Love how Light’s childish views on morality got cemented when he got validation for his actions as Kira, whereas Mikami’s did when he received pushback for them in middle school. It makes them clear as both obvious parallels but also opposites: Light believes he will be loved as a god, Mikami believes he will be punished as a martyr, and both are willing to pursue the same goal regardless.
