The Deltarune race incentive on SGDQ got met! Heck yeah!

please please please don’t attack me for saying this but the normalisation of teenagers and college students smoking weed is becoming a problem
to elaborate, the other day i was visiting a college which has a bit of a reputation, as many colleges do, for having a lot of weed. and i mentioned one of my concerns for attending, which was the fact that if i inhale marijuana secondhand smoke, i have an asthma attack and physically can’t breathe. and i mentioned this to a couple prospective students and i both times got the reaction “it’s ok; you can just use edibles!” and i didn’t really say this at the time, but the fact is, i don’t want to. i don’t want to interact with weed at all in college, and—at least at my high school—that’s considered strange. and i honest-to-god believe that is majorly fucked up.
and here’s the thing. even expressing this sentiment is hard. because when i try to talk about the consequences of doing weed (yeah believe it or not there are some) or even my reasons for not wanting to do weed, people assume i believe myself to be morally better than someone who does do weed, and i don’t. i don’t feel superior to anyone, especially not for a reason as stupid as that. the thing is, i don’t want to use my asthma as an excuse for not wanting to vape, but i feel like i have to. i don’t want to use my asthma as an excuse for not wanting to smoke, but i feel like i have to. and i hate this aspect of the culture i’m in. i hate that i have to defend the position of “i don’t think eighteen-year-olds should smoke weed.” i hate that it’s considered normal—even cool—to consistently put recreational drugs in your body from ages 13-24.
since making this post i’ve been called a bitch and a narc, which i think really tells you something.
Me trying to navigate my dashboard right now
me playing any video game: *does not touch the block button at all throughout the game*
#no block button we lose like men
#dodge or die #there is no block
what the fuck is this dodge nonsense? You hit them harder and faster than they hit you and That Is How You Play Video Game
You cant take damage if the enemy is dead
Don’t talk to me about buffing or debuffing stats either. The only stat that matters is the enemy’s HP, and I am going to debuff it all the way to zero.
Why are the movies and TV shows we most worry will be spoiled for us always the most predictable ones?
literally is there a better example than this of the clickbait-industrial complex laying waste to craft….like no wonder the acting is so flat no one knows even the basic plot of the movie they’re filming
#i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again:#if the entire experience of reading or watching your story is ruined by someone finding out the twist#you didn’t write a story. you merely wrote a twist.#the twist might lose some power to shock or surprise you. but experiencing the story should still be worthwhile and compelling.#works of art like films or television shows don’t live or die on plot alone. there’s character and style and cinematography and music#there’s atmosphere and tone and pacing and everything else that contributes to that total experience#knowing in advance that the avengers are going to go to space and fuck thanos up is… literally the least interesting thing about endgame#and if you don’t think so then we truly disagree on what art and fiction are doing and what they’re for#nobody should intentionally spoil the whole plot of a movie to someone who doesn’t want to be spoiled: that’s always a dick move#but i am fucking *exhausted* by anti-spoiler culture#and i am tired beyond imagining of the kind of storytelling that’s evolved around it#the puzzlebox shit is only designed to affect me in one place: the wallet. not the heart or mind. (x)
I disagree heavily. If I where to watch a show that relies heavily on mystery, like a mystery story, knowing what the mystery is lessens the story alot because you are trying to figure out the mystery. Ive played two games where I knew two big twists, and I was so relieved when I got past those points, because then I didnt need to play the games with the knowledge of what is going to happen, and while I didnt know how I where going to find it out, anything that involved the mystery in the first place had no impact on me
To put it in a different perspective as someone that hasnt watched the MCU movies since Avengers Infinity War, knowing that Thanos is going to be defeated is not going to be a surprise, but knowing how, who does it, and who arent there in the journey anymore after sacrifises are going to lessen those moments significantly
i have a lot of questions but i’m not going to ask any
