La Louisiane OC
- A younger photo of Evan Geiselman used as a faceclaim.
General Information
First name: Kane Alan Thibodeaux
Being no stranger to the south, I decided on a rugged name which seems to have been the trend here for maybe 20 years. Alan I found fitting because it’s a homonym for ‘Allen Parish’ but also the name of a plethora of Catholic saints. As a local (and as someone who is related to those with the surname), I knew that Thibodeaux is popular within the state.
Age (countryverse): 478 yrs
Age as a US state: 207 yrs
‘When European explorers arrived in what today is Louisiana, people had already been living there for at least ten thousand years’ - Louisiana Yesterday and Today: A Historical Guide to the State, 1996.
Age (humanverse): 21
Date of birth: April 30th
(Which is the date of statehood.)
Race: Caucasian
Authors Charles L. Dufour and Walter G. Cowan (as well as me) agree with this definition:
Creole- meaning descendant of colonial Louisiana settler, or being a settler
Therefore one is able to be French Creole, African Creole, Spanish Creole, German Creole, etc. It’s a blanket-term for someone who has blood derived from the first settlers of Louisiana. Therefore I’d label him as Creole and Acadian (a fancy term for Cajuns, which contrary to popular belief, do not come directly from France but rather Canada). I’m sure his percentages are split between French, African, Spanish, Native, and German.
Sex: M
Current residence: Baton Rouge
Traits of Voice: Husky, masculine
Accent (if any): “New Orleans” accent
Language spoken: English, French, and some Spanish
English being a no brainer. He speaks various dialects of French (Creole, Acadian).
NOTE: A dialect to a English speaker would be British English or American English. It’s not a completely different language but the same with a slight variation.
Physical Appearance
Height: 5’10”
Weight: Average, athlete build.
Eye colour: Blue
Skin colour: Dark natural tan
Distinguishing features: Aristocratic nose, hairy legs, piano fingers, visible vein on his right foot (It’s the Mississippi river, how quirky is that?). Always wears a rosary necklace
Hair colour: Light brown/dark blonde, honey color
Hair style: Unkempt, neck length
Complexion: Clear. Sometimes has sunburns.
Typical clothing: LSU Polo and khaki shorts with boat shoes OR Mossy Oak jacket with jeans and cowboy boots
(or as he likes to call it, ‘work boots’)
Is seen by others as: Always smiling
‘character profile template.’ by Kaishos
ETC.
Hobbies and interests include:
Showing livestock, fishing/hunting, gambling, OPEC, music, cooking, mechanics, air tractors, four wheeling, football, growing crops, guns. He’s secretly studying Voodoo which is a very unpopular and frowned upon religion that stems from Hoodoo and Catholicism.
Types of music he enjoys:
Zydeco, Cajun folk music, jazz, blues, country, and his guilty pleasure is operas.
Fun fact: New Orleans was once the American capital of opera.
Talent:
Plays in college and freelance marching bands with his saxophone. Loves performing parades. Also a naturally awesome cook and swimmer.
