less than an hour ago, india passed a bill that erases the existence of trans people and puts huge restrictions on our ability to not only acquire lifesaving trans healthcare or just any healthcare at all, but also receive recognition and legal support. if you self-identify as trans, a right we previously had, and you don't fall within these highly restrictive terms (erasing both trans men and women + completely disregarding non-binary people, lumping trans people in with intersex people instead of giving them the legal and medical recognition and protection they so desperately need this country) you are eligible for "stricter punishments". whatever that means.
