after being told how great netflix's 'sex education' is and now watching it...dare i say it has better writing than 'stranger things'?! controversial opinion i know...but kinda feels that way. i know different genres and all that just the show is living up to the hype. who knows what s4 of 'stranger things' will bring, all i know is i'm still in s1 of 'sex education' and just really impressed by the writing. what were your thought watching sex education for the 1st time?
Omg, anon, I'm so sorry I didn't reply sooner!!!! I wanted to sit down and write a really thoughtful reply but then...I didn't D:
I didn't really think about comparing them, I guess? I do think Sex Education handled the ensemble cast better in the first series, but has subsequently got...not bad at it, but it's not as balanced as it was. (So many shows fall victim to this, though! Sigh) Similarly, ST has too many characters to really focus on any of them properly! But, yeah, the writing in SE, especially in the first series, is just brilliant.
I hope you see this, anon, and I hope you continued to enjoy SE!!!
you read so much!! congratulations 🥳 may you finish all 200 in 2022!! ◇ hmm. 12, 18, 20-25 =^
Gahhhh, sorry for not answering this sooner! D: but thank you for sending it!!
12. Any books that disappointed you?
I didn't think much of On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, despite everyone else seeming to love it! The prose was just too overwrought for me and everything else got lost in it
18. How many books did you buy?
About 40 I think?
20. What was your most anticipated release? Did it meet your expectations?
The only release I paid attention to was Misha's poetry book I think? And I really enjoyed that. Oh, and The Turnout by Megan Abbott, which I enjoyed a lot too! She's one of the few authors I actually keep up with and try to get her books as soon as they're released. And just remembered another: The Death of Francis Bacon by Max Porter - I didn't enjoy it as much as his first two books, though :(
21. Did you participate in or watch any booklr, booktube, or book twitter drama?
No, I don't participate in them, drama or not!
22. What’s the longest book you read?
Well, Goodreads tells me it's the complete Kake comics by Tom of Finland but that was kind of a cheat log because there are almost no words in it lmao After that it was Oryx and Crake
23. What’s the fastest time it took you to read a book?
A few hours for some of the graphic novels I read!
24. Did you DNF anything? Why?
Nope!
25. What reading goals do you have for next year?
Maybe try to get my to-read 'pile' down to 200 books? (It's at 232 at the moment, so it should be doable)

Tumblr said the issue with tags not updating/populating was resolved but it doesn’t actually seem to be 🙃
