So I think I’m leaving this account

I don’t think I’m gonna be posting in this account anymore because I haven’t been an active phandom member for a long time now, I have found other interests here on tumblr and I just don’t feel it anymore. 

So if anyone is interested in Voltron Legendary Defender (I won’t believe you if you don’t know what that is... you’re on Tumblr...) and if you care you can follow me @red-blue-stardust which is where I’m most active at the moment, where I talk about nothing else but this series. 

I still watch DnP though, I watch every update, I follow them in all social media, I’m just disconnected with the Phandom. Eh, it happens.

Dan was particularly candid and open in this liveshow which made surprising how little he talked about Phil. I may be reachin' but I got the impression that he wants to reduce the Phil mentions to a strictly profesional context this year. He talked about how his audience perceives him and maybe he wants todo ditch the Phil Trash #1 aspect of his brand?

You are reading hard and projecting a lot from one liveshow, anon! What would he have talked about, regarding Phil? How they spent NYE alone together? How he went to see Phil’s family for Christmas? To me those both seem personal enough things for him to want to keep to himself. There’s nothing wrong with that. He’s allowed!

Not to mention, off the top of my head I remember him talking about how he and Phil are gonna see Hamilton, how Phil watched the Mark of Oxin game theory video that person tweeted, and how Phil was sick last week so “they” edited some bloopers for us. It was not a Phil-free liveshow, it was just way more heavy on the Dan introspection. He spent most of the liveshow talking about things in his own head more than things that happened in his life.

I’m the weirdest procrastinator. And the thing with procrastination, it all comes from a place of fear. It’s just awful. It’s horrific. My therapist said that I’m a procrastinating workaholic because once I start working on something, I work so hard that I injure myself and forget to breathe and do all this other stuff. I just have a problem getting started. For me, it’s like a perfectionism thing. It’s because I’m like I can’t just do something and try my best to do whatever, I’m like if I do this thing it HAS to be amazing. It doesn’t matter if it’s like an essay, a YouTube video or tidying my bedroom. I’m like if I do this thing. I have to like DO it, man. And that’s the thing, I put this fear in myself. If I was someone who was like I can just do it, roll with the punches and go with the flow of life but for me, it’s like a perfectionism thing. I know that when I start it, I’m going to work so hard that I’m going to be bleeding because I care too much, ‘cause I’m a freak. I’m definitely someone who cares.

can i briefly talk about something no one wants to hear about ?? (i’m going to anyway, i don’t need your permission fuck you idk who i’m mad at whoever’s gonna sass me about this i’m pre-sassing you back) you know when dan is really fucking hot?? whenever he’s being professional. maybe this is just me and my old ass, but dan talking to large crowds–especially if they’re not primarily fans–like fuck me up. like go to those events and network bby. or like in making of tabinof, when he’s directing, like at the end when he thanks everyone for helping. i know that’s normal behavior but it solidifies that he’s like in charge and oh fucking boy that’s the shit. in the fancy dinner vid with louise when he’s like the waiter guy just decided he was the one in charge of the group and it’s like he just radiates leadership and like that’s the good stuff. it’s a good thing i’ve never seen dan at business meeting i’d drop dead. like….dan owns companies?? he’s signed book deals and negotiated contracts. imagine him signing a binding legal contract *fans self*

he is such a good. he’s not a perfect, but he’s a good. he’s got this incredibly attractive quality which is his ability and openness to learn. it’s easy to see the difference between early dan and now dan. he’s grown so much and learned so much and he has such a heart for other people and cares so much about the work he does just because he cares. he wants to feel proud of content he produces. he doesn’t take the easy wait out and just he’s a good.

Dan is v v soft

he is soft ok and his softness is so important. it makes him gentle and kind, despite all the shit he’s gone through, and continues to go through. sometimes he likes to hide that softness because it’s a vulnerability, but vulnerability can also be such a beautiful thing because we are all connected to each other through our vulnerabilities and openness. 

but also dan is like so strong. and his softness is part of what makes him strong because strength is kindness and the ability to learn and grown and change. but there’s even more to his strength than that. he stands up for people–he wanted to fight that trainer that was awful to phil and he stood up and took care of the situation with that angry father at a book signing and he does things and makes phone calls for phil when phil can’t and he’s just a leader, okay? he might not always see it, but he is.
