So the bit here was going to be Marguerite seeing Shane after his makeover and I Did draw a post makeover Shane but unfortunately I didn’t like him, so I may or may not try again at some point! But I do think this Marguerite and mini awful beard Shane turned out very cute, so here they are.

I’m catching up on campaign 4 rn and I miss Aranessa so much. I’m still riding the high that was the insight check between her and Vaelus in castle torch.

A part of me is still wishing she is a twist villain because it would have been so cool. She would have been such a great antagonist. An elegant woman in such a great position of power, who had to rely on the seekers to get her out of araman after the Tachonis house attacked, that secretly was against them would have been so delicious for me. A woman that had been arranged to marry the sundered houses biggest opposition, Thjazi Fang. While she did love him it would have been so incredibly interesting to have her still give in to power.

I think that comes more from the idea stuck in my head that the sundered houses are a negative power, while the golden orchard is neutral spot, it would seem, for fairies I can’t get my head around the dynamic the house Royce has to the fae. I think I’m still shocked from finding out that Thimble was a gift, and the tradition of gifting sentient being was widely practiced and common for the house. It made me highly suspect of Aranessa for the longest time, but the insight check from Vaelus a while back put some of those doubts to rest, but not entirely, I don’t think we ever found out what Aranessa rolled to contest Vaelus’ 23.

I hope she keeps having moments as their ally, her relationship with Thaisha specifically makes me all warm with love and friendship!

Julien screaming at Occtis after the latter wakes up as a Hollow One was such a great character moment because it really was like, Julien venting all his rage and frustration at a convenient target who was really not having a good evening himself to say the least, but also, of course it was Occtis.

Occtis was the person that, as far as Julien is aware, the rest of his family were interested in. It was because he (Occtis) was in potential danger from his family that Aranessa and his father asked Julien to find him, which Julien did so, and it was Julien who brought Occtis back to the Palazzo Davinos. And clearly Lord Raimond and Lady Aranessa's suspicions of danger to Occtis were right, because the Tachonis followed him there, and proceeded to slaughter him and everyone else in the house that thought to shelter him. With Julien himself watching Primus Tachonis quickly, efficiently, and brutally murder his father before following up with casting a Circle of Death that killed many people on the ground floor of the Palazzo, all while saying he wished House Davinos no ill will. All this death, apparently brought on by House Tachonis's pursuit of Occtis, and Julien bringing that pursuit to his home.

And then after all that, and after fleeing with Aranessa and Vaelus and Thaisha, with the latter carrying the body of the boy this all started with, the Tachonis boy sits up, his own death having apparently not quite taken. Julien just lost everything, and thing it was all for just gets to carry on with everyone celebrating what a miracle they have all just witnessed. All that rage and grief and guilt and regret had to go somewhere, and Julien focused it on the person at the heart of everything he lost.

Honestly, in hindsight it was a fucking miracle the world didn’t end in the 100 years Aang was in the ice. Not even just because of the war, like the spirits that were being angered left, right and centre.

Like, with the amount of nature-destroying, balance-altering things that were happening because of the war. I’m surprised whole cities weren’t felled by vengeful and pissed of spirits. They didn’t even have the avatar to sick on em.
