"Money in exchange for illegal favors," Liam replied immediately, raising an eyebrow "that's the definition of corruption." Theo was tired of being attacked without responding. "It's not like any of you have ever refused" Theo would have considered it a point if only Liam's face hadn't twisted in disbelief. "That's the problem with people like you," he then simply said, shaking his head. "Oh really?" Theo then asked venomously "I thought it was killing people like you." "You create problems, solve them with money, knowing that no one here would ever refuse money, and then come and tell us we're greedy, immoral, and ungrateful" Liam spat in his face, his cheeks a little red from the fury "well, guess what? We are, but at least it's because we have to survive, not just because we enjoy watching other people's suffering" or Theo is rich and bored, Liam is an escort with a smart mouth, what could possibly go wrong?

Liam’s therapist asks Liam to write down every time he feels his anger building up before it explodes for a week. After a week he shows Theo the book and every page is full, not because Liam exploded, but because he’s fighting the urge dozens of times a day and nobody notices. Only then does Theo realise just how exhausting it is for Liam to simply exist.
