((When I first made Gautier’s character, I created him to be firmly rooted in the Mojave. That’s where his parents lived and died, and that’s where the character grew up, and that’s the only place I can see him continuing to do so. It’s where, despite everything, he began to build himself a family again. Where he was taken to the Strip by Layla, made friends with Isfet, got cake from Charlie, and was eventually taken in by Trader. When I first made Gautier’s character, I never imagined this rude child would end up tied to so many others. I’m so happy this is the way his story turned out. I wouldn’t have it any other way, honestly.

And even beyond his character, so many of my others are rooted deeply in the Mojave. It’s where Gio first laughed with a dozen other characters, where Nigel met Morris, and a place where Giselle reconnected with her path and dedicated herself to moving forward with her own future. Moving them wouldn’t feel right to me, and I’ve had a really good run with them.

That isn’t to say I’ll never play any of them again. I mean, I’ve never had a good track record at sticking to keeping away from any of my old OCs for long. And that isn’t to say I won’t be around--I will be! But for now, I plan to take a step away from them and move on to new characters and new locations with Fallout 4 releasing soon, outside of finishing up a few outstanding RPs and clearing up some loose ends plotwise that would bother me to never get to.

I’m not sure what character I’ll make for Boston, but I’m sure whoever it is will feel right to me and I’ll have just as much of a blast with RPing them as I did my others. I’ll see you all soon and keep you updated here on what I do next as soon as I know what that is!))

Cole is a character who belongs firmly in the Mojave. He was created for there and that’s where he works best. That’s where he was born, where his mother raised him, where his friends created a raider gang, where he became a trader. Where he fought Isfet, where he made his first friend in years in Charlie and his second in Layla, where he talked books with Sam and got scared by Vulpes. It’s where he visited New Vegas and where he traded snarky comments with Vasquez, where he fought people with a shovel in The Mormon Fort and made a frenemy in Giselle, where he chatted and traded with dozens of other characters and where he rediscovered the concept of family in an adopted son named Gautier.

With Fallout 4 only days away and with this blog having been spotty for months now, I realize it’s time for it to come to a close. This doesn’t mean Trader is dead, or that his story is over. It only means he’s no longer open for roleplay here. I’m sure I’ll be back with a new blog and a fresh character next year as we all get settled with a new Fallout game, and I’m excited to see what the fandom brings. Thank you for putting up with this rude man called Trader for over three years. See you “in Boston”!

So my 3DS had an accident, and I’m afraid it’s very likely I’ll have to replace it.  Since I feel like a jerk for said accident having happened, I figured I’d try and earn the cash to replace it. So….

Well, that’s still stupid. Who wants to walk around with a bunch of people for that long and share food and shit with them even if you got enough guns to keep raiders away?

Anyway, you’re still gonna get shot at and maybe die or whatever. So why bother coming to a new shit place from your old shit place?

And uuugh, yeah. I’ve seen lotsa people get shot at for trying to run into the Strip.  [He shudders.] I don’t like even going near the gates if I don’t got to.

*Dimi pauses, briefly stuck for an answer on why she’s in Freeside. Or rather, one she can give to Gautier* I… just needed to find someplace new to settle, ya know? But hey, it sounds like ya ain’t a big fan of traveling, or sharing for that matter. *she teases*

*She then frowns grimly and nods* Same here, kid. Same here.*her favorite lunch spot has a view of the Vegas gate, and those foolish enough to try and get by the securitrons* I’ve got a pass now, but I still ain’t keen about going near those robots.

Hey, if ya ain’t got a lot to carry, or others to feed, doing what that dude does is normal. When you’re traveling that far with a shit load of people, ya gotta be prepared and load your carts with supplies.

Also, a buddy of mine owns some big ass guns to keep the raiders away from his caravan. I’m glad the Brahmin were carrying those rather than us strapping them to our backpacks *she laughs*
