Let's👏 accept👏 negative👏 sign👏 traits👏 so👏 we👏 can👏 work👏 on👏 them.
Some Things I’ve Noticed
I will keep adding to this post as I accumulate more observations & I invite you to share yours as well.
Taurus are usually really into music.
People with the moon or Neptune in the first house tend to bruise easily.
Concentrated Aries/Mars influence on certain body parts often indicate scarring in that area (Aries Risers or individuals with Mars in the first house may have scars on their face or head, for example – I say “concentrated” because the sign/planet usually can’t be weak for this to be true).
Earth signs love animals and/or animals love earth signs.
People tend to reject the traits described by the following placements the most: Lilith, the Descendant, the 12th house, Saturn, & sometimes Mars, surprisingly.
If animals are affected by astrological phenomena at all, it seems like it would be mostly through aspects, the Ascendant, and the symbolism of the houses (in a much simpler form, of course).
Venus romanticizes what it touches. This means that we feel more vain about the traits of our Venus sign, we are more easily seduced by & attracted to the traits of our Venus sign and the themes of the house she’s in, we are more inclined to glorify the things her presence graces and therefore develop a warped view of them, we will want to include the themes of her position in our creative & romantic endeavors, and there is an underlying system of entitlement distortion influencing our approach to the themes of her position (excessive forms of the “I deserve it” or the “I don’t deserve it” attitudes).
People with Mercury retrograde and Mercury aspects to Neptune and/or Uranus in their natal chart are oddly inclined to self-diagnose (usually imaginary) mental or behavioral disorders.
Saturn influence seems to be surprisingly more morbid than Pluto influence when it comes to art style or other abstract methods of self-expression.
The 5th house has a lot to do with the music you enjoy (duh).
So many people with Jupiter in the 6th house are basically crazy cat ladies (especially if Cancer, the moon, or Ceres is involved). They like animals and they want lots of them.
A lot of Geminis are poets.
There are a TON of rock musicians with Capricorn suns (Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Jared Leto, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Page, Till Lindemann, David Grohl, Patti Smith, Alex Turner, Annie Lennox, Rod Stewart, Hayley Williams, Peter Steele, Lemmy Kilmister, Rob Zombie, Jonathan Davis, Chris Daughtry, John Paul Jones, Malcolm Young, Dave Matthews, et cetera).
Uranus/Aquarius energy can be extremely self-conscious.
Aries/Mars/fire influence is incredibly compatible with the art of acting, and many (many) great actors’ charts contain prominence of these energies.
I’ve noticed that the majority of novice astrologers say Gemini or Pisces when guessing characters’ sun signs. It’s easy to attach false personalities to these signs because they’re so versatile, labelled the chameleons of the Zodiac.
Virgo Risings usually wear a lot of their negative feelings as facial expressions – more than any other Ascendant, in my observation. Virgo moons do it too.
Libra/Venus energy seems to be attracted to harmonic music.
Taurus are often attracted to or very talented at coding (earth logic + Venus-ruled eye for aesthetic + fixed patience).
Underdevelopment is a bit less likely if Mercury is well-placed & if the moon is in a house that’s associated with the mind / intellect (3, 8, 9, 11).
Because individuals with planets in the 12th house usually absorb a lot of the emotions that surround them, they often feel that others can somehow sense theirs as well (especially if Pluto or the moon is in the 12th house). → Retreat & self-isolation take place when feelings or situations arise that are related to the planet. Someone with Mercury in the 12th house, for example, will likely close up when their intellect is given an opportunity to be expressed, but if Venus is in the 3rd house in the same chart, they may feel totally comfortable being romantically expressive with a partner. It’s not inconsistency, it’s compartmentalization of the psyche (intended to protect the parts of the native that they feel are the most vulnerable).
Planets in the twelfth house feel especially vulnerable when other people express energies related to it. Moon in the twelfth house likely feels vulnerable when Cancers or moon-dominant individuals are encountered; Pluto in the twelfth house likely feels vulnerable with Scorpios or Pluto-dominant individuals are encountered, and so on.
The imagination of each sign gradually increases throughout the wheel of the Zodiac, starting with Aries (focused on what’s in front of them) and ending with Pisces (focused on anything but what’s in front of them). → …Yes, that means Capricorn has the third biggest imagination. This is why so many famous Capricorns are artists (musicians, particularly). → You may be thinking, “but Gemini has a great imagination!” That’s true, but they’re too inconsistent & easily distracted for it to be considered big. It’s quick, flexible, and creative, but also “small,” so my statement still stands.
When an individual is severely underdeveloped or unhealthy, they will almost always exhibit 100% of the negative traits of their sun sign, whether they would normally relate to it or not. When the chart loses control to an inward spiral of self-unawareness, the ego completely takes over.
In relation to the last point, the sun is also the vehicle by which the rest of our chart is realized / externalized, so unhealthy manifestation definitely circles back to the will and energy of the sun sign.
People with Jupiter in the water houses cry a lot of tears of joy.
Something that is often forgotten or misunderstood about the second house is that is represents personal values, not just material values. It’s part of the identity quadrant; it’s not just about possessions! The energies of your 2nd house say a lot about what you value in yourself (i.e. what makes the definition of self provided by the first house worthwhile) and what you feel the need to accumulate & secure (which applies to both internal & tangible things).
Libras & Libra moons can become extremely resentful people because they feel that they give & give & give but never receive.
Air-influenced people seem to really enjoy animation.
People with Neptune in the 1st house easily end up expecting others to answer for them because they get used to not knowing what they want.
Virgo-influenced / 6th house people are often very physically healthy.
Virgo Venuses often have a particular concern for nature & the environment.
Taurus have the memory of elephants; they never forget.
Aries/Scorpio/Capricorn/Mars-influenced people are the most self-defensive signs, or “survival-driven” because they are prone to feeling threatened. This is why it can be especially difficult to have the 4th house cusp in these signs.
Foods you enjoy are related to Ceres, the 2nd house, and the 5th house, but the diet you choose to follow is definitely a 6th house thing.
Libra-influenced people are prone to developing an irrational complex that causes them to think each & every interaction they have with a person will define the entire relationship, as if each conversation or shared activity holds the fate of the connection. Thus, arguments can be particularly distressing for them, because they think they’ve permanently ruined something. This is also occasionally true for the water signs and Taurus to a lesser degree.
Natives with many / important planets in the fourth quadrant find it more difficult to be satisfied with one-on-one connections. There’s a need for a broader social scope, and a more widespread social identity.
For some reason, Scorpios really enjoy being Scorpios, almost more than Leos enjoy being Leos. Scorpio is one of the proudest signs in general.

Who Do I Attract?
So, I have a lot of these asks in my inbox right now, and it’s not really an ask meme, it’s an entire area of astrology! I figured it’d be easiest to just make a post on what areas and ways you may attract certain signs or placements.
The placements here are likely to draw in people of certain signs or planetary dominants. Usually, it will attract the Suns, Risings and dominants of these signs.
Below, in no particular order, are areas of your chart that may attract certain people or placements.
Your Moon Element will attract the same element and it’s pairing one. For example, a fire moon will attract fire and air moons. This is because your inner workings and feelings are understood by each other more so than typically incompatible elements, like water and air.
Your Rising Element will also attract the same element and it’s pairing one, but it may attract the Rising or Sun sign. For example, an earth rising will attract earth suns and/or risings. This is because your flow and ego is attractive to those who think and appear like you too, rather than those who are more reserved or wild than yourself.
Your Rising Sign is likely to attract, and in turn be drawn to, it’s sister sign. This can be in Sun, Rising or Dominance. This is because your ascendant is the opposite of your descendant, and this is the type of person we look for and admire. For example, Virgo Risings have Pisces Descendants, so are attracted/attractive to Pisces Suns, Risings and/or Dominance as the two act as a whole.
Stelliums which you may have will attract people of a certain sign. If you have a Stellium in a sign, such as Aries, you will attract Aries. This could be Aries Sun, Rising or Dominant. It may also attract Mars, Fire or 1st house dominance. If you have a Stellium in a house, such as the 3rd house, you will attract Gemini. This could be Gemini Sun, Rising or Dominant. It may also attract Mercury, Air or 3rd house dominance. A list of possible sign and house stelliums and the placements they may attract is below. The people you attract may not be mathematically dominant in these ways, but they may be prominent in their chart, like in their Moon or Mars placements.
Aries/1st House Stellium: Aries, Mars, Sun, 1st House, Fire dominance
Taurus/2nd House Stellium: Taurus, Venus, Moon, 2nd House, Earth dominance
Gemini/3rd House Stellium: Gemini, Mercury, 3rd House, Air dominance
Cancer/4th House Stellium: Cancer, Moon, Jupiter, 4th House, Water dominance
Leo/5th House Stellium: Leo, Sun, 5th House, Fire dominance
Virgo/6th House Stellium: Virgo, Mercury, 6th House, Earth dominance
Libra/7th House Stellium: Libra, Venus, 7th House, Air dominance
Scorpio/8th House Stellium: Scorpio, Mars, Pluto, 8th House, Water dominance
Sagittarius/9th House Stellium: Sagittarius, Jupiter, 9th House, Fire dominance
Capricorn/10th House Stellium: Capricorn, Saturn, Mars, 10th House, Earth dominance
Aquarius/11th House Stellium: Aquarius, Uranus, Saturn, 11th House, Air dominance
Pisces/12th House Stellium: Neptune, Jupiter, Venus, Pisces, 12th House, Water dominance
Your Dominant Sign will also attract certain signs. For example, if you are Aquarius dominant, it is likely you attract air or fire Sun and Risings, as well as fellow air/fire dominants.
Your Dominant Planet will also attract certain signs as it is the energy dominant within you. A list is given below. The sign in capitals is the sign ruled by this planet, so it is the most likely to be drawn to you. The one in normal case is where this planet exalts, so whilst they are drawn to you, it is not as much as the first.
Sun dominant: LEO, Aries
Moon dominant: CANCER, Taurus
Mercury dominant: GEMINI, VIRGO
Venus dominant: TAURUS, LIBRA, Pisces
Mars dominant: ARIES, SCORPIO, Capricorn
Jupiter dominant: SAGITTARIUS, PISCES, Cancer
Saturn dominant: CAPRICORN, AQUARIUS, Libra
Uranus dominant: AQUARIUS, Scorpio
Neptune dominant: PISCES, Leo, Cancer (People debate whether Neptune exalts in Leo or Cancer - to keep peace I have written both)
Pluto dominant: SCORPIO, Pisces, Aries (People debate whether Pluto exalts in Pisces or Aries - to keep peace I have written both)
For example, someone with Jupiter dominant is likely to attract Sagittarius dominants. Or, equally, someone with Sagittarius dominant is likely to attract Jupiter dominants.
There are even more areas you could personally look, but referring to this list can give you a good idea. For example, if you have Scorpio Venus and Mars, you can tell from this you’re likely to attract Pluto dominants, Taurus Risings, and/or people with 8th house stelliums.
Your Midheaven can also work here for the first attraction! For example, I was instantly attracted to my boyfriend when I first saw him as he was a mystery to me, and as it turns out his Midheaven is the sister of mine. The basic rule for this first sight attraction would be like this:
Opposite signs: Mysterious, wanting to know more, seemingly the same yet different to you
Element match: Similar, you feel they are like you in some way
Compatible elements: You seem to appreciate them for who they appear to be, but know you are not one in the same
Midheaven ruled by same planet: You seem so different, but there is a similar energy within you
You can obviously attract and be attracted to any Midheaven, but these matches would stand out for the purposes of this post
saturn in the houses
first house - saturn in the first house can seem like a very negative placement, because the shadow of saturn is cast on your identity, outlook and personality. and it’s true, this placement can make you come across quite stern or perhaps even cold or standoffish. you may be shy or just quiet, and you’re probably very mature for your age too, which can make things tricky. but, saturn in the first house also brings a surprisingly good sense of humour, sympathy and straightforwardness that will serve you well if you can put it all to good use. you more than likely have a serious outlook on life, and this can lead to negative thinking patterns and self-confidence issues, but with self awareness, hard work and patience, you can master your troubles and learn to manage them well.
second house - when saturn resides in your second house, you may find that wealth is hard to come by. and this is wealth in all its forms, not just money, but possessions, and even your sense of self-worth. you may control your spending to your own detriment, or perhaps you simply prefer to save your money and invest it rather than spend it. you can struggle greatly with your self-worth, finding it hard to appreciate your own value. it’s important that you don’t focus too much on the material side of life, though it seems so heavy; if you let it, it’ll drag you down. instead, try to work on something that will bring you a sense of fulfilment and validation in your abilities.. it’ll be so much more worth it. learn to find comfort in your surroundings, rather than coldness.
third house - this placement makes for a serious student, maybe a stern sibling. you often appear older than your age, because of your quiet, sometimes cold manner. you study hard and take in a lot from those around you, listening very carefully to your peers and family. because of this, you learn a lot throughout your younger years, and may be quite wise for your age. the only trouble with early wisdom is it can feel like a burden, making your days heavy and gloomy. it’s important that you try to find enjoyment in little things, learn about what interests you, and make the most of your amazing talent for listening; people will love you for being able to hear them out fully, and that way, you won’t have to do too much talking yourself! this placement often shows talent and wisdom but difficulty showing it, so try to trust yourself and let go a little!
fourth house - in the fourth house, saturn can cast a shadow over your childhood and perhaps leave you feeling down about your past. you may have felt that your family were cold, harsh or impersonal and that feelings and warmth were out of bounds, leaving you struggling to express your emotions healthily as an adult. there’s a tendency to shut down emotionally with this placement, and you may find it hard to connect with your own nurturing side. however, saturn in the fourth house often shows that if you can overcome your own issues with caregiving, you will find yourself to be an incredibly nurturing person; just don’t see it as a responsibility or a task! learn to experience the joy of caring for another, of loving purely and platonically, and you’ll see what i mean. this placement also makes for a sensitive and loyal individual, who can quietly commit to their home and family.
fifth house - saturn in the fifth house can bring restrictions when it comes to self-expression, dating and love, spontaneity and playfulness. this may sound like a placement that screams buzzkill, sure, but there are many positives to it too; this placement brings patience, the ability to really back a good cause, and a quiet, slightly brooding sense of humour that can really light up the room. a lot of people think this placement is doomed to a loveless life or a misery existence, but this just isn’t true; saturn teaches, and its lessons here revolve around love, creation and exuberance. perhaps you need time to discover who and what you love in life, or you need to make a conscious effort towards learning to express your passions and communicate your feelings creatively. all in all, i really don’t see this as a bad placement, it just takes some getting used to. and when you’re used to it and can put your best foot forward, you’ll find happiness in abundance.
sixth house - saturn in the sixth house can indicate a few things; firstly, that you have an enviable work ethic; secondly, that you may struggle with niggling health issues, and thirdly, that you can suffer from having the weight of the world on your shoulders. that being said though, i think this is one of the better placements of saturn, as long as you don’t give in to negativity and work addiction. you may feel you have a responsibility to do well, to work hard and achieve things, but in order to flourish, you must learn to work for your own pleasure and pride, rather than trying to get it from others. an important lesson to learn with this placement lies in recognising what is really healthy in life; the soul must be nourished as much as the body, mind and bank account, so be aware of your habits and let yourself relax once in a while!
seventh house - in the seventh house, saturn can have quite a harsh ring to it at times; but don’t worry, you aren’t doomed to a single life! in actuality, saturn here actually denotes very long-lasting, committed and comforting relationships, as long as you are willing to make some effort and learn some lessons beforehand. your relationships may be karmic experiences for you, and you may attract or be drawn to saturnian people. you may fear abandonment but push people away so you don’t have to feel the pain, you might struggle to open up to people and perhaps you’re a little cold in your relations with others. the first step to fixing any shortcoming is to be aware of it, and with seventh house placements it’s doubly important to reflect on your issues, where they come from and how to heal them and move on. and once you do, you’ll find relationships to be wonderful things, and may find you have a great head for business too, actually.
eighth house - in the eighth house, saturn can bring a lot of fears. fear of being out of control, or of being controlled, can be a major issue for you if you have this placement. you may be a very intense person who perhaps even fears yourself; the depths of your emotions and the intensity within you can be hard for saturn to handle, as chaos and control don’t mix very well. but if you can become aware of your issues, work on shedding them and becoming something new, you’ll start to see the good sides of this placement; and there are many. inner strength is a seemingly endless resource for you, and you can understand others easily because of your own deep feelings. your strength will help you to overcome whatever stands in your way, help you to heal and become powerful in whatever way you need to. transformation helps to dust off the negative side of this placement and polish its better traits.
ninth house - the lessons of saturn in the ninth house often revolve around the mind; specifically, the opening and closing of it. saturn here can indicate a practical-minded person who prefers to keep their feet on the ground than have their head in the clouds, and there’s nothing wrong with this at all! but all work and no play makes for a dull life, and by keeping your mind closed to new possibilities, you lose the chance at learning and expanding on your perceptions and experiences. saturn in the ninth house brings a brilliantly sharp mind and a huge wealth of knowledge if they let it in, as well as commendable wisdom and a steady outlook on life that can help others greatly. it takes time to build these traits, but keeping an open mind and heart will help a lot, and you’ll know when it’s working because you’ll be able to call on your intuition, knowledge and experiences to judge and advise on situations, without lecturing or preaching.
tenth house - saturn in the tenth house can seem like a very natural, easy placement, as it is in its own house. however, i think any planet close to the midheaven is under a lot of scrutiny, and saturn especially can struggle with judgement. here in the tenth house, saturn can make you a focused, patient and hardworking individual who knows what they want and isn’t afraid of a bit of effort to achieve it. on the other hand, saturn often brings fear of failure and so you can struggle to commit to any one path, or perhaps find it very difficult to put your talents to use or see results from your hard work. these things, mixed with typical saturnian perfectionism, can make it hard for you to get going with your goals for sure, but be patient; working on your self-confidence will help immensely, as it’ll help you to stop caring so much about others’ opinions of your life. you can potentially come across a little cold, but underneath any protective layers you wear there’s a heart of gold that just needs a bit of love and care to come out.
eleventh house - in my opinion, this is one of the more difficult saturn placements, especially in youth. it can bring a deep sense of otherness, of being different to everyone around you. you may be quite asocial, or perhaps you’re very lonely, but either way, it can be hard for you to establish friendships with people your own age. perhaps you had to grow up quickly and so you feel older than your peers. the thing is though, if you can find real, true friends, you’ll keep them with you for life; you’re loyal, straightforward and kindhearted by nature, you just need someone who can return what you give. you may struggle with feeling you can’t match the expectations of those around you, and this fear of failure can even extend to your dreams and aspirations. but if you can cut yourself some slack and relax your ideals a little, you’ll find that it’s okay to just do enough, and to be yourself. it takes time, but this placement does have its perks.
twelfth house - saturn here brings difficulties in accepting reality for what it is. you can be burdened by guilt and anxiety without knowing the cause, and your fears and sensitivities can leave you reeling at times. however, with time, patience and work towards understanding yourself and your wounds, you can make great progress in healing and recovering, in order to make the most of your talents. there can be a double-edged sword with this placement in that you feel lonely and cut off from others but simultaneously find it hard to open up and really talk to people. this can easily spiral, so it’s important to get your feelings out somehow; perhaps through a diary or a blog, so you don’t have to actually talk to someone to express yourself. the lesson to learn here is that, yes, life is awful and painful, but it’s also beautiful and refreshing, and you can see both at once without becoming encumbered or fearful. it’s okay to be afraid, but you mustn’t let fear control you. watch the flowers and become one yourself, open up and bloom.
