Vigilante AU! Double Date Nett and Thiam

Nolan cannot see far into the restaurant, but he hears people talking, silverware clinking, and the hibachi grill roaring as they enter. Brett walks to the front desk and tells the young women, “Hi, reservation for Hale Industries.” Nolan finds his eyebrow raising before he hears a voice behind him, “The job has some perks.” Nolan looks over his shoulder and sees Theo with a slight smirk on his face like he could read Nolan’s thoughts. Still coming through the door is Liam, in a blue button up and khakis while Theo is dripping in all black attire. Nolan knew the Hale name had a lot of weight to it, not that the three were allowed to do use it for such occasions. So he shrugs and responds to Theo, “Fighting people isn’t enough?” “Mmm…” Theo is intently looking towards the main hub of the restaurant for another second before he retorts, “Blowing shit up also helps.”

“Who left this?” Theo was back again with his bodyguard attitude, Liam didn’t even get mad at it, he kept looking at the red rose in the bodyguard’s hand.

“I don’t know, I was busy. I assumed it was Brett, wouldn’t be the first time he’s done this.” The girl just shrugged like this was just a normal occurrence.

“Let’s go.” The bodyguard grabbed Liam by the arm and pulled him out of the building, quickly walking towards his truck, keeping an eye out for their surroundings. He walked towards the passenger side, not leaving Liam’s side till he was inside the truck. Only then did the bodyguard walk to the driver’s side and get into the truck.

“What does the card say?” Liam whispered, looking out the windshield. The bodyguard sighed, he threw the flower to the backseat and unfolded the little card. 

Roses are still your favorite, right?

“Liam—” 

Theo was interrupted by Liam's phone going off. The actor quickly grabbed it, thinking that Derek may have forgotten to tell him something, but no, it wasn’t. It was an unknown number. He silently passed his phone to Theo, he didn’t even want to read it out loud.

“Why do you keep fighting?” Daniel approached him, annoyed. The alpha roughly grabbed his jaw, his grip so tight Theo could hear his jaw near breaking. “Is he so good of a fuck that you are so dead set on making me angry?” Theo didn’t think, he just acted, spitting the alpha on the face. Anger painted the alpha’s face as he struck Theo across the face with the back of his hand, splitting the chimera’s lip. Crimson stained Theo’s chin as blood dripped down from his injured lip, but the chimera smirked, not backing down, not one bit.  “Do you know why there aren’t any other packs in this hellhole of a town?” The chimera laughed, even if at first he hated the guy, he had to admit that Scott McCall had done his job protecting this damn city. No one goes against McCall and comes out a winner, all of them lose or die. This guys? They won’t be any different, Theo will make sure of that, for Liam, for their pack.  “What is that supposed to mean?” The alpha growled in his face, angry. Fangs and red eyes on display, just showing how angry he was getting.  “It means… That you will regret to have come to Beacon Hills.”

Liam was not usually aggressive as people may think he is. The beta has control of his anger almost as flawlessly as Theo himself had it, only slipping here and there. But he was indeed often kind of angry and it was not because of his IED.  The pack often didn't notice the changes. When Liam's eyes would suddenly go cold like steel and the slight sourness of his scent. It wasn't anger, not really… It was fear.

“I- I messed it up…” The words coming out of her mouth were barely a whisper but it was loud in Theo’s and Liam’s sensitive ears. 

“Get her upstairs, Theo. Call me or mom if you need any of us.” 

Theo gave the beta a small grateful smile and careful but firmly guided Lydia upstairs, to his and Liam’s room. The sour smell of her sadness and fear was making the chimera even more on edge than he already was. Something wasn’t right and that much was clear. 

Lydia wasn’t like this. Lydia didn’t lose her composure easily, she was a logical person, too smart for her own good more often than not. But this person, now sitting on the edge of his bed, didn’t look at all like his best friend and that scared him. Why? Because besides Liam and his parents, Lydia Martin was the only person Theo would lose his shit for. If someone hurt her, so helped him God or any divine being because Theo Raeken would break hell on earth. 

“Lydia—”

“It was my fault…” The banshee didn’t even look at him as she said the words, almost if she was trying to convince herself more than to convince Theo.

The chimera moved and kneeled in front of this vulnerable and shaky creature that was his best friend, placing his hands on hers, a grounding point, warmth, something to help her focus. 

“What happened?”

“I didn’t know… Theo, I promise I didn’t know.”

To be clear about your prev post, are they coming to you and directly telling you these things or are they making a post about their likes and dislikes and you happen to see it? If it's the first one then yeah they can fuck off I agree. But if they are just making their own post about what they don't enjoy then that's not an issue. We don't need to take it as a personal attack just cause we happen to like those things. Also once i accepted that most fandom speak involves intense hyperbole I've found myself a lot less annoyed constantly. (Apologies if this felt condescending it was not my intention but I could see it coming off that way over text:( . I was genuinely curious about the context of your post)

Hi, so here's the thing... This is not the first post I made about this, I have been posting about this FOR MONTHS, because yes people have tried to tell me how I HAVE to write MY stories. So you must be: 1. new here on my blog 2. feeling called out or 3. someone told you to send this anon because this is literally just one of the multiple posts I have made on this topic in the last 6 months.

Btw, wanting a non-toxic environment is not a crime. It doesn't matter if I have been directly pushed by people or if it's others, IT'S NOT OKAY to say that if people don't write things your way or if they use their own hc, they are wrong. Because that's not how it works. Fanfics are something we write because we enjoy it and because we want people to enjoy what we have created... but more and more people think they are entitled to make demands about what others write and that's not okay. That's a big lack of fandom etiquette and it can make a lot of authors stop writing because of comments like those.

If you don't like something, don't read it, that's okay. But don't go telling people that they can't write it.
