Y'know, I disagree with everyone who says stuff like "Trump is a fascist/Nazi/literally Hitler" or whatever because it's... untrue. Many boil down fascism down to just nationalism+authoritarianism+militarism, which is generally untrue. By definition, Trump is not a fascist. Fascism is, in essence, state worship, e.g. not necessarily one culture or religion or even ethnicity, but rather whatever the state says the nation is, which is not Trump's goal, clearly.

Now. Nazism is a different ideology from Fascism, evident from Mussolini's hatred of Nazism in the early 1930s and especially from the Stress Front+Austrofascism's hatred of the Nazis. Whether this is from circumstance or genuine incompatibility of ideology is not for me to decide. But, Nazism also has elements of State Worship, combined with ethnic nationalism and different economic properties. Trump's ideology, frankly, doesn't really revolve around ethnicity. He may be a racist, I can't say, but his ideology isn't exclusive to Germanic Protestant whites or anything.

Well, this is not to imply he is innocent. Considering his seeming grabs for power, he certainly seems like a wannabe despot or oligarch. He is certainly a xenophobe of kinds, but there are a surprising amount of LGBTQIA+ in the MAGA camp, his ideology is simply nationalist. Simply put, I believe he is a wannabe dictator, but certainly no fascist, there is only really some overlap.
