Okay I admit I laughed at this April fool... You win Iceland
The person who composed the Dr Who theme tune back in 1963, Ron Grainer, didn’t actually arrange it - that was mostly the work of Delia Derbyshire and some other BBC people.
I’m bringing this up because, in 1980, Grainer finally did produce an arrangement of the Dr Who theme, as he had imagined it, and, well, you will not expect what you’re about to hear
Four years later, I’m still not over this.
Someone with more video editing skill/patience than me please make the 70s cop show opening (with freeze frames on each major actor, you know the type) that this so badly wants to be.
op i have excellent news:
MY FAVORITE DOCTOR WHO EPISODES 4/? - S11E06 'Demons of the Punjab'
keep thinking about how ruby decides instantly that it's her purpose to save the world from roger ap gwilliam, that she recognizes the callback to just before the doctor disappeared, and she's sure that this is what the woman has been following her for and what will finally break the time loop. and then it isn't. it was just something she decided to do. a story that her pattern-seeking brain put together and created rules for that she tried to steer into a satisfying ending. i've seen complaints that the episode feels like two different concepts that could have each been their own episodes that got weirdly forced together in a way that didn't connect them at all, but like that's the whole point! ruby said nope, i'm turning this folk horror metaphor for my attachment issues into a save-the-world hero story! to cope! the world gave me setup so i'm bringing the followthrough! except in the end, the story didn't reciprocate, and ultimately she was just a rather lonely woman who was living her rather lonely life and decided to save the world, and it didn't heal her attachment issues, but it did help some other people, and it did pass the time. which is why this episode is also about the doctor
Sarah and her Oranges 🧡

Doctor Who Speedrunning Tips
By using the 'travel with me' dialogue option, you can skip over most sidequests by instantly killing the one-off companion.
When attempting a No Kills run, it is easiest to play as the Seventh Doctor with Ace or the Fourth Doctor with Leela; by calling your companion to follow and then placing her between you and an enemy, she will kill it without any kills added to your statistics.
The Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead sidequest may seem important, due to furthering the Donna branch of your companion relationships, but it introduces River, and while she is useful in many of the Eleventh Doctor quests, there are many unskippable quests that you have to complete once you've met her.
To skip all Master boss fights and conflicts during UNIT levels, play as Jo.
When fighting Daleks, jumping on top of them causes them to glitch and spin in endless circles, quickly clearing out any other enemies in the area. However, this only works with earlier Doctors.
Related to this, Daleks are far more physically vulnerable and easy to fight when playing as one of the 'Classic' Doctors.
Rory can die, but he never stays dead. It's likely a glitch, but it's nonetheless very useful. He also has the properties of an Auton at points. When in New York, he and Amy are also immortal, but beware of glitches that can occur that change the in-universe date.
obviously 12 was not grading papers. or rather he was but only the ones he found really interesting. he does the time lord skimming read then hands the acceptable/boring ones to nardole to Actually grade. the unacceptable ones get a “:(” on it but nardole is the one that actually inputs grades. if missy is particularly bad she does have to help but missy secretly enjoys it because… well. she likes pretending to be the doctor she giggles to herself as she writes some really sanctimonious pretentious stuff that she likes to think he’d write and occasionally will actually give the students meaningful critique. then sometimes she will straight up write shit like “this is the doctor and i hope you die”
Oh shit, good for them

Happy 9 years of Doctor Who's Heaven Sent!
I haven't done much cake decorating, but I love the 12th Dr. Who and I've had this idea ever since I heard about the island cake trend, so I thought I'd finally give it a try for the anniversary c:
