hii my name is jessie, i’m mainly a kotlc blog and i write fics on ao3 and draw a little <33

⭑ about me: she/her, queer, minor, uk, lover of music and books and writing and also women. did i mention i love women??

⭑ fandoms: i pretty much only post kotlc, maybe a little hunger games sometimes, but i also love:

various animes (aot, hq, bnha)

video games (stardew valley, omori - haven’t finished yet!!!! so no spoilers pls 😭)

singers (i have lots of favourites but my top artists include: phoebe bridgers, lucy dacus, abby powledge, lizzy mcalpine, taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, and conan gray - i’ve also seen leanna firestone, olivia rodrigo, and conan gray live!!!)

books (is anyone surprised?? my top 3 are babel by r.f kuang, gwen and art are not in love by lex croucher, and sunrise on the reaping by suzanne collins)

as well as mcyt (not in a gross youtubers who got exposed for being terrible people way!!!!!! big big fan of both hermitcraft and the life series)

⭑ my kotlc ships + other opinions:

mainly fedex and sobiana, but i can be convinced to ship pretty much anything!!

i adore fitz so much, him and biana are my absolute favourite characters (vackers 💯💯)

still haven’t read unraveled yet (been very busy!!!), i don’t mind spoilers about people’s opinions, but try to keep the plot a secret from me pls 🙂‍↕️

haven’t actually read any of the books in a good two years LMAO i’m due a reread at some point soon

THIS IS THE 5TH READING RUMBLE?? 🎉🎉🎉

Last year was very successful and going forward, this is what I plan to do every year!

What is it?

There will be 12 teams:

Team Sophie

Team Keefe

Team Fitz

Team Biana

Team Dex

Team Marella

Team Stina

Team Maruca

Team Wylie

Team Jensi

Everyone who enters will be assigned a team based on your choice of character. The max # of people in a team is 6 (this is subject to change depending on how many people enter)

The goal: To work together and make as much art, fic, analyses, edits, etc. as you can to post on your assigned day (each team will have a dedicated posting day). Teams will be assigned on February 3, and you will have until JULY to do as much as you want. Each person should have at least 1 submission.

While its not required, I do recommend having a Discord account, because there is a Reading Rumble server so that you can discuss ideas with your team and brainstorm! The Discord link will be posted along with the posting dates when the team assignments come out ❤️

FAQ

Can I make a piece that's not entirely centered around my character?

Yes! Ships, group pieces, etc. all count!

If I make an edit, do I have to credit the creators of the art used in it?

YES! This is a big one. I was lenient last year because I forgot to mention this, but if you make an edit without crediting the artists I will not count that post. And just saying "Credit to the artists" does not count. If you want to use a piece and you cannot find the artist who made it, don't use it.

Can I collab with other people?

Yes! You can collab with people inside and outside your team! (If it is a collab with someone outside your team, it will count as a point for both teams.)

How is the winner determined?

During the posting days, I keep track of all the posts! The overall winner is the team with the most posts, but I also keep track of the teams with the most art, most fics, most words written, and most collabs!

Thinking about how Fitz doesn't even tell Sophie, the person he trusts the most, his full name until Lodestar. Thinking about how Fitzroy means "Son of the King". in the same vein, sophie’s career is very much inspired by olivia rodrigo, i stuck dex into disney with her because i thought it was funny.

haven’t gotten around to keefe yet either, in my mind he’s childhood friends with fitz and biana, and his dad manages the business side of their modelling careers (he wants keefe to also go into the business side, but keefe now goes to fashion school) - note: may be inconsistent with things revealed about cassius in unraveled. tbh i don’t care, let me have my fun 😭
