Dancing in the Moonlight - King Harvest
I really love meowsynth and just making versions of my favorite songs with it as the lead just makes me happy so I'll keep doing it. There are a few versions of the song but I really love the original and the Toploader version so I tried to keep what I liked about both versions in my own little arrangement of it.
I'll be honest and say that I'm in a bit of a slump in terms of musical creativity. So far I've just been trying to keep playing around as usual and not put any pressure on myself but I think pressure is what I need maybe.
When I was working I had zero time for making music and now that I have a bit more time nothing is coming to me naturally anymore so it's very difficult. There are days where I wonder if I even know what I'm doing anymore but that's just like late night thoughts maybe.
All I can do is keep trying my best so here's something I've been working on so I hope you enjoy it.

Merry Christmas
It just ended for me and I’m about to doze off again.
I feel strange… I had a great day today and I mostly just spent my free time playing some games.
There’s just this feeling where something is missing and also I don’t want the day to end. I think it’s mostly just dread that I have to go straight to work again and honestly nobody wants that.
To be honest I don’t really know what I’m looking for. Maybe recent developments have dulled most joyous emotions. I suppose it’s hard to be happy when you’re in a transitional mental state.
Just a few more days to go until the new year. A reflection on the past year will be needed so maybe I should save my thoughts until then.
For now I’ll keep on fighting. Even when it seems hard my life is atleast going somewhere.

Always reblog
Good evening.
I’ve recently gotten sick from over working but I’ve recovered today so it’s not so bad.
My PC was busted so I just went ahead and continued reading Sea Wolf by Anna Burke. As much as I would have loved to spend my only off day with my friends, playing something that wasn’t an option but hey it’s the next best thing.
Pirate fiction is interesting because the main spice is the dynamic between the crew and the captain. In this story it’s about Rose and Miranda and the other crew members.
BAM SPOILERS:
I reached the part where the Man O’ War was invaded by a third party and Rose was incapcitated for two weeks.
The last book established that Miranda has a habit of putting Rose above her crew. It was a fairly important thing for Rose to actively disobey her captain because it was what was best for the whole scenario because Miranda couldn’t think straight with Rose in the way.
This time, at least as far as I’ve read, Miranda is starting to lose the trust of her crew because of it. She has her own issues that complicate the situation but the moment that stuck with me was when she mentioned how Ching Shih protected the kids instead of herself.
I read a bit farther past that part but it got me thinking about leadership and what inspires it… It got me thinking about my job.
BAM CRINGE IRL GARBAGE:
In my work, we had a team leader. He was truly an experienced barista and he knew what he was doing. He was chill about work where as long as the drinks are served there was really no issue.
Because the company I work for is so corporate, the rules are very strict and it makes no sense to subject minimum wage workers to these conditions.
He was the ideal of what you would want as a barista where he knew what he was doing and clearly deserved more pay than what he was given considering the company forces him to work straight days back to back.
The guy had to resign recently because straight up what he’s earning isn’t enough to support his family. Honestly I’m glad the guy found a way out because this store is not worth it.
In contrast, our store supervisor dosen’t help with anything and just yells at us on how to run the store. All they know is what the exel sheet tells them and can’t see anything past it.
During peak operating hours they just stand there and do nothing. Sometimes they’ll even get mad at us for a small mistake. Like chill I’m rushing this order it’s not like you’re helping.
With the way they’re running the store, morale is whack and people are going to resign faster than they can hire. Hell we’re already down 2 members out of 6.
It’s just interesting how the analogy to a pirate ship and it’s crew just resonates with me right now. Fiction mirrors reality and it’s telling me that the goddamn captain ain’t worth dying for.
As I’m writing this, I just recovered from being sick and I’m slapped in the face with a 7 day straight work week like fuck off.
I’d start a goddamn mutiny if I could but I think the rest of the crew would resign before that hahaha.
Reality sucks and I don’t think my supervisor would ever realize how bad they are or get negatively impacted at all. The only thing I can do is to learn by example and be more like our old team lead and be the kindest person to ever work a coffee shop rather than follow a boot licking supervisor.
It really pains me to see the kind of person I’m becoming working this job because all I have on the mind are constant grievances towards management and corporate bullshit.
…
I started writing this just to talk about the book I’m reading. I wanted to make a point about how a good leader inspires you to act while a bad one tells you how to act. How that dynamic between crew and captain is so fun and interesting and all I did was just talk about my crappy job.
Ahh well… life sucks and that’s primarily why we use fiction as a means to escape it.
Maybe I’ll write more of my thoughts more focused on the book after I finish it.
Anyway I hope you found this angry blogpost somewhat entertaining or interesting.
