TMI tuesday! What do you think of Season 4 so far?
To be honest; I’m not overly impressed.
Here is my issue: They’re trying to desperately wrap up everything. And that’s not good, especially since most mystery behind the good stuff is getting removed, thus making many insanely good stories and tumblrs just awkward.
One of the instances is moon-fail. This might lead to insanely fantastic story, but the creators went “oh, well… Discord did it!”
Not to mention, that deus ex machina, known as Elements of Harmony which was removed from the show, was just replaced with another one: Tree of Harmony. Because, you know; Elements needed to go away… um… because… And thus going completely against the first two episodes, which made me watch ponies in the first place. We’re only left with a mysterious box that was made BY THE TREE OF HARMONY! so; I think it’s going to VERY HARD to guess what is in there.
Probably hats.
Team Fortress 2 hats.
Also; inconsistency: If the Tree of Harmony was robbed of its powers; why did only Luna became evil? Why not Celestia too? Discord’s seeds had thousand years to do insane amount of damage to the tree without any repercussions to Celestia or Everfree Forest.
They’re playing the thousand year old card as much as possible. This got old with Discord.
And of course, there were drugs and tentacles. You know; for kids!
The third episode was like blah competition, blah, Rarity thinking it would be a cool idea to check out the old mansion WITH FLUTTERSHY, because you know, bravery and such. Not to mention this decision took her only THREE FREAKING SEASONS. and of course AJ and RD were trying to prove to each other how awesome they are… Because, well… someone has to.
Daring Do story was… Boring to say the least. There was Rainbow fangasming over Daring Do, there was Daring Do being… Daring Do for no other reasons than revealing who Daring actually was. Also, the Defenders of Equestria just watched Daring through the window getting robbed and beaten and they did NOTHING.
My little pony is getting closures. Which might not be bad, since it looks like we’re looking at the last season.
But the problem is that the closures are either bad, rushed or they’re trying to re-spawn calls to the moral aspects that they were told in much much better episodes.
Now I understand why Lauren Faust left the show.
On the plus side; Twi still has her wings. Woooooooooooooo~
That’s the main reason I’m still watching.
What happened to Art9? ):
It had to be put down. Most reasons were of financial and personal nature.
There is a slight chance that I'll manage to resurrect it at a later time. But currently I don't have any time to do it. Like none at all.
