A 16-year-old girl in California wanted to make sure nobody ever has to eat lunch alone again, so she developed an app called ‘Sit With Us’ that connects kids who need a place to sit during lunch with those who have room at their table. She decided to create the app in hopes that it would give middle and high school students a way to reduce bullying and encourage inclusion. Source

Gamestart 2016
Hello Quotakus, this year we headed down to GameStart 2016. This year would be GameStart’s third year going strong with their game showcases such as Final Fantasy XV, Tales of Berseria, Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization & more.
Admin Baka managed to try out Final Fantasy XV and was impressed with the battle system.
Look at the crowd watching the Overwatch Champions Singapore tournament.
Indie game companies also get to showcase their games. Below is Erisle by EXPECT STUDIO. They can be found on the Steam Greenlight. Do take a look and support them if you like the game! >>ERISLE<<

Event Overall Experience: Admin Baka: The event hall was cold which is a nice change considering most events are quite stuffy despite being held in an aircon area. It is considerably messy compared to last year. The lines for trying out the games were not well thought of, some of the games to try were blocking the paths where people would walk. They seem to concentrate more on the eSports. Which is totally fine, since people enjoy watching it. Last year’s was impressive especially on how they organized the queue for the PlayStation VR & the queue for Star Wars Battlefront. But overall, GameStart was still enjoyable nonetheless. We look forward to the event next year!
Admin SM: Overall I felt that the event was quite messy & not that impressive as compared to what they set up last year. But nevertheless, it was a great experience, and I hope they will up their game again next year! (^_^)/

Hello geeks! It seems like you are interested to know where to eat Ramen in Cebu. So here are the list where I could really assure you that it’s worth to try and visit!
Burikata Ramen Bar
A Japan taste ramen!! As I remembered, the last time I visited there we ordered Shiro Tonkotsu (335 pesos) and Kuro Tonkotsu (355 pesos) ramen. They also offer “kae dama” or means extra noodles by just adding 30 pesos or a plain rice for 60 pesos. I could guarantee you that the taste was like the same as the taste from Japan Ramen “Oishi desu!!”. You could also try their other kinds of Ramen by visiting their Ramen shop. The store hours open from 11:30 – 14:30 and 17:30 – 22:30, Monday to Sunday. It was located at Calyx Center building, I.T. park, Cebu beside East West bank . Don’t worry, it’s really easy to locate since their Ramen store nowadays is getting famous on Cebu. A little bit costly yet it’s really worth it to try.
NOTE: the VAT or “value added tax” is not part of the Ramen menu price yet! so have an extra budget on your pocket :P.

From Cabahug to Gorordo street, I am one of their chasing customers eager to know their current location just to taste again and again their Ramen. I am not totally a regular customer but I visited their Ramen house more than 5x already. :) The service was great and 2 thumbs up from their food. They also serve different kinds of Ramen, Dry noodles like Yakisoba, Side orders like Gyoza, Rice meals (I love their spicy “chahan”) and dessert! Their Ramen house is now located at 38 Gorordo Avenue, Kamputhaw, Cebu City. Opening hours is from 10am-2pm and 6pm to 11pm.
Naruto Ramen
I would really recommend this Ramen house for those who have a budget greater than 500 pesos. The service is kind of slow because they only had 3 or 4 staff on their store and the inside place can only accommodate 15 people max. But overall the food was great and less costly. It was located at GND Bldg.F.Cabahug St. Mabolo,Cebu city, Cebu City. Store hours: from 11am to 4pm.

Oh Yeah! I’m talking again about the Ramen here. It’s a little bit pricey yet very worth it to try. The last time I visited their Ramen house, we ordered Tsukemen!, Gyoza and Miso Ramen. I swear it was really good and you should try and visit their place. It was located at Oakridge Business Park, 880 A.S. Fortuna street, 6014 , Mandaue City. Again, so easy to locate by just telling the taxi driver “Oakridge in Mandaue”. The Ramen house opens at 11:00am-23:00pm daily.

Last August 12-13, 2016, the Japanese Association Cebu Inc. held their annual celebration of Bon Odori. Not only there are games, foods, competition, and fireworks, it is also a gathering of the Japanese nationals who were away from their homeland. It is also a way to relieve their homesickness due to their stay in a foreign country.
What is Bon Odori?
Bon Odori is a dance to honor their ancestors. The name of the festival originated from the word Obon or Bon which means festival or celebration of old tradition that was maintained by the Japanese people. The festival began 500 years ago. The festival of Obon lasts for three days. In Cebu, they could not follow this 3-day tradition. Back in Japan, the government allows their people to celebrate the Obon and declare it as part of their leave. In the Philippines, the Filipino people celebrates together with the Japanese as a proof of camaraderie between the two nationalities. Without this bond, the festival will be out of reverence.
