i haven't really blogged about the show because i'm barely here but since i've seen heaps of people justifiably upset about the yotha/wa thing, i wanted to add my two cents.

i doubt they'll tackle this in the show but [NOVEL SPOILERS RE: YOTHA/WA] the reason why i can somewhat empathise with yotha (though obviously not condone the kiss with wa) is that, if i remember correctly, yotha was 15 and wa was around 20 when they dated? and that's its own issue but i could see how this gap in maturity during the relationship would foster emotional dependence on yotha's side. like wa said later, yotha only had him. especially because the relationship overlapped with yotha's parents' divorce, faifa moving away, etc.

cutting off that tie/ dependence probably wouldn't be easy, especially if your fuckass older brother kept that guy around at all times. so, i think the kiss was a stupid decision but i can see where it came from. 18/19-year-olds aren't necessarily the most emotionally mature, even without the addition of trauma. sorry for the essay lol

p.s. i loved everyone's acting (esp. santa's (🥹) and perth's!!!) so so much this episode and junior as faifa is my favorite thing. that's how you take care of your friend!!!!!!!! mvp of the show
