Kat’s nightmarish & powerful outward etheric appearance & her ability to cut through the complexity of etheric mechanisms like butter… as an exertion of the force of the robots worshipping & believing in her as the Angel, this would mean the robots have some etheric value to pass on to her, presumably after destruction, but then who/what’s been collecting it to pass it on to the ether? is there a robot psychopomp? is it not death-&-collection at all, but some function of the Court’s etheric equipment? something Diego did to enable the robots to influence the ether some other way (perhaps this is the true intent of the Seraph series)? does this somehow have something to do with how (according to the Ch. 33 golem) for robots, being turned off is the same as death, so some lesser etheric energy release occurs while they’re off? will Arthur’s upcoming nonrobotic form shed light on this mystery?
