and…it wasn’t very good. Now that I’m older I still struggled to get the zipper on but its stable and works. I’m sure next time it’ll be easier.

I’m really proud of this, the colors are so me and its a message that I live by.

About 2 months ago I took up cross stitch, and naturally I had to pair that with my current hyper fixation. This is the end result.

Unfamiliar yet with making my own patterns, this is a copy of Caitlin Dow's work, which they posted on a Critical Role Facebook group. Along with @devildaisies original pixel art.

There are a couple of little things I'm not thrilled with, such as they lack of contrast between Jester's horns and hair colour, but mostly I'm super happy with how it turned out.

Next up I'm going to try doing them with bodies. Now I know Devildaises' art has those for me to copy and I'm comfortable with their faces, it seems like the practical next step. This brought me a lot of joy, so thank you to both Devildaises and Caitlin Dow for the inspiration 😊

A couple weeks ago, my BBF drew this adorable pic of one of their OC Gio, I had been in an embroidery mood so I asked ‘em if I could turn the drawing into a patch and they said yes.

I started on September 13th and fully finished today (the 27th), two full weeks.

(The way I did the eyebrows it looks like she’s raising her eyebrow, lol)

Sewed it onto iron-on strips, and will soon iron it onto my bag with my IPRE badge.

Welp, this is it for the pop hybrids and I gave a shot on the two on the right after seeing some other posts.

This probably wouldn’t have taken two hours if I just got off my lazy butt to boil the heads. I didn’t though. I just used brute force to pry off the original heads and very sharp knives to make the holes larger on the new heads.

Going to try painting the two pop girls, the skin tone is too off. Besides that, gotta dress the rest.

When it comes to my love for Textile arts, I have a few inspirations. My mother, Nana, and Abulia all enjoyed sewing and knitting, and helped teach me, even if it took me a while to get a hang of both.

But my biggest inspiration for arts and crafts was this channel; My Froggy Stuff.

I discovered them when one night when I was 11. How? I don't know exactly but I was watching a lot of toy reviews at the time so that propbley influenced the algorithm. but for however reason I found 'em and I was enraptured.

They did basically every type of craft for dolls; furniture, décor, accessories, and my favorite, clothes. Christmas 2013 (age 12) I got a sewing kit, as well a few dolls (Rarity and Rainbow Dash EQG dolls, Madalyn Hatter EAH Doll, and Skelita Calaveras MH doll,) and using the mouton of fabric and material I made all kinds of stuff. Mostly dresses, leggings, and tube tops, just easy stuff. I honestly wasn't very good, ('hemming the fabric isn't important,' my dumb ass) but it was still fun and a great learning experience. I also use to attempt other stuff with cardboard, glue, cheep kids paint, and other stuff, tho I would mostly end up making a mess.

Back then the only place I really had to do stuff like that was the Living Room, as at the time I shared my room with my sister and didn't had a desk. I also didn't have much in the way of storage, out side of a bajilion discarded containers and my closet. As the years went on I continued watching them, occasionally doing some of the crafts.

They also would review new dolls and this was how I would keep up with current toys.

The channel was also my introduction to custom dolls.

Around 2020 I just kinda fell off, Idk maybe just me getting older, but I just stopped watching. Just today I started re-watching today and they really are nostalgic.

Anyway, thanks for reading my silly ramblings.

From January 8th to June 10th of 2022, I hand embordered my very own IPRE badge.

The Adventure Zone is something very important to me and holds a very special place in my heart, and I've always wanted my own badge, but have never been able to get one, ether official or fan made, so when I got a bunch of sewing/embroidery stuff for Christmas 2021, I decided to make one of my own. This was my first big embroidery project since i was about 14 (I made my brother a small Batman symbol pillow for Christmas) but watching videos plus already having skills in sewing made the project run pretty smoothly.

The project itself only took about three weeks, but due to burnout, my mental heath drooping due to tragedy, and running out of the thread for the background, I had to take a brake from January 13th to March 1st, then from March 11th to June 6.

I was very proud of how it turned out, I sewed it to iron on patch and put it on my messenger bag.

So if you know me, you should know that I love toys and dolls, and that includes Barbie.

The animated Barbie movies are always a treat, even if they very in quality, and I especially love the dresses and outfits made for the movies. So, I wanted to design dresses for if I ever had the chance to make my own Barbie movie.

Introducing: Barbie in the Cyber Adventure. Follow BFFs Chloe and Maggie as they’re transported to a whole new world inside of a computer. Now they must to help their new friend Tecna to save this world from an evil computer virus.

I gave the outfits the color scheme of the main color with a lighter and darker shade, cyber green, and accented by metallic silver/chrome.

Chloe's strappy halter dress feels very on brand for Barbie, the skirt would be seprete lairs with the glittery lair trimmed with metallic over the cyber grid lair, and not shown is under the skirt is a couple lairs of shiny darker pink tulle.

Maggie's outfit has a bit of an 80s vibe with the off the shoulders, fingerless gloves, and bunched up socks. the under clothes were suppose to be a bra and leggings but it became more of a bodysuit.

Tecnas outfit is a bit more ostentatious the the others but thats cuz {PLOT TWIST} she is actually the princes of the cyber kingdom, as shown by her bigger dress, big gem necklace, and opera gloves. I honestly don't really know how the shoulder pads would work other then a soft plastic.

That's all I gotta say 'bout the girls for now but I might talk 'bout 'em later.

Sooooo, I'm totally not the first person to make Fem Aziraphale and Crowley, but that don't mean I cant throw my hat into the ring!

I did this a little under a month after Season 2 (while still grieving); Crowley did not start that way, I was mostly just dicking 'round trying to figure out what to make when I decided on the sleeveless jumpsuit and leather jacket combo, and slowly but surely became more Crowley-esk. (i'm imagining the boots are snake skin,)

You can't have a Crowley without an Aziraphale (sobs); while Crowley style is cool and sexy with a slight rockabilly vibe, Aziraphale is soft, comfy, and adorable (as it always should be,) I had to draw the shoes at lest five times cuz they kept turning into sneakers, (which yes would be cute but not what I wanted)
