Brit showed me someone's dragon AU and reminded me to post my own, because great minds think alike xD

Angeal is a "beast dragon", ruler of the Black Forest and King of Beasts. I based his design off of Penance, because of course I did. Oh, his tail was was bitten off by Genesis when they were kids btw Despite being considered a "ruler", he was banished to the forest by Sephiroth (a mercy, since he would have otherwise killed him) for protecting Genesis, despite his betrayal.

Genesis is a "red dragon", known for their lustrous red scales, affinity for fire, and a deadly venomous bite. Genesis is unusual for his black feathered wings, one of which was removed by Sephiroth after attempting to usurp his throne in a fit of his ever-growing madness after years of loyalty.

Genesis was banished to the Mountains near Banora, his kingdom which he razed to the ground. By banished, I mean he was literally caged into the mountain so he wouldn't cause trouble anymore.

I haven't touched on this AU in quite some time! Riku ends up freeing Genesis in a plea to cure his brother, who was poisoned by Genesis in their battle 400 years ago but wasn't effected by it until ShinRa weakened him with Dragon's Bane.

I really wanted to draw some Merman Riku (he’s more of a Siren, based on the AU Brit and I made, but Merman is more expected lol)

Scar on his throat is from his twin brother, fighting for who’s worthy of the throne after Riku’s found meddling with humans far too much. Nisemono aimed on purpose, not to kill him, but to make sure he couldn’t use his voice and magic anymore.
