Can we talk about the shoulders? This panel has probably been shared so many times, but without fail, I’m just like “his shoulders tho.” They’re literally my favorite thing about this panel, closely followed by the banter. I’ve been in quarantine too long and the internet should probably be taken away from me.

Mr and Mrs X #8 Previews

We have been starving! The back to back short stints between MMX issues over the holidays seemed to have caught up with us in the New Year! It’s as if time suddenly slowed the heck down after issue #7 but SuperHeroHype has blessed us with a morsel of 6 (yes SIX) beautiful preview pages.

Let’s dive right in!

As much as I hate seeing Rogue macking (yep, “mack”) it up with Longshot we must remember we are in Mojoverse and Moj has hit the reset button and Rogue isn’t quite aware of what’s going on…

I love Remy’s entrance and that sexy goatee he is sporting while dropping that “Dirty Dancing” line. KT never fails us with dialogue.

Ha! LOVE TRIANGLES... “Hoo Boy!”

The Prince and the King of Thieves hash it out.

Luck VS Charm

We can always count on Remy to have a card (cards) up his sleeve.

And to sweep the girl off of her feet…

Well… sort of.

So excited for MMX #8 out next week February 13th! Just a day before Valentines… it’s the perfect gift!

I think this shows us a lot about how Remy is able to read Rogue and know when to push and when to hang back and let her figure things out for herself.

It also seems like a strike against any literal empathy power, since he's talking about her facial expressions, etc., rather than anything he can directly identify. I think he's good at reading people for a lot of reasons.

But it shows how much real actual empathy he has.

Also, part of me misses when we'd get all this long internal dialogue because it showed us a lot, but it reads as a little cheesy now.
