People think it's ill-advised to make pacts with multiple demons because of karmic consequences or damage to the soul but it's actually because the pacts are magically binding, as in, the warlock has to obey. And if both fiends give conflicting commands the warlock's mind can literally split itself apart trying to appease both of it's mistresses
Anyway, my friend and I recently did some experimenting with this fenomenon and we found out that the soul is not only not split by the shattering of the mind at all, but in fact, due to some metaphysical shenanigans, a new soul is generated for new fragments of the warlock's mind!
So, we've taken one of her warlocks and we're splitting her over and over by forcing her alters into pacts then breaking them again with divergent commands. Yeah she's at 1024 alters so far, and since a demon's power grows according to the number of souls they gather, I think my friend and I just found a way to create a soul farm out of a single individual! Very promising!
and you're not worried about the kind of power you're concentrating into One Corporeal Form, here? one that has to remain docile for this scheme to work?
Not at all! And that's for two reasons:
The first is that the corporeal form and the metaphysical form occupy completely different realms. Even if it may seem as though all these people are occupying the same physical body, if you look at it with astral sight you will notice that the souls occupy completely different metaphysical spaces!
My hypothesis, which has proven true so far, is that due to the metaphysical distance of their souls, these divergent minds can't access each other's magic potential. And even if it's possible, I'm not that worried because there's an important failsafe; and that's the very nature of demonic pacts!
The inner workings of a warlock's pact are very complex, but the gist of it is that we bind a mortal's soul to ours, stealing most of it's essence while giving back a sliver of it's original potential as arcane power. If this sounds unfair, keep in mind that the amount of magic a mortal can typically use is zero, so in a mortal's view it's like they go from being able to use no magic, to using a considerable amount of magic!
What this means is that the vast majority of power of these newborn souls are being syphoned into me and my friend, the demonesses. So, if one of these alters were able to harness the magic of every single other soul of these minds it shares a body with, it would become an incredibly powerful warlock or wizard, for mortal standards, but that power would still pale in comparison to the power accrued by me and my friend due to forging of successive pacts.
So, if our subject did become hostile, AND had access to all that power, we'd still be able to take it down and start over with another warlock, unless some massive miscalculations have been made
