ive been wanting to draw everyone together for a long time now so im glad i finally got to it <3 still an absolute favourite series of mine ⚙️🪽

the shadowhunter chronicles by cassandra clare is the only book universe that has ever truly made me FEEL. don’t get me wrong, i love many other fantasies and read other authors, but cassandra clare has held my attention for 17+ books and there has never been a time where i have felt bored, unsatisfied, or wanted to pick up something else instead.

sometimes i’m just so angry that emma and cordelia never got to meet. that jace couldn’t get a pep talk from will. that kit herondale was in the london institute without james herondale there. that simon only ever saw jessamine in ghostly form. that izzy and anna lightwood never got to throw a party together. that clary never got a hug from charlotte. that julian only knew jesse’s face from a portrait on the wall. and that tessa has had to experience meeting the different versions of important people from her past for generations, bearing it (mostly) alone.
imagine hating on clarissa fairchild when she’s the most important character in the shadowhunter universe.
