I totally get Ko Neung's quandary btw; not only it's very hard when everyone around you seem to know what they want to be when they grow up, but also having to leave the comfort of your hometown to try to build a better future in a bigger city is not easy, especially when you have a healthy relationship with your parents and your neighbourhood community cares and loves you, like in Ko Neung's case. It's a bittersweet feeling that stays with you for some time. I'm so glad Ko Neung will have Ko Song and his friends with him in Bangkok🫂

But I really like Augar. He says the things I wish Neung would. The way he told Achi that he only studied cause he wanted to make him happy and how he likes that Achi worries a for him.

How he simultaneously came out and admitted his crush on Neung. How he was kind of the first to feel the distance growing between him and Neung when Song showed up

And more often than not he’s the voice of reason when Neung comes to him

The embarrassment he felt really showed how he is just a teenager. In a way, it also shows his vulnerability and how he takes very seriously this relationship.

Being a teenager is not easy. Especially as we know that Ko Neung is more vulnerable than he lets others know or see. I hope by the end of the series he will know that his authentic self is valuable and sometimes it's good to be cheesy. Embracing who we are is so important.

The dialogue in this scene single-handedly showed how much the boys have grown and matured since episode 1. Up to this point, every conversation we’ve witnessed between them has only discussed their current worries or struggles. Very rarely would we see them have deep and profound talks about topics that weren’t taking place at that moment.

They’ve reached a crucial stage of their lives where they have to reflect deeply on what they want their future to entail. Adulthood is approaching faster than they anticipated, and so are the nerves and concerns about what that means for their relationship.

Ko Neung especially has begun to feel the discomfort as he’s grown used to always having Ko Song within arm’s reach. Even when the college representatives visited their school, his first instinct was to trail behind Ko Song despite having zero interest in the medical field. His future career was the last thing on his mind, his focus was only on the present.

The reassurance he received in this scene was the grounding he desperately needed. It was a way for him to realize some aspects of growing don’t have to be seen as scary. It’s simply a transitional period of life that comes whether we’re prepared or not. All he needed was someone to encourage him and let him know he wouldn’t be alone during the process.
