The wayfaring stranger stumbles onto the small town, like something stepping out of a fog. How did they get here? How long have they been wandering? None of this matters, not anymore -- they are greeted by a solemn looking creature, half man and half cartoon cat, clutching protectively to a bat (as if half in warning). “Welcome to Flavortown, bitches”, Garfieri, the mercurial guardian of this most holy place, tells them.
