Have you ever wondered what would happen if Atom Eve lost her powers? Without them, it's like she has no control over her appetite... or maybe it's just that her metabolism can't keep up. Thankfully you're here to help her through this turbulent time...
i figure i should probably advertise for eve's drive here as well. i kinda forgot i have a tumblr. reblogs & likes won't be contributing from this blog just to keep things under control, but if you'd like to support you can do so over on twitter or bluesky, or through donations!
if you'd like to see these parts as they're made, you can do so over on patreon
How many Vio AUs have you made so far, and which one is your favorite?
Of the ones I've publicly shown so far, I've made 6 myself (not including the Mystery May contest submissions)
There's Vio Prime, the original. Gymnast, martial artist, victim of pride and arrogance during her youth now trying to do better and live a good life as a human fruit. She's a bit full of herself from time to time, but she's got a good heart and is deeply loyal to those she cares about. Her berrying also ties to her hormonal cycle, leading her to swell up monthly (unless her body decides to make things interesting...).
Then there's the one yall know and love, the Spectacular Spider-Berry! Bit by a spider whose DNA was merged with a blueberry, she became a spider-human-fruit hybrid, and now acts as a vigilante using her powers to save the people of New York from whatever threats may arise! She's pretty similar to Vio Prime in personality, just with her rebellious attitude and hatred of corrupt institutions cranked up to max. Her berrying is the result of her juice being stored inside her, which she can expel like webbing from any orifice or part of her body that produces fluid (mouth, wrists, ankles, even armpits! Thought the wrists and ankles are her preference)
In February (or March, publicly) I showed off the first Year of Vio AU, Final Fantasy Vio! She's a Monk who has all the pride and rebellious attitude of prime Vio, but instead of being a permaberry, she's just super prone to falling into expansive traps and status effects.
Then in March (April), we got Office Vio! An average white collar 9-5er trying to pay rent and live a mundane life following a workplace accident causing her to become a human blueberry. This AU treats Vio's berrying as more of a disability she has to live with and adapt to every day, but she makes it work. (If you're looking for more involving this AU, including Office Vio finding love while struggling with her condition, I highly recommend Drinkypops' Conflict of Interest series, linked here:)
Conflict of Interest — literature by Drinkypops on DeviantArt. A very short story about [EMOTE]'s OC Vio Beaumont, aka "Office Vio" that rea
Still yet to get her full month (but she will get one, don't worry) is Adventure Vio! Having been berried by a cursed artifact tied to an ancient cultic ritual, this Vio travels the globe seeking similar artifacts and treasures, hoping to find a remedy to her curse while also keeping the treasures out of the wrong hands. This Vio hasn't gotten much save for some sketches and a commission here and there, but I hope yall look forward to seeing her more later this year!
Lastly, and most recently made public, is Vio Past Her Prime. A continuation of sorts rather than its own AU, this is a look at what Vio Prime will eventually become in 20+ years time. Proud mother of two, Vio still lives with her berry condition, but in a more permanent form as a result of post-maternal hormones mutating it. Her daughter Scarlett has inherited her berryness, while her son Sky hasn't, but regardless of human or fruit, Vio loves them dearly and will go to the ends of the earth to ensure they live their best lives.
And that's all of the ones that are public! More will come in time, but I hope yall are enjoying seein Vio in so many forms!
As for my favourite? How does one pick a favourite child? They're all Vio, so they're all my favourite in some way! They're all just different forms of the same character, and I love them all for various reasons.
I'd say Office Vio and Spider-Berry are pretty important to me? Because of their written works, they feel the most "complete" as characters. But I love each of them for different reasons.
Hope that suffices! See yall with more Vio's to come in the second half of the Year of Vio!
