“ I can make a nice stew ,probably I will go hunt something for the meat” Fresh meat was alwways tastier and they could turn the rest into jerky or something for the style.Or even utilize it as lure.

“ Whatever suits you Rose. Is not like I can go and buy some stuff myself” Dezel shrugged, it was a disadvantage of being a Seraph. You were invisible to humans who didn’t had some resonance.

The Seraph sighed and gave some steps “ Let’s go to town.Maybe you can establish some nice contacts while we are there ” And he could buy ingredients to make something for the trip.

“Oh, my dear Dezel, thank-you for reminding me to network with this town ~” Rose purred happily; he was always one to look after her even before she knew he existed.

“Also sure you can, just place the money down and scare the ever loving fudge out of the townspeople when you take an item !” Rose hunched over making a claw pose with her hands.

“Please don’t do that actually, if I am to make contacts I don’t want you scaring them off,” with a laugh she continued, “well then, let’s go to town !” Whatever they couldn’t find they could forage or hunt.

“I don’t want you to fall asleep so quickly, that’s all,” He replied and just listens to her. Yes, he knew her since she was a little girl and the only times she had very little energy were when she was ill…really sick The seraphim couldn’t help but to conceal his face at Rose’s words. She notices, SHE NOTICE the intentions behind his words and that made him feel a little ashamed. Dezel wasn’t someone who used to express this kind of feeling so often after all. He clicked his tongue and made a gesture that translate it into a ‘Don’t mind’. Why was it incredibly difficult for him to not being an ass sometimes? “Anyway, Go wash your hands. I feel they will ask me to prepare something with what we have left” Which wasn’t an easy task, but he would do it anyway.

“Ooh what do you think you’ll make ? We can always go foraging or hunting for food.”

“Or, y’know we can go into town and buy some food.” She wanted to help him out in some way whether it be cooking wise, even though he probably won’t let her near the kitchen, or getting ingredients.

Rose always tried to let Dezel know that he was welcome to her and everyone, he was like a parent or big brother to her.

His eyes glanced over the words as he chewed his bottom lip in thought. Not a spirit…but a Seraph? He’d heard that term before, but only in passing. He hadn’t realized they were the same thing, though thinking back, he should have seen it coming. He wasn’t very educated when it came to history and people, so he paid little attention to terms. 

But still, if she was lost, he couldn’t necessarily just send her away. While he got the idea that she could protect herself, there were still Monster class creatures in the area. It was the whole reason why he was out here, after all.

So when he gave the notebook back to her, he also handed her some jerky that he had.

‘Do what you want. I’m not headed back to town for a while. Not until i finish my mission. You’re free to stay here until I finish and I’ll take you back to town then.’

Jerky. She hadn’t eaten anything in years. Mainly because of being a Seraphim but also due to not having much luck in getting anything that is sold in shops due to no one being able to see her.

‘Thank-you.’

‘Also, I can help if you’re hunting ! I’m not sure what kind of mission you’re on but I’ll do my best to help out ! I’m a lot stronger than I look.’

“Aye~” It’d be a while till she saw the person she loved again, but oh well. A giggle as she adjusted the present she was leaving behind for Yuri to find. She wondered if he’d get mad or say something.

“Just a doll for him to find~ I’ll make him a Repede doll later~” 

“Ooh, what about making Repede a doll instead of making Repede into a doll ? I mean, if you don’t I will. To me, the guy deserves a little gift too.”

Repede was Rose’s buddy. She likes to think that he loves her just as much as she loves him.

As the two of them head out, Rose closes the door behind them and re-locked the lock she picked earlier. “Alrighty, lets head out !”

            When Rose replied in a reassuring tone, Sorey returned his focus on the ceremony. Seriously, she always made him worry for nothing. Guess, he should get used to it, he already know what Rose capabilities are during the course of their journey, so she knows well how to take care of her own health. Its just his natural approach whenever he saw a friend in state of uneasiness.

            As she made compliments about Alisha in her formal clothes as part of royal family and would soon reign as the Queen of the kingdom, Sorey simply nodded his head off with a smile, ❛ Indeed, she was. ❜ He seconded. Alisha always look well in whatever clothes she wear, that’s for certain. The ceremony was close to its end, still the crowd overwhelmed the place as they watched Alisha in awe. The place was filled with smile and gleeful chattering, whispers of compliments for Alisha from the citizens of Ladylake every now and then.

“Sorey what do you say about throwing Alisha a surprise party after her ‘official party’ ?”

The two of them could sneak into her estate and decorate it while the party at the castle goes on and they can have a little party with the three of them afterwards.

“I know we were both invited to that party but I wanna do something a little special for her.” The ceremony was almost over, Alisha was just thanking everyone for allowing her to become queen.

A chuckle from her reaction. Maybe Guy missed teasing Luke a little too much and Rose had to deal with it just a little bit. 

Patting her head, he gave a smile. “Even if I’m teasing, you shouldn’t let your guard down so easily.” Watching her form a moment he gave a hum of thought. He really didn’t need anything.

“How’s Luke, by the way?”

“I know it’s just...this kingdom is overwhelming.” The layout was just too confusing.

“Luke’s good. He’s still the same loveable idiot as per usual.” Turning around to face Guy, her hair shifted as his hand was on her head.

“How come you always seem to appear out of nowhere but always seem to come at a good time ?”

Rokurou was currently practicing his fighting style, a training exercise he did every morning to keep himself from getting rusty. When Rose spoke to him about their similar fighting styles, he had to take a moment to recall the times he had seen her fight.

“You think so? Where did you learn your fighting style?” the samurai asked. He wondered if his Rangetsu Style was passed down between generations where she is from.

“Well, initially I learned how to fight from the person who took me in, but,”

“I took my own spin on it.” Although it was only their finishing moves that Rose thought was the same, she didn’t quite think that someone would come up with anything similar to what she had practiced and made for herself.

A blink before she looked down at what she was writing. “So when it’s someone you just have to think about to feel happy and all warm inside, aye?” she asked, looking up. 

“Aye, it’s done~ Just hafta head back to my sip and get to sewing it up. But first..” Shuffling through her coat, she pulled out an odd-looking doll before crawling under the other’s bed to hide it.

“Yeah, something like that.” It was surprising that they were able to say it so much clearer than what Rose could. Perhaps it was because when you’re in love your thoughts get jumbled up when thinking about the person you’re in love with.

“Alrighty, let’s get back to your ship then. Need any help with it ?” With Patty putting in all this work, Rose thinks that it’s gonna come out great.

“Wait, what’d you put under Yuri’s bed.. ?”

“Well, for dinner of course,” he huffed, the seraph didn’t wanted the girl to fall asleep in the middle of the food. Or even after they have consumed the food. “Nah, I think you are pretty Awesome for being a human,"He sighed, hopefully she wont make fun of him for being honest for once. After all, the Seraph always admired the charming girl. How she was capable to stand up after all that he caused.

"Besides, I have all the time in the world to practice” Of course, that time would end when he his choosen vessel no longer  existed , and the malevolence inside of him consumed him. But it was something he accepted and wasn’t scared of.

“I always have energy for dinner. It’s like you’ve never met me before !”

“Aww Dezel, I didn’t know you thought of me that way ~” Of course she had to tease him if only for a little while. The girl didn’t quite know how to take compliments that well.

“Thanks for saying that.” Despite all the teasing she thought he was pretty amazing as well. Although she wouldn’t say it aloud as of yet.

“Well, excuuuuse me Sorey. A merchant’s stand lives or dies depending on their supplies and how well they use them.” Of course she was upset over this and playfully dragging this out despite there being other stands but this stand sold the best mabo-curry buns.

“Hey Rokurou, did you notice we have a similar fighting style ?” Rose asked pulling out one of her daggers. “And weapons.”

His daggers looked special to him. It was just like how Rose feels about hers.

“Watch your back !” Guy said all of a sudden, scaring the thinking Rose.

“What is it ? What’s there ? !” Looking around, all she saw was her companion. “Dang it, Guy ! Don’t scare me like that !”

The girl was trying to put some things together in her head concerning this country. Luke had told her about the royals in this country he lived in. All the kingdoms and places she’s been to is a lot of information to hold onto.

Catching her breath, she asked: “Did you need something, Guy ?”

“ Well, they say when you lose one of you senses, the other’s get stronger.” He just pulled his bangs a little more to cover his eyes and then closed them. The Seraph didn’t want her to worry about him, and of course they looked really disgusting, for him. Dezel sighed at her touch, now he has woken up her competitive side. Wait, did she had more? Did they sell those? Maybe, kids enjoyed this kind of things. It is possible later Dezel should ask her, where they get them to sell them. He sat peacefully on the ground, observed, applauded, nodded and made a little smile from time to time. “Rose, maybe you should save some energy for later” He chuckled.

“ Also” he teased “You forget I dont need to sleep, I can stay all night playing”

The girl watched as her friend moved his hair in front of his eyes as if he was ashamed of his scars. He most likely knows of how many scars Rose has if he’s been around her for a while. She hoped he wouldn’t have to do that around her but old habits and thoughts die hard and she knew that from first hand experience.

“Oh ? Save my energy for what ?” Rose chirped and slowed down a little. Not much time had passed as of yet.

“Dezel, honey, that’s cheatin’ ! You’re a Seraph and I am a lowly human.” With a bit of theatrics and exaggeration, she pulled her movements to a stop and sat down next to her friend.

Dark eyes scanned the page, reading the words with a scowl on his face. So….this wasn’t a trick by the Guilds. He’d never heard of anyone named Rose before, and despite his anti-social behavior in towns he was quite perceptive and knew many of the people who went in and out.

His eyes narrowed, and finally things seemed to click into place just a bit. The word ‘human’ written in that neat script tipped him off to what exactly she was. A Spirit. He’d never interacted with them before, never had a reason too. He was sort of resentful towards them, in truth….just like he was other people. Their habits of picking and choosing people that they liked and supported. Where were they all those years ago…?

That was the reason he wasn’t resonating as strong as he could have been with her.

Scowling, he flipped the page once again, holding the lid of the pen between his lips as he scribbled his reply.

'Probably because you’re a spirit. Didn’t realize it until you wrote “human” that you were one.’ He paused, seeming to think about what he wanted to write. ’We’ve never met. Sorry if you mistook me. I don’t interact with others unless I have too. My name is Yuuri, not Koun. Are you lost?’

The last sentence was written…almost like an after thought. No where near as neat as he handed the notebook back to her and started busying himself around his small camp. A strange sounding grumble came from somewhere deep in his throat, obviously a sound of agitation but it just….didn’t sound right? It sounded like it probably hurt to make.

With the notebook back in hand, she read through what he had written and immediately started writing a response.

‘I’m not a spirit ! Spirits are scary, man ! I’m a Seraph, VERY different !’

‘and I’m not lost’

‘I actually may be lost... Also I can hear your voice just fine, you just can’t hear mine.’

Rose hoped he wouldn’t send her off on her own way, she wanted to know this version of Koun, no, Yuuri. He looked so much like Koun that she hoped he wont get unnerved by anything she may say or rather write.

A smile as she looked up before going to grab a set of Yuri’s clothes to get a measurement from them. If only the knight outfit was in here, that would have all the right measurements.

“What’s it like dating?” the girl asked as she scribbled down the measurements. No one in her little group dated, though she did wonder about Rita-nee and Estelle.

1“Dating is like being in love with your best friend. And not the usual kind of love. This kind of love makes me feel anxious yet relived and worried. But it’s always better when I see her.”

Oh now look at what she’s gotten into, Rose just made herself embarrassed by talking about Alisha. “Now then, have you gotten his measurements ? If you haven’t already we can start a design for the dress ?”

“I actually wasn’t blind when I born, I became blind some years ago” He honestly would cause her genuinely believe it had been countless centuries since he has this condition, since it was better fro Rose to not know he has been there since the begging. He snorted a little and gently huffed “Yes we can, just think about us like humans but with powers and that can live until corrupted by malevolence or killed” After all, once you turned into a Hellion you could turn into a fierce dragon, or be killed by another hellion. “Oh, you are right.” He joked.“I may drink like 100 cups of coffee to have the same energy as you” he just allows her took the memento fo his friend. Hopefully she wont get too attached to it. After all, helped to cover his wounded and clouded eyes.

“Oh..” Leaning down and looking up, Rose looked at his eyes. “That’s true.”

“Well, you can ‘see’ more with the wind so maybe you can beat me without all that coffee. Don’t need you going into Ultra Instinct Mode.” With a snicker she patted him on the shoulder.

“Now it’s my turn ! I’m gonna show you up, old man !” Taking out another skip-ball, she attached it to her foot. “I can go for hours !” And she nearly did, doing little tricks to surprise Dezel and to show him how cool and skilled she was.
