Heyo! I know you have terms for "agender loving such-and-such" already, but do you have terms for "such-and-such loving agender" yet? I've had a list of ideas sitting in my notes for almost a year now and I was thinking about posting them now, but I wasn't sure if you'd already come up with something yourself! - @kalliepride
I donât have any âsuch-and-such loving agenderâ terms right now so Iâd love to hear your suggestions or boost a post of yours
Hi there! I have a question: Gender makes me confused and uncomfortable. When I try to talk about my gender identity to others or myself, I just feel uncomfortable. Like thereâs a dark pit in my stomach. So I kinda just wished I didnât have to have a identity. So I decided to take on a genderless identity because that was the only way I could feel content. Is it okay to take on that identity, and is there a identity thatâs close to what Iâm feeling? Thanks Ù©(àčâáŽâàč)Û¶
I donât know of a specific identity that fits your experience but you have a perfectly valid reason for taking on a genderless identity!
I guess I'd consider myself agender but I personally feel better just going by the term non-binary (not that I have a problem with anyone else using it!!!!) so I hope that's okay for this blog..
Anyway, I feel as though I have no gender and I definitely would want to change some of my main gender markers but again, how do I know that I'm not just a cis person who doesn't really think much of their gender and just wants to break stereotypes??
It makes me happy to identify as non-binary but what if that's just me wanting to be âšdifferentâš?
I mean... I guess that could be the case?? But imo I highly doubt it. Iâve met many many cis people and none of them have ever wanted to identify as nonbinary for any reason, not even to âbe specialâ or to âbreak stereotypesâ. the only people Iâve met who wanted to be nonbinary just ended up actually being nonbinary
if you figure out that youâre actually cis at a later time then thatâs perfectly fine too! but wanting to be a certain gender usually means you are that gender
I identity as agender but present female. Would that make me less agender?
Not at all, you can be agender and look like whatever you want
Hey so I'm agender and when I think of my gender it's just nothing there absolutely nothing is this a normal way to be agender?
yes! this is a very common way to experience being agender
you know what? Iâm about to say it
I donât care what you think, agender people are freaking awesomeÂ
I see a lot of (stunning) nb looks that are very androgynous by mixing feminine and masculine stuff (like makeup and facial hair, etc) and I really envy how much they confuse people trying to figure out their gender and how they are very clearly not presenting in a binary way, but when I try to imagine myself presenting like that it doesnât feel right. Like mixing feminine and masculine stuff feels like âtoo much genderâ and I want to be androgynous but neither fem or masc (or both). Advice?
oof this is a struggle I have a lot. how to look androgynous without all the gender?? I havenât quite figured it out yet but some things Iâve found work for me is clothing that both men and women can wear, like hoodies or jeans, because itâs harder to gender those items of clothing
unfortunately a lot of those clothes tend to be more masculine in style...
you could take a more subtle approach to mixing masculine and feminine clothes like wearing a masculine styled shirt with a feminine pattern like floral, or wearing a skirt with masculine boots and jacket
wish I had more tips for you, anyone else with advice is more than welcome to chime in
Can you be agender if you donât really want anything to do with gender? I donât know that my gender is necessarily âemptyâ or nonexistent, but whenever I think about the way gender currently exists in our society (e.g. gender presentation is heavily policed, thereâs different ârulesâ for different genders), itâs like âwhy bother?â Like Iâd rather just opt out of gender entirely
yes! this is a valid way to be agender
Agender loving Agender, Demifluid loving Demifluid, and Demiboy loving Demiboy !! Iâve never attempted something like this so this was really interesting to do and i had a lot of fun with it :0 as always free to use with credit ! ALA is a white rose for âeternal loyaltyâ DFLDF is a white tulip for âworthinessâ DBLDB is a forget-me-not for âunforgettable loveâ ! also under the cut are two alternate ALA flags bc i felt they were too complex ajksdhks

An anon asked me a while back if there was an overarching name for the genderless flower orientation terms and there isnât, so any ideas? I really want a way to classify them all for reference.
Some really basic ideas would be like âflower systemâ or âflorian system,â but Iâm not sure if there are already systems under those names. I always look them up first and find nothing only to later find out they were used already.
@genderless-gibberish I forgot to tag you so that youâre aware. Some suggestions are in the replies, too.
Hey! I wanted to make a new post of your flower orientation terms that defines all the terms in a simple way and links the flags, but I wanted your permission first since youâre the creator of the term system. Flags and terms have been coined by other people in separate posts, so I wanted to make something that is easy to reference and has everything thatâs been coined. The original coining post would be linked and credit would be given to you and the other creators, of course. - @libragender
thatâd be great! you have my permission to do this
Hey! I've been questioning whether I'm agender or not. I currently identify as such, but I don't experience that much dysphoria when it comes to socially and pronouns. Also, I just don't... Feel anything much when it comes to my gender. I should mention, I've only been called they/them on the Internet (thru txt) and I'm trying to figure out whether I should come out to my parents. Phew, this is a lot, sorry!
you donât need dysphoria to be agender, all you need is to ID as agender. ânot feeling much about your genderâ is a common experience for agender folks
(1/2) hi! sorry to bother you, but i had a question and didnt know who else to ask đ basically, is it okay to identify as agender but not exactly genderless? im not great at explaining this, but my mentality is kinda just "gender is a social construct and i dont understand so nOPE" and rather than feeling as if my gender is Nothing TM its more just that it isnt important? like im cool with any pronouns, i dont mind how people perceive me, i just dont perceive myself as A Gender?
(2/2) if im misusing agender and theres a different term to describe it, please let me know, and thank you so much :)
yes! this is a perfectly valid way to be agender
omg Iâm so so sorry Iâve just been completely absent recently! been going thru a lot irl, I see a couple anons in my inbox and I will get to answering them but tumblr isnât letting me
