New song by EDX! yay. Ever since I started like electronic music, EDX has never failed to disappoint me. From Angel on My Shoulder - Kaskade (EDX remix), Spaceship - Benny Benassi, Kelis, APL (EDX remix), to Touched - EDX (original club mix), I really do enjoy most of his songs. Mat Zo's album is finally out! It's on the chill side, nothing super ragey (which I like!), except for "Pyramid Scheme" maybe. I think my favorite song in this album is "Caller ID". Porter Robinson always talks about how talented Mat is, and I trust his taste-- he really does not disappoint. I caught his set briefly at Electric Zoo, and it was one of my favorites that weekend. All his mixes on soundcloud are superb as well, I try to listen to every mix he posts!
My friend Cleo recently shared her Dropbox folder with us, with tons of new goodies! Love it when friends with good taste in music recommend you songs :) This is one of my favorites in the batch-- I just love sounds like this, very EDX-y. You know a song is good when you start to smile when listening...

My apologies for not posting in a while. I started a new job and have been really busy with focusing on my career. Regardless, you always need good music in your life! Here's a nice remix of Stay the Night by Nicky Romero-- finally something a little different, not the usual electro house ragers that I'm quite honestly pretty sick of these days.
This is a month old but I can't help but to post it. I heard it on Mat Zo's most recent mix which is on his Soundcloud (which everyone should check out btw!), and I immediately fell in love. Very Cosmic Gate-esque, which I really like. Especially the buildup... it's just so uplifting, euphoric, happy, all the good things put into one. I wanna hear this at a live event asap! Haven't heard good trance/prog house stuff in a while until I found this :)
I just can't get enough of Seven Lions. Melodic but also dirty. I like I like.
Wow, haven't heard a really good complete album like this one in a while. Every song is so tasteful. I first heard about Shook from Ellie Goulding - Lights (Shook Remix), which I was obsessed with. Very nu-disco, kind of Daft punk-esque, but also very contemporary. I think my favorite song is "Wasp", but "Always" is also very appealing. One word to describe this album: feel good music!
I like how there are many elements of electronic music in here. The many different kinds of sound makes this one super unique. Drum and bass-y, progressive, little dub, love it!

Yesterday, I was listening to a Guti mix and I stumbled across a song I really liked at Wavefront Music Festival in Chicago! I love it when you unexpectedly find a song you've been trying to look for. I really like the bassline here, but it's definitely one of those songs you need to be patient with; it doesn't really get popping until around 3:30. Maybe I enjoy it so much because I've heard it live where the bass is much stronger, but the rhythm is so awesome.
All of Lana Del Rey's songs tend to get remixed pretty well with edm. Summertime Sadness, and now this. I heard this song many times this weekend at Wavefront Music Festival in Chicago, which was nothing short of awesome. Kaskade's remixes also never disappoint, and this song adds to his collection of well mixed tunes.
Who would've thought a drum and bass take on Daft Punk would be phenomenal? Mat Zo played this during his EDC Las Vegas set, i'm sure it was a total crowd pleaser. This is dope.
Found this via Etonmessy's Youtube channel. I've definitely heard them before, and liked some of their stuff. Uk house again :p, but with some added groove.

Lane 8 is definitely an up and coming artist to watch out for. I first heard his song "Every Night" on a Youtube channel I'm subscribed to, and have following him on Soundcloud ever since. He's even been featured on the Anjunadeep channel on Youtube! This song has a similar chill, relaxing house vibe, something you can listen to anywhere, anytime.
My boyfriend linked this to me the other day because he thought I'd like it, and I do! Really like how the drop sounds wild/raw, doesn't it sound like you're walking through a jungle? :p
Got hooked on Pleasurekraft when I first heard Tarantula. This one's got a similar bouncy beat, also very close to the uk garage/house sound. I feel like that sound is kind of getting repetitive, but I still really enjoy it :)
