Rewatching Psych and Gus truly is the Daphne of this show.

Despite not being the “smart” character, every episode he’s revealed to have some skill or special knowledge pertaining to the case. Ring stolen from a safe? Gus subscribes to a safecracking magazine. Murder at a spelling bee? Gus was a finalist in school. Nearly indetectable poison? Gus can literally sniff it out. Man of many hats indeed.
