At work we had a bunch of the kids playing live action Among-Us. I only found out because I asked a kid why they were laying under the monkeybars and asked them if they could move.

They also play live-action Minecraft which is less weird because when I was their age, me and my friends also played Minecraft on the playground and had an entire storyline and characters and pets.

I COMPLETELY forgot to tell y’all about my absolutely unhinged final essay in English last semester.

Anyways it was on the detriments of social media and how it effects the media teenagers consume (ironic ik).

But in doing this I quoted Olivia Rodrigo, Elon Musk, & I talked at nauseam about Taylor Swift and the Olivia Rodrigo/Sabrina Carpenter incident.

And IN FRONT OF LIKE 20 FULLY GROWN ADULTS I babbled for like 7-10 minutes on this topic, having not wrote my essay that was due like that week. And when I went to present the essay THE FIRST TIME, I downloaded the wrong PowerPoint.

I also was a part of a death penalty debate in my government class the same week that this all happened. I got an A on the paper and debate and in both classes so my unhingedness didn’t effect me much.

Quick story but I overshare so idk how long it'll actually be:

Our school bathrooms have so much History... From guys walking in and moaning to each other, the Ryan Reynolds shrine, this one guy breaking a stall lock, the vape kids in there daily before 6th period in the exact same stall (I swear to God I just wanna piss so I can have a whole drawing period and it smells like fucking cotton candy vapes or smth), and so much more crazy shit. I wore a skirt to school once (amab) and I had to record the sounds in the bathroom for my own safety bc the juniors were going crazy. One time I walked in and there was music blasting on a speaker??? The paper towel machines never work, soap dispensers fall over all the time, there are two gender neutral bathrooms right next to each other but they're like house bathrooms with one toilet and a sink (plus they're both in the theatre hall), you have to memorize which sinks work in which bathrooms, most guys don't wash their hands, people ask you if you're shitting all the time, some guys purposely pull their pants down all the way when using the urinals (there aren't any dividers either), I got called a pervert and multiple homophobic slurs (or at least attempts?) just for using the bathroom and also being attracted to men. Gotta love public conservative schools

Ngl I’m gonna be a senior in like 2 months and I’m sobbing already.

Like I didn’t really get to have a high school experience, COVID took 2 years from me & my school took another year because I go to an early college program. I work two jobs so I can have a *chance* of getting my bachelors when I graduate. I don’t feel like I ever got a high school experience and I’ll never get that back.
