Oh so this Friday is gonna be Friday the 17th, which for Italians equals Friday the 13th in the US. It seems we connect bad luck with number 17 cause of the Genesis' Book in the Bible (The Great Flood started on the 17th of the 2nd month during the 600 year of Noah). The combination Friday + 17 may refer to the fact that Jesus died on a Friday.
Let's see other historical facts that talk about the number 17 as a sign of bad luck: - in the Ancient Greece: 17 was referred to as an imperfect number. It is in fact located between numbers 16 and 18, both considered perfect by Phytagoreans (they both represent quadrilaterals). - in the Ancient Rome (Roman Empire): in a battle of Teutoburgo, Romans lost their legions number 17, 18 and 19 against the Germans (all these numbers are considered sign of bad luck for some). - on graves, Romans used to write VIXI (from Latin = "I lived", as to say "I'm d3ad"), which is also the anagram of XVII (= how Romans used to write number 17: X=10+V=5+I=1+I=1). In the Medieval Era, because of the high levels of illiteracy, people confused VIXI with XVII a lot. - also in the famous "smorfia napoletana" number 17 brings bad luck.

My plan for tomorrow depends on me getting up early and doing the required work for university.
This is going to be interesting to say the least uwu
Is it just me or the uncanny valley of meme character design? Like someone who was responsible did this and potentially also named Discord (not the app).
My hypothesis is, this was an inside job. Someone wanted it to fail so badly they pulled all the strings. Or they wanted to see how many ridiculous things they could add without the boomers in the room noticing.
Been thinking about this all day, and I think the main thing this movie failed to understand about itself is this: the immortality was supposed to be the premise, not the plot.
Like, the immortality piece fuels the villains in the first film, but the unknowability of it is part of the point. It’s a dreadful curse, to outlive all your loved ones. Or, it’s a powerful gift, to grow and nurture a relationship for centuries on end. Or, it’s a complicated responsibility, a way you are uniquely positioned to help make the world a better place, and how much of that mantle should you take on? It’s the premise, the vessel through which the themes and characters can be explored.
The point was never to find out the “rules” and drop a bunch of lore about it. This movie took the premise and made it the plot, and that I think was its cardinal mistake.
Nicky calling Andy by her full name out of respect Vs Nicky calling his husband by his full government name because he's a LYING LIAR WHO LIES! Di Genova.
