Basically!! It's inspired by a series of portraits Velázquez did of the jesters of the spanish court in the 17th century. What's really special about these is that he portrayed them with the same honor, respect and dignity he used to paint philosophers, gods or even members of the crown with.

ENGLISH: At the age of 18, Demitty worked as a greengrocer until she joined a group of jesters, who taught her the arts of juggling and performance. Over time, the other performers were hired by the Counsel, leaving Demitty as the last choice.

When she finally arrived at the castle, she learned that her friends had been executed by the king. However, for reasons unknown, the king took a liking to her and allowed her to remain in the castle, where she stayed in the company of jester.
