an: this story takes place some time after the events of "you'll never meet another me"; fun domestic scene :)
I FUCKING FORGOT TO POST THIS WHEN IT WAS DONE SO HERE YOU GO-
Staying in the Ancient Retreat is strange; it has been strange, not even knowing there was a woman living in the foothills of ancient mountains, but now I’m living here too-
Strange life ahead of me, huh?
But it’s not bad; not at all. It’s good to be away from everyone; the clan settlements aren’t too far and requests aren’t being shoved down my throat the minute I leave my cabin in Jubilife. It feels good to be a little on my own-
“Good morning!”
“Jesusfuckingchrist- Volo, you have to announce yourself,” I scold, sighing as my heart races, arms wrapping around my chest from behind.
“Right- I’m sorry,” Volo apologizes, kissing the top of my head softly, his arms around my arms, holding me against him like a doll.
“Good morning to you,” I say after a moment, relishing in his warm hold, “What were you doing?”
“Wandering.”
He’s not lying; that’s good.
“You always get up so early.”
“I’m used to it.”
“You could stay a little longer in bed, you know.” I softly whisper, his chin resting on the top of my head.
“I could…” Volo contemplates for a moment, tightening his grip on my arms, “But I feel like I’d accidentally wake you up some mornings.”
“I’m fine with that,” I hum.
Volo holds me against him, slightly swaying as he relaxes against me, his calmness a quiet comfort to the vines in his head starting to untangle.
“How have you been feeling?” I ask, squirming my way for his arms to loosen up, turning around to face him; his hair in a low ponytail and halfway out of his face.
“Calm,” Volo sighs, resting his forehead on the top of my head, “More content.”
“That’s good,” I smile, gently cupping his face- a soft noise leaving him at the gentle touch, “Still touch starved?”
“If that’s what you’re calling it, sure.”
“Do you wanna lay down with me?”
“You just got out of bed.”
“Yeah but we don’t have to go to sleep.”
Volo cocks his brow.
“Not that either. Maybe later.”
“What then?”
I smile, taking his hand and pulling him back to our bed; everything felt sudden with Volo, staying with the man who backstabbed me in a way I never anticipated, to staying with him and helping him into a more normal state of mind. Maybe that made me mad; if Volo really wanted to, the only thing that could really stop him from hurting me would be my Pokémon- he could easily overwhelm me with our height difference-
But something told me he wouldn’t do that.
“Lay down,” I instruct, laying on top of the covers as Volo joins me, absent-mindedly pulling me against his chest. I hum as I pull myself out of the grasp, pulling myself up in the bed higher to meet his gaze- pulling him against my chest as I kiss his forehead.
“What’s this?”
“You’ve been busy recently, and I thought it would feel nice if you were the one being held.”
Volo stays quiet as he readjusts, wrapping his arms around my back and resting his head against my chest, my hands playing with his hair absently.
“I’m still not used to this.”
“I know, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have it,” I kiss the crown of his head; it’s strange to be in this position because of the natural difference in height.
“Does it feel alright?”
Volo nods, sighing deeply, relaxing further into my grasp.
“Volo?”
“Hm?”
“Can I ask you something heavier? Or would you prefer it if I didn’t?”
“Ask away.”
“Have you ever had this type of companionship before? One where it’s completely out of choice and confidence, not out of necessity?”
“I… I can’t say I have.”
That’s terrible.
I sigh as I stroke his hair, my nails lightly scraping against his scalp- a satisfied hum leaving him at the sensation. His arms tight around me as he clung onto me as if I was the only thing keeping him here.
“Maybe you just needed someone to stick by your side,” I mumble, closer to talking to myself than anything else.
“Maybe,”
“You’re adorable like this.”
“Shut-”
“Little sweet Volo-”
“I summoned the god of anti-matter-”
“Sweet baby Volo-”
“It’s not too late to kill you.”
“Yes it is- You love me.” I smile to myself smugly, his sharp sigh eliciting a giggle.
“You’re a demon.”
You literally sided with a demon you little shit-
“You’re my demon though.”
“I thought giratina was your demon-”
“I am not against gagging you to make you stop talking back.”
“But that’s mean, Volo.”
“You don’t think it’s mean the other times I gag you-”
Stupid little smirking motherfucker-
“-We can’t have Cogita hearing you.”
“I think we both know that she knows.”
“Yes but I believe she deserves to sleep.”
I roll my eyes, continuing to stroke his hair as Volo contently holds me against him, his little piece of normalcy-
“Thank you,” Volo whispers against my chest.
“You don’t need to thank me for anything.”
“You care about me don’t you?”
“Of course.”
“Thank you.”
I hum, stroking his hair from root to tip, letting him melt further into my grasp- a small whine from him not escaping me.
“You alright?” I gently ask, his grip tightening around me momentarily, a soft hiccup leaving him. He presses his face further against mine- tears falling on my skin.
“You’re alright, you’re safe,” I reassure him, holding him tighter against me, his grip tight.
“I’m not-not used to this.”
“Do you want me to sto-”
“No.”
I smile to myself, holding him in reality, his small hiccups dying out as he relaxes under my grip again- little content noises leaving him.
“You know, whenever you’re feeling starved, you can just tell me,” I remind him, kissing the crown of his head.
“I’m not good at noticing it.”
“Understandable.”
“I’m not used to having someone there, who desires me,” He mumbles, resting his face in the crook of my neck.
“Well, as long as I live, you will have that.”
Volo sighs, smiling against my skin, pressing light kisses against my neck.
“What’d you plan on doing today?” I ask.
“You said you had something you wanted me to do.”
“Oh, right,” I kiss the top of his head, “Could you, perhaps, write down all of those legends you know?”
“Why would I do that?”
“Because the passage of time is very real and the few people who know these legends may not be able to continue them orally.”
“I feel like you know something by your ominous wording.”
“Okay- there’s books written about myths and legends and they’re worded exactly how you recite stories.”
“Hm,” Volo pulls himself up, pulling me on top of him, “And what would I get in return?”
“Something to focus on that isn’t a cataclysm?”
Volo shoots me an unamused glare.
“Okay, um, I’ll think of something.”
Volo rests his hands on my hips, pulling me down to lay on top of him, my legs straddling his waist.
“Hm,” I smile at him, his eyebrow cocking.
“How about when you get done,” I tap my fingers against his chest, a little mimic of hitting piano keys, “You can marry me.”
“Alright get off of me,” Volo abruptly sits up, grabbing supplies laid out on a desk in the bedroom.
“Are you going to do it right now?” I giggle.
“I am going to have this done in 6 days.”
“Volo-”
“I am going to get this done and I’m going to marry you.”
Imagine if Volo was self aware. I think he’d start deluding himself into thinking that you’re the true god of his world. For this au, Volo doesn’t want to meet Arceus to destroy him—he wants to meet Arceus to find a way into your world.
His obsession only worsens over time. It becomes the worst when Akari or Rei finally gather all the plates because now he’s just one step away from joining you. All of his dialogue in game doesn’t change until the big reveal at the end. Volo completely believes you’re the god he’s been searching for and doesn’t accept his defeat when Giratina is struck down.
A new cutscene plays out between him and the protagonist instead of the usual conversation after the battle. He walks slowly to them, eyes downcast and shadowed by his hair, before slamming his fist directly into their face with no time for them to react. He throws away what little morals he had left in him and continues beating them down, until they’re fully unconscious. He steals all the plates and combines them into the Azure Flute.
By now, you’re in disbelief. This shouldn’t have happened, what’s going on with my save file? is what runs through your mind. Volo was never chosen by Arceus, so why did the plates respond to—
The cutscene doesn’t end there. Volo plays the usual tune and the staircase of light forms before him. It’s a slow ascent, but what makes it unsettling is that he never took his eyes off of you the moment the Azure Flute had formed. Once he’s made it to the empty platform where Arceus resides, he grins maliciously. Arceus appears before him and already starts the battle.
The god, from what you could tell, was furious. Not at you or the protagonist, but at Volo. Arceus doesn’t hold back like in the game, he sends wave after wave of attacks at Volo. Arceus knew that the last obstacle Volo had was him, so he took matters into his own hands. He never wanted the protagonist to be hurt by this monster, and now you were in danger.
If Volo wasn’t going to stop, Arceus will make absolutely sure he can’t harm you—by erasing the existence of one of his own creations.
People, please be careful. There are also people tracking children and people and putting bids on them based on their profile pictures on whatsapp, tracking and kidnapping them. Especially young children, so please be cautious, especially parents who have their children as their profile pictures.

A few days back on AO3 I found an unfinished, two chapter spideypool fanfic that was cute and had lots of potential and was also last updated two years ago. Two whole years! And it had only three comments, all of which on chapter one, none on chapter two. I enjoyed the fanfic, despite it being far, FAR from being finished and the chance of it ever updating again anytime soon was just about zero. So you know what I did?
I wrote a damn comment. On chapter two.
And I made sure that fucker was long and had a small theory of where I think the author would take the fanfic in the future. I let the person behind the fic know that I friggin LOVED the two chapters I got to read! That I would LOVE to see more! That I’d jump out of my skin in happiness and virtually hug them half to death if I saw that they updated it.
Let me remind you this fic wasn’t updated in two YEARS! I was the first to comment on it in a year. And the first to comment on chapter two! And you know what happened today?
I got a reply.
From the author of the fanfic.
And the author said how I gave them life for a project they had loved (still did) and that they were now working on a third chapter.
After two YEARS of not updating. Of not writing. And it makes me so friggin happy seeing what I did. What I caused.
With a single. Damn. Comment.
All that it took for me was to think a bit about what I wanted to tell the author and the comment it. All it took was one comment. And suddenly this person was inspired to continue a fanfic they had abandoned for TWO YEARS!!
I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t be more proud.
Comment on people’s fanfics. No matter how few chapters there are. No matter how many years have passed since their last update. Comment. You like a fanfic? Comment on it. It’s that easy.
Been seeing some theories being spread around so I had to chime in. It might be a bit crazy, but even crazier stuff has happened in the mcu.
Particularly about her:
She’s very likely playing young Sylvie Lushton, the second Enchantress. It’s the only Sylvie that has any connection to Loki and the connection they have, oh boy. In the comics Loki’s responsible for her existence.
At first it was believed Sylvie Lushton is a normal midgardian girl who suddenly woke up with mysterious and powerful magical abilities that rivalled even Amora’s. (Also Sylvie kind of pretended to be an asgardian and ‘borrowed’ Amora’s identity)
However it was later revealed by none other than Wiccan, that she has not only been gifted powers from Loki, she was entirely created by Loki.
And Loki and her had such a tight connection that when he died, she became sick and weak as well.
It’s interesting that out of two available Enchantresses, they chose to introduce the lesser known one and the one who was entirely created by Loki, and not Amora, the more popular, an actual Asgardian and a character fans have wanted to see in the mcu for years.
Even now fans falsely believe that young Cailey is playing Amora because most mistakenly confuse Amora and Sylvie of being the same person - which they’re not.
The fact that they decided to introduce Sylvie, and not Amora, makes me theorise that her origin will be explicitly tied to Loki.
But that births the question. How?
In the comics Loki magically creates her but unfortunately mcu’s Loki hasn’t been shown to be as powerful as his comic counterpart/s and has been considerably nerfed compared to them.
Another possibility is that they pick the ‘midgardian girl who was empowered by Loki’ option, which is something even comics Sylvie believed in at first. But again, why her and is mcu Loki even capable of doing something like that? He barely uses magic on his own, relies on his illusions and knives and I don’t see that changing much in the show either if the trailer is anything to go by.
But Loki is probably still linked to her somehow. Otherwise, why pick her for this show? Why pick his creation?
So I’ve been thinking, what if Marvel does another one of their twists and, while staying as close to the source material as possible, they simplify things a bit, and instead of making Sylvie Loki’s creation, they make her his daughter from another timeline?
It might sound ridiculous, but hey, they literally made Hela (a daughter of Loki) into Odin’s firstborn daughter, borrowing traits from numerous other characters including Angela. Marvel isn’t afraid to switch things up.
And the show is all about time travel and different timelines. And if that brilliant D.B.Cooper reference is anything to go by, then it’s clear that 2012 (or that scene from Thor 1) wasn’t the first time Loki visited Earth. If he’s been D.B. Cooper all along, who’s to say he hasn’t fathered a child in one of the timelines? Maybe even this one, but we and possibly even him, don’t know that yet.
And before you scoff at the idea of Loki potentially having a half human child, int he comics he’s himself admitted to having numerous kids, even half human ones, like Tess Black.
He magically created Sylvie, but he also has a daughter named Sylene, who comes from another reality and models herself after her father, Loki (and is practically a new Loki)
And she was actually mentioned last year as one of few characters who could, given the nature of the show, be making an appearance in it.
I wouldn’t be too shocked if Marvel pulled another one of their ‘let’s mash these two characters together’ shticks and combined Sylvie and Sylene, make her his daughter, but half human.
Interestingly enough, both characters Sylvie and Sylene are known for emulating other people. Sylvie modeled herself after Amora the Enchantress (yes, that’s why people confuse Sylvie and Amora), her appearance, powers matched Amora’s and Sylvie went as far as to even borrow her alias, The Enchantress (which displeased Amora).
And Sylene, as evident emulated her own father, Loki. If one didn’t know better she could easily pass for Loki’s female form.
I’m mentioning this because in the show we have a mysterious female character who by some reason clearly models herself after Loki.
If it weren’t for those combat boots and trousers her attire would look suspiciously similar to Loki’s - which still does, but it has some very ‘midgardian’ sprinkles thrown in it. However, the similarity is noticeable and many have assumed she’s female Loki, but I personally don’t believe in that theory because of her attire and most of all, her hair. I’ve heard rumours that the actress playing her, Sophia di Martino, has naturally dark brown hair and she dyed it blonde. I looked it up, and it’s true. Why dye your hair blonde if you play a character who has always been portrayed with black hair? Even the rumoured (or not so, heard he’s pretty much confirmed it by now) actor playing Kid Loki has dyed his hair black. At this point, black hair is Loki’s signature look. And after some casting decisions lately I think it’s safe to assume Marvel strives to be as comic accurate when it comes to their characters’ appearance as they can.
And as I mentioned before, Cailey Fleming is playing ‘young Sylvie’ which means there’s also an adult Sylvie in the show. The fact that we’re getting a young and adult version of the same character could indicate that this character will play a major role in the show. So far, out of all known cast, only Sophia di Martino fits the bill.
I’m convinced Sophia and Cailey play the same character but at different stages of her life. Sylvie, who for some reason emulates Loki.
Perhaps Marvel really did pull another Hela situation and merged two (or more) characters together - which clearly seems to be the case. In this case, Sylvie (believed to be a midgardian girl but turns out she was created by Loki, extremely powerful, has a thing for copying certain someone and even goes by their alias) and Sylene (Loki’s daughter from another reality/timeline, emulates her father and is basically Loki 2.0).
Even their names are kind of similar.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Loki at some point in his past (or a different timeline) fathered a daughter. The guy has a plethora of kids in the comics.
It would certainly explain the resemblance between Loki and Sophia’s character.
I was reminded that these photos exist so have a ridiculous deleted scene Loki! This cape is SO soft and the faux fur was actually a vest from Target that I demolished for this purpose!
Your father was a very powerful being. When he found out you and Loki were together, he lost it. He was well aware of all the things he had done and feared he would never protect you but put you in danger instead. Loki was determined to have you in his life so he paid your father a visit to ask for your hand in marriage, and it ended in a very ugly fight.
