Do you have any advice for someone who wants to start digital art? What devices and apps are best?

hi 🥰 i'm not a professional illustrator, but if you want my advice i think you could start by deciding how much money you're willing to spend and then look up what devices you could buy with that money

then you could watch videos of artists making reviews of those different devices to see what catches your attention

it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed because it's not an easy choice... personally i spent weeks watching videos before choosing a tablet :>

there are many drawing apps out there and some are better than others, but i think the only way to choose an app is to just try a bunch of them and see what works best for you!

I woke up with news of a Star Wars movie and I nearly fell off my bed until I read this quote:

“It was called ‘The Hunt for Ben Solo’ and it was really cool,” adds Driver. “But it is no more, so I can finally talk about it.”

So you mean to tell me that THE Adam Driver, actor extraordinaire, who has always understood and loved Ben Solo/Kylo Ren was so dissatisfied with TROS that he decided to work on a script with Steven Soderbergh for a Ben Solo movie? And that they proposed it to Lucasfilm and they liked it? And yet AND YET Disney said no? Simply because they couldn't see how Ben Solo could be alive?

The same Disney that keeps resurrecting characters who have no business being brought back to life—and with no explanation whatsover? The same Disney that resurrected Ventress after she was killed in Dark Disciple? The same Disney that brought Boba Fett back because apparently "he blasted his way out of the Sarlacc Pit" is a good enough motivation to accept a character's return? The same Disney that retconned the entire saga and Anakin/Vader's redemption by saying "somehow Palpatine returned" expecting us to just go along with it?

Ben Solo wasn't even supposed to die in the first place. Not only because, well, basic storytelling, but also because we've all seen footage of Adam Driver being present in the final scene with all the Resistance fighters being alive after the big final battle in TROS. We all know about all the lines he had to rerecord at the last minute because they decided to change the TROS script every other day. And also because everything regarding that damned movie is fishy—to say the least.

Adam wouldn't have ever accepted that role if Ben Solo was going to be killed off in the end. And now that Bob Iger and Disney finally had a way to rectify their big mistake... they refused.

You can't even say that it's a matter of money because everyone hated TROS (reylos and dudebros alike) and everyone loved the character played by Adam Driver. Eveyone would've gone to the cinema to see his character once again on the big screen. Even the title was COOL, I mean, "The Hunt for Ben Solo" SIGN ME UP!!!

Aaaand it it was a matter of money they wouldn't have gone throught with the whole "The Mandalorian and Grogu" thing. It has honestly become a joke, no one cares anymore. That trailer was UGLY and soulless.

But I guess they prefer selling toys of that green frog than creating beautiful and meaningful stories that people will hold close to their hearts as it used to be before greedy corporation put their evil hands on the creative process.
